Megastar Chiranjeevi presenting Aamir Khan’s film

Megastar Chiranjeevi will be associated with Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha. He will be presenting the film in Telugu. Chiranjeevi made this announcement on Twitter earlier today.

On Friday night, Aamir Khan arranged a special screening of Lal Singh Chaddha at Megastar Chiranjeevi’s home. The screening was attended by SS Rajamouli, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya (who is in the film) and Sukumar.

Lal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Tom Hanks starter Forrest Gump. The film stars Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in key roles. It will release on 11th August.

At the moment Chiranjeevi is working on the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer titled Godfather in Telugu.

Post this, he has another remake Bhola Shankar which will be directed by Meher Ramesh. Bhola Shankar is a remake of Ajith starrer Tamil superhit ‘Vedalam’. Megastar will also be seen in direct films Waltair Veerayya which will be directed by Bobby.

Along with these projects, Chiranjeevi has officially announced another project that has surprised many fans. He will soon work with director Maruthi in one of his upcoming films.

మనం ఫేం విక్రమ్ కుమార్ దర్శకత్వంలో వస్తున్న ‘థాంక్యూ’ చిత్రం విడుద‌లకు సిద్ధంగా ఉంది.నిజానికి ఈ చిత్రం జూలై 8న విడుద‌ల కావల్సి ఉన్నా.. ప‌లు కార‌ణాల వ‌ల్ల ఈ చిత్రం రెండు వారాలు పోస్ట్ పోన్ అయి జూలై 22న విడుదల అవుతుంది. మొదట్లో ఈ చిత్ర‌బృందం వ‌రుస అప్‌డేట్‌ల‌ను ప్ర‌క‌టిస్తూ సినిమాపై ఆస‌క్తిని పెంచడానికి తమ వంతు కృషి చేశాయి. అయితే ఈ చిత్రం విడుదల వాయిదా వేసిన క్షణం నుంచి ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలు అనేవి లేకుండా పోయాయి.

ఉస్తాద్ రామ్ పోతినేని, లేటెస్ట్ సెన్సెషన్ కృతి శెట్టి జంటగా నటించిన చిత్రం ‘ది వారియర్’. ‘ఇస్మార్ట్ శంకర్’తర్వాత రామ్ మరోసారి మాస్ సినిమాతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చారు. తమిళ దర్శకుడు లింగుస్వామి దర్శకత్వంలో పవర్ ఫుల్ పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ గా రామ్ పోతినేని ఈ యాక్షన్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ లో నటించారు. భారీ అంచనాల నడుమ ఈ చిత్రం నిన్న ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా 1200కు పైగా థియేటర్లలో పెద్ద ఎత్తున విడుదల అయింది.

ఇక బాక్స్ ఆఫీస్ వద్ద “ది వారియర్’ సినిమా వసూళ్ల పరిస్థితి తొలి రోజు వరకు పరవాలేదు అనే స్ధాయిలో ఉన్నాయి. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా తొలిరోజున ఈ చిత్రం దాదాపు 8 కోట్ల వరకు చేసింది. అయితే ఈ చిత్ర ప్రి రిలీజ్ బిజినెస్ దాదాపు 44 కోట్లకు చేసినందు వల్ల ఈ కలెక్షన్లు సరిపోవని.. వారాంతాల్లో కలెక్షన్లు పెరగకపోతే సినిమా పరాజయం పాలవడం ఖాయం అని ట్రేడ్ వర్గాలు అన్నాయి.

ఇదిలా ఉండగా మొదటి రోజున పరవాలేదు అనిపించిన ఈ సినిమా కలెక్షన్లు.. రెండవ రోజు మరింత తగ్గుతూ వచ్చాయి. ట్రెండ్ చూస్తుంటే మళ్ళీ పైకి లేచెలా కనిపించటం లేదు. ఇలానే కొనసాగితే జరిగిన బిజినెస్ లో యాభై శాతం కూడా రాబట్టలేని పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడే ప్రమాదం ఉంది.అదే గనక నిజం అయితే ది వారియర్ చిత్రం భారీ డిజాస్టర్ లలో ఒకటిగా నిలుస్తుంది.

ప్రస్తుతం పరిశ్రమ గడ్డు కాలంలో నడుస్తున్న దశలో. మరో సినిమా లాస్ ల చిట్టా తెరిస్తే అది చాలా బాధాకరమైన విషయం అనే చెప్పాలి.

Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You movie is rapidly approaching its release date and yet, there seems to be very little buzz for the film. The trailer of the film dropped a few days ago and despite a good viewing number, it has failed to build that curiosity.

Naga Chaitanya plays the role of Abhiram in this coming-of-age drama. It is a movie about the journey of Abhiram who will grow from height to height. But, in the process, he will forget about everyone who has ever helped him grow. How he comes to this realization and how he expresses his “Thank You” will form the bulk of the story.

Although the plot seems refreshing at a time when commercial potboilers are the way to the box office, the question is whether the larger Telugu audience cares about the film. The trailer failed to create a buzz among the masses and the audio of the film has been underwhelming too.

Usually, for medium-budget movies, the songs are a key element. We have seen this with the underperformance of Ante Sundaraniki at the box office. But, the songs in Thank You have been forgettable for the most part.

However, Naga Chaitanya has been in good form recently with continuous successful ventures. Fans are worried about whether this streak will continue or not. Thank You also stars Raashi Khanna, Malavika Nair and Avika Gor in lead roles. Vikram is the director, and Thaman is the music director. It releases on 22nd July.

Ram Pothineni’s cop drama The Warrior was released in theatres on 14th July and has opened to ordinary numbers at the box office. The negative reviews and “average” word of mouth haven’t helped the film either.

The generic screenplay and the age-old good vs bad has failed to generate any interest in people. Going by the trend, The Warrior seems to be fighting a war against a disaster at the box office.

The film has done a massive business of 35 crores in theatrical rights but the first day collections of the film are a meager 6 crores in share. It has only recovered 17% of its money back. Day 2 is even worse as the film has seen a massive drop in collections on day 2.

The Warrior seems to be fighting a losing battle as the drop in collections indicates a lack of excitement from the audiences. The numbers are also showing a steep decline with every passing day. At this rate, even a 50% recovery seems highly unlikely for Ram and the team. The film is on track to become the biggest disaster in Ram’s career.

The only ray of hope is that the rains in AP and Telangana have settled down, meaning, audiences might opt for a theatre visit on the weekends. This first weekend is crucial for the film because it will decide the movie’s fate at the box office.

The Warrior is a bi-lingual movie directed by N Linguswamy. Aadi Pinishetty and Krithi Shetty also star in important roles. DSP is the music director of the film.

A couple of weeks ago, the sequel to the Rajinikanth blockbuster Chandramukhi was announced, with Raghava Lawrence playing the lead role this time. The movie was supposed to go on floors a long time ago but due to multiple lockdowns, the film kept getting postponed.

Finally, there has been a solid update regarding the Chandramukhi sequel. Raghava will play the lead role, replacing Rajini’s iconic character. The 1st schedule of the movie has been planned for this month. Raghava also visited Rajinikanth to obtain his blessings for the same.

The iconic Chandramukhi is still pretty fresh in everyone’s minds and Raghava has been tasked with the heavy load of creating his own version of Chandramukhi. But, it cannot be denied that Raghava is very successful in the horror genre. His Kanchana trilogy is perhaps the most successful franchise in the history of Indian cinema.

Kanchana 3, which posted poor reviews, amassed a whopping 130 crores at the box office. Raghava has cracked the code with horror and is sure to come with a blockbuster with Chandramukhi 2. There are huge expectations riding on the film and we have to wait to see what happens.

The Wild Teaser of Akhil Akkineni’s Agent Is Out Now

The wild teaser of the much-awaited Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent is finally out now. Ever since the announcement of the title and first look of the film, fans have been eagerly waiting for more updates regarding Agent. But due to multiple lockdowns, the shooting of the film kept getting postponed.

Just a week ago, the teaser announcement was made and it got the fans excited all over again. The teaser of Agent is now finally out and it promises exactly what it says, a Wild Ride. There are mostly positive things about the teaser but there are a few causes for concern.

Coming to the good aspects, Akhil Akkineni’s look is absolutely killer. His ripped physique and stylish tattoo suit his body perfectly. His hard work is very evident in those frames. Legendary Malayalam actor Mammooty’s screen presence is terrific. He owns every frame he is present in.

One cannot simply ignore the visuals of the film, the lighting and the colors in the film are breathtaking. The locations are marvelous and a feast to the naked eye. Cinematographer Rasool Ellore’s brilliant camera work is seen in every shot.

The only major cause for concern in the movie is perhaps Akhil’s characterization. As mentioned, he is referred to as the wild one. His mannerisms in the teaser are wild for sure, but they border on over-the-top acting. We hope that this does not come across as a problem during the course of the movie.

These are just mild hiccups and we are hoping that the successful combination of Vakkantham Vamsi and Surender Reddy creates magic once again. Sakshi Vaidya also seems to be playing a key role in the film. HipHop Tamizha is the music director of the film.
