Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Mirapakay to re-release in Theaters next week

The re-release trend in the Telugu Film Industry is looking to extend further to some other yesteryear blockbusters. Following the movement of superstar Heroes films, Mass Maharaja Raviteja’s Mirapakay is too making it on the list. The film will release on republic day Jan 26th which also is the birthday of Raviteja.

Mirapakay stars Ravi Teja in the lead role and Harish Shankar has directed this action entertainer. This film is the second in their combination, earlier Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar worked together for Shock. The film further stars Richa Gangopadhyay and Deeksha Seth in the female lead roles and the music is scored by Thaman S. Mirapakay movie’s songs were massive hit back then.

Mirapakay tells us the story of Rishi (Ravi Teja) a cop who is on a mission to hunt down Kittu Bai (Prakash Raj). In the line of duty, he is shifted to Hyderabad as an undercover cop and is placed as a Hindi professor in a college owned by Kittu’s henchman Shankar Anna (Kota Srinivasa Rao). In the college, he falls in love with a student Vinamra (Richa Gangopadhaya) and just as affection blooms, he is summoned by his boss and asked to romance Vaishali (Deeksha Seth) who is the daughter of Kittu bai. The rest of the story is about Rishi riding two romantic boats and roughing up, arresting the baddie Kittu.

Mirapakay was released in 2011 Sankranti season along with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Parama Veera Chakra and Siddharth’s Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu and Sumanth’s Golconda High School. Raviteja’s film emerged as the winner among all the films.

All 4 South Indian Sankranti biggies are successful at the box office

Sankranti 2023 saw four big releases in form of Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy from Telugu and Thunivu and Varisu from Tamil industry. All four movies featured top stars and fans were excited to watch Chiru vs Balayya and Ajith vs Vijay at the box office.

While Varisu and Thunivu were released on January 11th to packed houses across Tamil Nadu, Veera Simha Reddy was released on January 12th to Balayya’s career-best openings. Waltair Veerayya was released on January 13th and had a terrific opening weekend and is continuing its victorious run even on weekdays.

Surprisingly, all these movies are turning into successful movies commercially. These big-ticket projects had extraordinary festival collections and showed steady to terrific occupancies after the festival also.

Collections-wise, in Telugu, Waltair Veerayya triumphed over Veera Simha Reddy while Varisu has taken the lead over Thunivu in this Sankranti race. Overall, movie lovers were the real winners as they got to witness four big star movies for the festive season.

While Sankranti 2022 was a disappointing affair, with movies like RRR, Radhe Shyam, and Bheemla Nayak all getting pushed to later dates, Sankranti 2023 surely brought back the festive feel for movie lovers and thoroughly entertained them despite the movies getting mixed reviews..

Google Trends 2022: Most Searched Tollywood Actor (Male) Allu Arjun tops again!

Icon Star Allu Arjun has once again topped the charts for Google’s Most Searched Tollywood Actor (2022). This is Allu Arjun’s second consecutive year at the top of the search list. Interestingly, Allu Arjun is the only actor in the Top 5 list without a release in 2022. His last film Pushpa: The Rise hit the screens in December 2021.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is the second one on the list followed by Prabhas, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata was released last year and apart from this, he had a calm year professionally. Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam hit the screens in early 2022. He also made news for his Adipurush teaser and several leaked stills from Salaar sets created great interest.

Ram Charan and NTR made waves worldwide with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. The film created massive hype for the duo worldwide and while Ram Charan was busy with RC 15 with Shankar, NTR was away from the shoots much like Mahesh and Allu Arjun.

The list last year featured the same names with the exception of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi was replaced by Ram Charan in the 2022 list of Most Searched Tollywood Actors. The Google Search list is made based on the search volume against each actor during the specific period.

Manchu Manoj:

https://twitter.com/HeroManoj1/status/1615564635905875969?t=b12g27Dmq-NW1MwoS4Pkeg&s=19

Manoj to make an official announcement about his second marriage

The news of Manchu Manoj’s second marriage has become a hot topic since few days. Manchu Mohan Babu’s son Manoj who has divorced his first wife, is rumored to be getting wed with late TDP leader Bhuma Nagireddy’s second daughter, Bhuma Maunika. Recently, the news of the second marriage of these two went viral.

Manchu Manoj married Pranathi Reddy in 2015 and they both parted ways in the year 2019. He even released a public statement back then. Further details of Manoj and Mounika’s wedding were not revealed, and an announcement was expected soon.

Manoj took to his Twitter account today… “I have been hiding this special news for some time. Now I am excited to enter the next phase of my life. I will announce this on 20 January 2023. As always, we need all your blessings,” he tweeted.

https://twitter.com/HeroManoj1/status/1615564635905875969?t=oZ8eSmnNf2je-2tBjwek3A&s=19

It confused netizens that whether Manchu Manoj’s tweet was about his second marriage? Or about a new movie? We have to wait for two more days to know get clarity on the issue.

Meanwhile, Manoj has stayed away from films after the disturbance in his personal life. A film with the title ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ was announced long back, but there was no progress of it.

Manchu Manoj, who was introduced to Tollywood as a child artist, made his debut as a hero in 2004 with the film ‘Donga Dongadi’. He had a good reputation as a performer with a series of films and also built up a set of fans. Compared to his fellow heroes, he showed innovation in the choice of stories. However, after a string of flops, he lost his image and became inactive in the films.

Prabhas’ Adipurush team to begin All India Promotions

Prabhas’ Adipurush created great buzz and interest in the trade circles as well as among film lovers right from the day of its announcement. Everyone was eager to catch what Om Raut has in store and how he would present Ramayana with heavy VFX.

The teaser release though turned out to be a disappointing fare and Om Raut and team received negative reviews from almost all sections. This led the team to return to the drawing board and re-do the visual effects.

The movie will not be released as it was originally planned as the team is spending more time than expected on improving the VFX which received great flak. The unit has confirmed that the film will now release on June 16th.

With 150 days to go for the release, the team will now be kicking off the promotions. The nationwide promotional campaign will happen across cities in India with exciting events planned all over. Prabhas’ Adipurush is the costliest movie made in India and the promotions are expected to be on a similarly large scale. Apart from Prabhas in the titular role, the film will feature Kriti Sanon as Janaki and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and is directed by Om Raut.
