Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara has been released today in theatres and the opening numbers look extremely promising. After the recent lull of Telugu films at the box office, Bimbisara is on track to change Tollywood’s fortunes.
The advance bookings of the film are phenomenal, and the best in recent times. The early morning shows and the noon shows are expected to open with 100 % occupancies in most territories. This is not only a great sign for the film but also a great sign for the industry.
Everything seems to be going right for Bimbisara and if it gets positive word of mouth from audiences, it will have a sensational opening day at the box office, followed by an even better weekend performance.
There has never been this much hype before for a Kalyan Ram movie and as JR.NTR said in the pre-release event of Bimbisara, that we will now look at Kalyan Ram’s career before and after Bimbisara.
It is also one of Kalyan Ram’s most ambitious projects, shot on a budget of 40 crores. But if the movie strikes the right chord with audiences, it will breeze past the breakeven mark. This is just the start and only time will tell whether Bimbisara can bring back audiences to the theatres or not.
Bimbisara also stars Catherine Tresa, Srinivas Reddy, Samyuktha Menon and Vennela Kishore in promising roles. K Vashishta is the director of the movie and NTR Arts has produced the film. MM Keeravani is the music director of the film.
