Prabhas’ Adipurush created great buzz and interest in the trade circles as well as among film lovers right from the day of its announcement. Everyone was eager to catch what Om Raut has in store and how he would present Ramayana with heavy VFX.
The teaser release though turned out to be a disappointing fare and Om Raut and team received negative reviews from almost all sections. This led the team to return to the drawing board and re-do the visual effects.
The movie will not be released as it was originally planned as the team is spending more time than expected on improving the VFX which received great flak. The unit has confirmed that the film will now release on June 16th.
With 150 days to go for the release, the team will now be kicking off the promotions. The nationwide promotional campaign will happen across cities in India with exciting events planned all over. Prabhas’ Adipurush is the costliest movie made in India and the promotions are expected to be on a similarly large scale. Apart from Prabhas in the titular role, the film will feature Kriti Sanon as Janaki and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and is directed by Om Raut.
