Tollywood actor Prabhas rose to new heights with the success of Bahubali which brought him universal popularity throughout the country. This also made him a Pan-Indian star. His next outing Sahoo brought him even closer to the Indian audiences. Sahoo grossed more than 100 crores in Hindi Market alone. This justified his image as a Pan-Indian star. His current film Radhe Shyam is even raising much expectations with it’s extravaganza appeal and periodic drama. He is now charging record remuneration for his next project. This will also be the record remuneration for any Indian Actor till date.

Prabhas who confined only to Tollywood for many years has become a known name since Bahubali. The amount of Hardwork he put into the film stunned whole country’s audiences. He upped his quotient from then. Hindi audience started owning him as their star. All these added up to his new remuneration which is shocking and also the highest remuneration for any Indian Actor. He is taking home an amount of a whopping 180 crores.

Prabhas okayed a project with director Maruthi speculated as Raja Deluxe. The film will be a quickie project in the style of Maruthi’s humour. But what one wonders is Prabhas’ huge remuneration of 180 crores for this film. The film is planned as a Dusshera release. Prabhas has given 60 days call sheets for this film. This makes him charge 3 crore per day which is shell shocking. No hero charged such amount till date. We have to wait and see what milestones he will hit with his remuneration in coming years.

Actor Naga Chaitanya has started a food restaurant in Hyderabad. The restaurant name is Shoyu. This restaurant is partnered with Swiggy. With this partnership, Shoyu becomes the restaurant offering all renowned Asian dishes, he said.

Commenting on the launch of his first entrepreneurial venture, Chaitanya said, “Food is very special to my heart. I have had the opportunity to travel across the world and experience the best cuisines. Shoyu has given me the opportunity to venture into a space I am extremely passionate about. 100 is not just a number but a powerful statement in the Telugu Film Industry. 100 crores are the dream for many Telugu heroes and a benchmark for the top stars of Tollywood.

Among the top 6, Prabhas has achieved this long back in 2015 with Bahubali: The Beginning. Mahesh Babu has been continuously been achieving this target for the past few years. Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurram Loo and Pushpa: The Rise comfortably crossed this benchmark. Ram Charan has also achieved this feat with Rangasthalam.

This leaves Jr.NTR and Pawan Kalyan who has not managed to touch this milestone. But Jr.NTR has not had a release in 3 years and will easily cross 100 crores in shares with RRR. This leaves just Pawan Kalyan who has not managed to cross the 100 crores share despite having such a hardcore fanbase.

But in Pawan Kalyan’s defense, things have not been in his favor. Vakeel Saab was released with positive talk but was affected due to COVID-19. Similarly, Bheemla Nayak opened to overwhelming positive talk but has collected 85 crores in shares in 9 days. This is mainly due to low ticket prices in AP and the lack of ticket hikes.

Bheemla Nayak enjoyed a sensational weekend but dropped drastically after the festival period. It is impossible for the film to cross 100 crores with Radhe Shyam entering the field on March 11th. This means that Pawan Kalyan will have to wait a little while longer to join the elite 100 crores share club.

Saagar K Chandra, the director that joined the league of big film directors with Bheemla Nayak has a fascinating journey. A Gradutae from Vasavi College left his job in the US and moved back to Hyderabad in 2009 with his interest in film making. He worked in direction department for few films under known directors like Ravi Babu and Madhura Sreedhar. He then debuted as a director with Ayyare which got critical acclaim. Later he came up with Appatlo Okadundevadu which got critical acclaim as well as commercial Success. After the success of Appatlo Okadundevadu, he planned a movie with mega hero Varun Tej. The movie did not go on to sets for unknown reasons.

Saagar K Chandra then roped in as director for Bheemla Nayak as Trivikram liked the changes suggested by him. Though it is Trivikram who got credit for Bheemla Nayak, Saagar K Chandra had his part too. It is heard that Varun Tej after watching Bheemla Nayak had called the director and asked him to work on the project that stopped before. Varun is currently working for Ghani and F3. So it’s a happy news for the director who struggled to get his mark noted in the industry for more than a decade.

RRR makers pin all hopes on Hindi performance

A movie of RRR’s scale needs an equally massive collection in order to ensure all the parties are in profit. RRR makers had initially planned this magnum opus on a budget of Rs 400 crores. However, the pandemic created a massive dent in the production plans and the budget went up to Rs 550 crores.

Coming to the movie’s business, the situation in AP with the current GO restrictions might stunt the movie collections. It would be tough for the movie to collect beyond Rs 200Cr in Telugu states. Karnataka was sold at Rs45Cr, Tamil Nadu at Rs42Cr, Kerala at Rs 10Crs and overseas rights have fetched makers Rs 78Cr. The total business excluding north India is around Rs 375Cr.

While working with Rajamouli, every producer will hope for a jackpot and that might just be the north India belt. This is why the makers are going for their own release in Hindi. They are expecting massive numbers from Hindi and are hoping that the entire budget recovery can be done with theatricals only. After this, whatever is made from satellite rights and OTT rights is going to be a profit for RRR makers.

The movie is set to release on March 25th and just like Baahubali 2, the makers are planning paid premieres in India on March 24th. The US pre-sales have also generated record business and the same has been the case with the UK. Overall, RRR is all set to have a bumper opening on March 25th.

Ahead of its release on March 11th, here are the OTT streaming details of Radhe Shyam. The digital streaming rights of Radhe Shyam have been bought by top OTT platform Amazon Prime for a whopping price.

Amazon Prime is clearly trying to completely grab hold of the South Indian market by capturing the rights of most of the major South Indian films.

The movie will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video only after 4 weeks of theatrical release. This is a surprise as huge films are usually released on OTT after months of release. This decision from the makers is probably due to the release of RRR on 25th March 2022.

Apart from Prabhas, Radhe Shyam is star-packed with Pooja Hegde, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, and Bhagyashree among others. Radha Krishna Kumar is the director of the film and UV Creations have produced the movie. Justin Prabhakaran is the music director.
