Two recent blockbusters arriving at Hotstar next week

Two recent blockbusters are arriving at Disney Plus Hotstar next week. Mammootty’s Kannur Squad and Siddharth’s Chinna (Chithha) are the two recent blockbusters coming at Hotstar next week,i.e., November 17th. Both the films received great appreciation and box office success as well.

Chinna is a film that can appeal to the OTT audience, generate further praise, and resonate with the target audience because of the content and message of the movie. Mammootty Kannur Squad, directed by Roby Vargheese Raj, is a massive blockbuster in Malayalam and collected close to 85 Cr Gross. Siddharth finally made a comeback with Chithha (Chinna in Telugu) film, which worked very well in Tamil and was dubbed in Telugu also it did not work at the box office as the movie had no buzz at the release time, but the film received very good reviews.

Both movies will be streaming on 17th November in Disney Plus Hotstar. They will be Streaming in Telugu language along with their original languages.

Suriya gives a big shock to Kamal Haasan. The release dates of both the films have reportedly clashed. It is widely known that Kamal Haasan is working on Indian 2 with Shankar. Meanwhile, Suriya is also coming up with a pan-Indian film, Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva. Recently, there have been rumors that the film Indian 2 will be released in April 2024. Suriya gives Kamal Haasan a big shock regarding the film’s release.

Indian 2 is divided into two parts.  The first part was planned for the April 11th release, and the 2nd part, Indian 3, was scheduled for the Diwali release. But the team made the costliest mistake by not announcing the official date in the teaser of Indian 2.

Reportedly, Kanguva makers decided to come on 11th April 2024, and an official announcement is expected very soon. The fans of Suriya were pressuring the makers to announce the film’s release date, and they will be happy to hear this news. 

Now we need to see how the Indian 2 team will react. Whether they come on the same date or prepone/postpone the release by a week or two will be revealed after a few days.

If they prepone the release, they will have to clash with NTR’s Devara, already announced for the 5th of April release. As per holidays, the 5th and 11th of April are the best release dates next summer for a biggie.

Bigg Boss Telugu 7 Day 69: Shivaji and Gautam Krishna get into a big argument

In the 69th Bigg Boss Telugu 7, the main part of the episode was the heated and aggressive argument between Shivaji and Gautam Krishna during the captaincy task. Apart from that, Pallavi Prashanth and Rathika Rose met their family today.

Before that‌, the 69th episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 7 started with Raamulo Raamula from Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo. Then, there was a small fight between Prince Yawar and Priyanka Jain regarding the Kitchen work. Then BB summoned everyone into the garden house.

As a part of Deepavali celebrations, Bigg’s boss sent the jewelry from Joyalukkas. After that, Rathika Rose’s father, Ramulu, entered the house. He had a good time with the housemates. The BB gifted the family photo of Rathika; soon after, her father left the house. All housemates danced to DJ Tillu’s song before he left the house.

The ” BB College task ” continued with a few fun moments as housemates imitated each other. Prashanth was not eating anything as his family members did not arrive. Then  Pallavi Prashanth’s father, Satyanarayana, entered the house.

Both father and son had an emotional moment. Bhole sang a song dedicated to Satyanarayana. He told his son to play his game with more focus. Finally, he left the house.

Then, in the 69th episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 7, the BB gave a new Captaincy task named ” Oh Baby “. As a part of the task, the housemates were told to take a baby doll with the name of a fellow member and run towards the Baby zone. 

Amar could not pick up any doll and alleged that Gautam had snatched the doll from his hands. Shobha Shetty, the existing Captain of the house, was the first to be eliminated, as no one picked up the doll with her name. Prashanth got out in the second round.

Amar took Yawar’s baby doll and did not enter the baby zone. He tried to break the plan of Arjun, Gautam, and Yawar. Yawar got out in the third round.

Again, Amar wantedly stopped and did not enter the baby zone, and Rathika got stuck because of him. Rathika requested that Amar enter the baby zone as he had the baby doll with her name on it.  At first, he rejected her but finally accepted her request as she pleaded with him. Eventually, Amar was eliminated from the Captaincy task in the fourth round.

Next, Rathika was eliminated as nobody picked up her baby doll. After that, Ashwini, Priyanka, and Bhole were eliminated from the task. At last, Shivaji, Gautam, and Arjun were left. Shivaji took Gautam’s doll, and the latter was eliminated. 

Gautam blamed Shivaji; he knowingly took his baby doll and stopped. Both had a big argument and yelled at each other. Shivaji accused Gautam of doing all this just for attention. Gautam was frustrated and asked Bigg Boss to open the door to leave the house.

Finally, in the 69th episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 7, Arjun and Shivaji were the contenders for the Captaincy task.

Niharika Konidela ventures into film production. November 10, 2023 marked the start of the highly anticipated production by Mega Princess Niharika Konidela, which was appropriately named” Niharika Konidela Production No 1”. Under the banners of Pink Elephant Pictures LLP, Sri Radha Damodar Studios Production No.1, the film was formally launched.

The film cast includes Sandeep Saroj, Yashwanth Pendyala, Trinath Varma, Prasad Behera, Easwar Rachiraju, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, Shyam Kalyan, Raghuvaran, Shivakumar Matta, Akshay Srinivas, Saranya Suresh, Tejaswi Rao, Vishika, Shanmukhi Nagumantri and others.

The event was attended by Niharika’s brother, Varun Tej, who had just got married. He came with his wife Lavanya Tripathi, and father Nagababu, among others. The event was further enriched by the presence of seasoned producer and uncle Allu Arvind, the promising director Sai Rajesh, and the adorable pair of daughters of Rajshekar, Sivathmika and Shivani Rajshekar. Niharika Konidela ventures into film production with a grand ceremony.

The event was attended by Sushmita Konidela, Niharika’s cousin sister and fellow producer, and Sushanth Anumolu, as well as other prominent industry figures. The event was truly spectacular, with every guest contributing a touch of glamour and charisma to the occasion.

The celebration ended with a traditional Pooja ceremony that brought joyous claps to the air, as Niharika Konidela ventures into film production.

Women wore elegant yet straightforward sarees, while men opted for a dapper look in shirts to complete the ensemble’s fusion of traditional and casual attire. The official beginning of this cinematic journey was signified by the ceremonial clapping of Niharika’s brother, Varun Tej, taking center stage to add a personal touch to the event. The evening was not only about launching a movie, but also about celebrating talent, family, and the energetic spirit of filmmaking.

Dum Masala: Hype falls short of expectations

Dum Masala, the first single of Mahesh and Trivikram’s Guntur Kaaram’s hype falls short of expectations. It is widely known that there was massive hype for the single as it came in a perfect combination of Trivikram – Mahesh Babu and Thaman. Also,  Trivikram-Thaman’s recent film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo songs created a sensation. 

The 1st single of Guntur Kaaram, Dum Masala song, was released, and it created a sensation with 17M+ views and created a record for any song in Tollywood for 24 hours views. Still, after that, the song’s trending is not that great. On the 2nd day, it was decent, but on the 3rd day, the song did not even reach 1M views. Getting 100 million is out of reach for the song at this pace.

Thaman has undoubtedly delivered a good song, as he gets mostly positive responses on social media. However, because of the massive hype, Dum Masala has fallen short of expectations, or the song’s genre might also have a negative effect. The team also wanted to release a melody song at first, but as it was getting delayed, they opted for this one.

Another main reason is the lyrical video, which did a lot of damage. The lyrical cut might not have worked for the audience. It worked very well for fans because it had many fan moments, but it could have been better for the common audiences.

Only the content excites the audiences, and Dum Masala’s lyrical video showed significantly less content from the film as except for Mahesh’s smoking shots, there was nothing. Even people who liked this song were primarily interested in listening to it on audio platforms as the lyrical video offered little to them.

The puzzle surrounding Lal Salaam’s release was raised because of Dhanush’s ‘Captain Miller.’ The film was initially scheduled to be released in December but has recently been postponed to Pongal 2024. The Pongal conflict has intensified with the release of four movies, ‘Captain Miller,’ ‘Ayalaan,’ ‘Lal Salaam,’ and ‘Aranmanai 4′, in Tamil. One or two of the four films are expected to be postponed from the Pongal 2024 release to make the other films’ release smoother. 

However, confirmation of the ‘Lal Salaam’ release date is out now, so we should wait and see how the other films will manage the heat of competition.

The sports drama Lal Salaam is centered around cricket, and its main protagonists are Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Rajinikanth’s extended cameo is used to boost the power of his daughter’s comeback directorial, and AR Rahman scores the music for the movie. ‘Lal Salaam’ is scheduled to be released across India because it appeals to a broader audience. Ilaiyaraaja ‘s Biopic will be the venture under the massive collaboration, and National Award winner Dhanush will essay the legendary composer’s role. Japan Movie: Telugu dominates Tamil in openings

Karthi’s Japan was released across theatres today amidst massive anticipation thanks to Karthi’s unique characterization. He promoted the film aggressively in Telugu and looks like that has helped the film significantly. The noon shows opened on an excellent note with very good occupancies. Several theatres registered housefuls as well which was unexpected.

In Tamil Nadu, the film opened on a very poor note. Occupancy-wise, Telugu states provided a bigger opening than Tamil for noon shows. While it was the star power of Karthi in Telugu states that led to this opening, the film, unfortunately, has received below-par reviews and ratings, and continuing the same momentum is very tough.

Normally Lawrence films open very well in Telugu states, especially in mass centers. Even his recent film Chandramukhi 2 had decent openings. Coming to today’s releases, Jigarthanda Double X registered poor numbers and Karthi’s Japan dominated the other Tamil films completely. The positive sign for Jigathanda Double X is that it opened with good reports and can pick up well over the weekend. The same can’t be said about Karthi’s Japan
