https://twitter.com/VigneshShivN/status/1579094363095052288?t=pW4FCG6bhpzhlW2FGjnATQ&s=19

Nayantara and Vignesh Sivan say they have been married for 6 years

Lady Superstar Nayantara – Director Vignesh Sivan couple recently announced that they are parents. They expressed their happiness on social media by saying that they had twins. But their happiness did not last long.

When Nayanatara and Vignesh announced that they had twins born four months after their marriage, eventually everyone understood that the couple became parents through surrogacy.

However, questions have been raised as to whether surrogate births are done by the rules. In this context, the Tamil Nadu government has issued notices to the Nayanthara couple.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian said a probe would be launched to see if the couple violated surrogacy laws.

A three-member committee has been appointed in accordance to inquire whether Vignesh – Nayanatara couple’s surrogacy is legal or not. The committee has to submit a report to the government within a week. It seemed that Nayantara and Vignesh Sivan will be investigated as part of this.

But it is heard that the celebrity couple is planning to get out of this problem legally. Indian law has certain rules for getting children through surrogacy. This law came into force in January 2022. The main allegation heard now is that the Nayantara couple has violated the rules contained therein.

Now reports have it that Nayantara and Vignesh gave an affidavit given to the Tamil Nadu health department that their marriage was registered six years ago. The revelation comes at a time when it’s most needed.

On October 9, Vignesh Shivan tweeted that they have become parents of twin boys. They tied the knot in June this year.

https://twitter.com/VigneshShivN/status/1579094363095052288?t=sZrTh8W96kB2zSn80j06qg&s=19

As per existing norms, couples can opt for surrogacy only if they have no children at least five years after marriage.

It is in this light that the couple has come up with fresh claims. They have reportedly produced the document of marriage registration along with the affidavit. A team led by the health director is probing the matter.

The hospital in Chennai where the twins were born has been identified. It was also revealed that a Malayali based in Dubai had given birth to the twins.

Rebel Re-release Is A Failure; The Numbers Are Very Low

The trend of re-releasing old classics or blockbuster movies of stars has become very common now. It is also working very big recently and a lot of actors are benefiting from this as well.

We have seen this in the case of movies like Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri, Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa, and Balakrishna’s Chennakesava Reddy. While all these movies did great numbers, there are also some re-releases that do not work. For example, Chiranjeevi’s Gharana Mogudu did not attract the audience.

Now Prabhas’ Rebel has been re-released for this weekend and except for 5-6 shows, all the other shows have shown poor bookings and low occupancy. The general audience does not have any interest to watch this movie in the theatres.

Most fans also do not want to watch Rebel in theatres. This is probably because Rebel is not one of Prabhas’ best works. The film was never liked even when it was originally released.

Now all eyes are on Billa as fans of Prabhas are planning a grand re-release on the occasion of his birthday. It may work due to the cult look of Prabhas in Billa but only time will tell us.

A Kannada Dubbed Film Is Dominating Over Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather

Chiranjeevi’s Godfather was released in theatres on 5th October and opened to decent opening day collections. With positive word of mouth, the film managed to still only post average weekend collections. There was some hope that the movie will pick up due to the word of mouth but the collections speak for themselves.

Godfather performed poorly in the coming weekdays and failed to pick up the momentum on the second Saturday. The poor run of Chiranjeevi’s films has continued with Godfather and this is a worrying sign because the reviews for the film are mostly positive as well.

What is even more surprising is that a Kannada dubbed film Kantara is creating waves in the Telugu version. The film has posted more collections than Godfather and is dominating the box office.

Kantara has become the 1st preferred movie of the Telugu audience for this weekend. Looking at this, Godfather seems to have reached the end of its theatrical run. The team seems to be celebrating the success of an unsuccessful movie.

Netflix is now streaming the RRR English version for international audience

SS Rajamouli’s Pan-Indian action drama RRR is still making the headlines 7 months after its theatrical release. First, it set the box office on fire with record-breaking collections. It even created benchmarks on OTT as well. This Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer premiered on Netflix and Zee 5 a few months ago. Earlier, RRR had created a record for being watched movie on Netflix from 23rd May to 29th May.

The international audience and especially the western audience has received the RRR movie to another level. Seeing the huge applause and grand reception, now Netflix has started streaming the English version to attract more international audiences. It can be said that Netflix is one of the crucial reasons for the RRR team’s Oscar campaign. After RRR received great appreciation after premiering on Netflix, the RRR team was shocked with the Applause of international audience. Then they realized the reach and stamina of RRR and started promoting the movie at a bigger level to get the Oscar award.

RRR wasn’t selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars 2023. Instead, the Gujarati film Chhello Show (Last Film Show) has been picked as India’s official entry to the Oscars 2023.

However, the RRR team didn’t lose hope and applied for Oscars in 14 categories under the ‘For your consideration (FYC) campaign.

RRR team has asked for consideration in categories including– Best Picture (DVV Danayya), Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt) and more. Besides this, RRR has also shown hope to be nominated in categories such as Screenplay, Score, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design, VFX, and its song Naatu Naatu for Best Original Song.

Now with the OTT giant Netflix streaming the RRR English version, we’ll have to wait and see how much it benefits the Oscar campaign of RRR.

On the other hand, Netflix, which believed in mostly Hindi content in the past, seems to have focused on South content like never before under the influence of ‘RRR’.

Netflix, which has attracted and impressed the South audience with RRR, is getting the streaming rights of the upcoming big South movies very competitively like Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, Walteru Veerayya (Mega154), and if the inside reports are to be believed, Netflix has also acquired the rights of Prabhas Adipurush (all languages) and recently announced crazy project of Chiyaan Vikram and Pa Ranjith.
