When one thinks of iconic combinations in cinema, we can simply not deny the iconic combo of Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishna. About 2 decades ago, the two worked together in Rajini’s most iconic film Padaiyappa which was dubbed in Telugu as Narasimha.
She played a cunning and devious villain to Superstar Rajinikanth in the film. Their scenes are fresh in people’s minds to this day. Now, after 2 decades, they are joining hands once again for Rajinikanths’ next film titled Jailer.
Ramya Krishna will reportedly be playing a crucial role in Jailer. The movie shoot has begun in Chennai with the other cast and crew members. Rajini and Ramya are expected to join the sets after 1 week of the Chennai schedule.
What is even more interesting is that the character of Ramya in Narasimha was written by Rajinikanth himself as he wrote the story for the film. Even Jailer has been written by Rajinikanth, giving us the hope that the same magic can be repeated again. Director Nelson has been roped in to direct the film and Sun pictures are producing the project. Anirudh is the music director.
