Sankranthi is the best time for a movie release as movie lovers and audiences in general flock into the theatres for the festival season. Every film tries to get into the Sankranthi race and fights for that spot.
Earlier it was reported that Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeraya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy will be clashing for Sankranthi along with Prabhas’ Adipurush but now it looks like a new player has entered the playing field.
Akhil Akkineni’s Agent slowly entered the Sankranthi race without making too much noise. The Agent team shocked everyone by announcing the film for Sankranthi. The makers have an idea that everyone is forcing Adipurush makers to postpone the film.
If this happens, the makers of Agent think that this is the best time to release their film. They believe that Agent is a much crazier project than Waltait Veeraya and Veera Simha Reddy. If Adipurush does not release this Sankranthi, Agent will most likely be the only release. Looking at the makers’ confidence, it looks like Agent has come out really well.
We will have to wait and see which film stands tall on Sankranthi and which film falls flat. We hope that there is healthy competition between all the films.
