Can Srinu Vaitla come back to form with his next project

Srinu Vaitla is a name synonymous with hilarious comedy entertainers in Tollywood. He has delivered super successful films like Venky, Dubai Seenu, Dhee, Ready, Dookudu, and Baadshah among others, and established himself as one of the leading directors in the industry.

He is known for making commercial entertainers with special comedy tracks. But, he has not seen any success since Baadshah which was released in 2013.

His last few movies, Amar Akbar Anthony, Mister, and Bruce Lee have been major disappointments. He has been away from Tollywood for four years and has not directed a single film since 2018.

Amidst Sita Ramam’s massive success, producer Aswini Dutt made an interesting revelation. During a show, he revealed that Mrunal Thakur was the initial choice for Project K with Prabhas. The role has now been offered by Nag Ashwin to Deepika Padukone. Both Project K and Sita Ramam are bankrolled by Aswini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi movies.

“Due to this change, she didn’t get the part in Project K. She knew it was a big project with a superstar, but she loved Sita Ramam script and wanted to be a part of it,” revealed Aswini Dutt.

Mrunal Thakur was also seen in the Bollywood remake of Jersey with Shahid Kapur. The film failed at the box office. In addition to this, she was also seen in unsuccessful Bollywood films like Toofaan, Dhamaka etc. Her Tollywood debut with Sita Ramam has indeed changed her career trajectory and now she is one of the most in-demand newcomers.

Amidst these uncertainties, the producers got another shock when the news of the Janasena chief’s Bus Yatra was announced. The yatra was supposed to start from Dusshera where the actor turned politician would tour extensively and meet people.

This meant that he would be able to give less time to the shootings and created quite a tense situation for the producers.

The producers can breathe a sigh of relief as Pawan Kalyan has postponed his bus Yatra. It may start next year and the producers are expecting that the Power Star will complete his shooting part before this for his movies.

Already there has been a lot of delay for Hara Hara Veera Mallu. The makers have been continuously postponing the release date as well. It was supposed to release this summer and was postponed to Dasara 2022 and then to Sankranthi 2023 and now from Sankranthi to it has been postponed to Summer 2023.

గత కొన్నేళ్లుగా సరైన విజయం లేక కెరీర్లో బాగా వెనుక పడ్డ దర్శకులలో శ్రీనువైట్ల ఒకరు. ఒకప్పుడు కామెడీ ఎంటర్టైనర్ సినిమాలను తనదైన శైలిలో తెరకెక్కించి వరుస విజయాలను సొంతం చేసుకున్న ఈ దర్శకుడికి ప్రస్తుతం అవకాశం దొరకాలంటేనే చాలా కష్టంగా ఉంది. ఆయనతో సినిమా చేయాలి అంటేనే నిర్మాతలు టెన్షన్ పడుతున్నారు.
