Anudeep KV, who introduced himself to the industry as a director with the flop film Pittagoda, came to the audience with the film ‘Jathiratnalu’ after almost five years. This comedy entertainer produced by Nag Ashwin under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies starring Naveen Polishetty and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles became a blockbuster.

It was released without any expectations and created a sensation at the box office. Now Anudeep joined with Tamil hero Siva Karthikeyan and came to the audience with his third film ‘Prince’ this Diwali.

JaathiRatnalu has worked mainly because of the lead cast, their timing was so good that it added an x-factor to the movie. Anudeep has created max fun in Prince movie also but it didn’t work in either Tamil or Telugu. Many of the audience felt that Siva Karthikeyan is not the right choice for the film, Telugu audiences and trade are in a feeling that if the lead hero was a Telugu hero, the movie would’ve been a box office winner.

Siva Karthikeyan believed in Anudeep and gave him a chance, but the magic doesn’t repeat itself every time. Even fans of Siva Karthikeyan are not happy with him doing this Movie. They are saying that SK could have done a movie with pure Telugu orientation, rather than mixing the Telugu content with Tamil artists and setup.

Before the movie Prince came, a movie named First Day First Show which was half directed by Anudeep released and bombed at the box office. The movie was very disappointing. But many thought that it was not completely directed by Anudeep and he will give a comeback with Prince, but Anudeep failed to meet the expectations.
