Connekkt and Mercuri Group are collaborating for multiple mega-budget films. Ilaiyaraaja ‘s Biopic will be the venture under the massive collaboration, and National Award winner Dhanush will essay the legendary composer’s role. Connekkt Media and Mercuri are collaborating on multiple films, which will be made over three years.
You don’t need any special introduction to the legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. Some of his magical compositions include chartbuster songs from films like Siva, Geethanjali, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Bobbili Raja, and Kondaveeti Donga. With Dhanush going to portray the Maestro, there are a lot of expectations in the film. This news was doing rounds in the inside circles for many days, finally it has been confirmed officially.
According to reports, the film will hit the floors next year. Dhanush may start the film’s shoot in October 2024. The makers plan to release the film around Summer 2025 if all goes well.
