Vijay’s Varisu Area wise theatrical business details and Breakeven mark

Varisu is the most awaited movie of Kollywood in the pongal 2023 race. The business of this Thalapathy Vijay movie is closed, deals of theatrical business for a whopping amount of 140 crores have been done.

Thalapathy Vijay is enjoying the stardom of his life, his movie is being in massive demand in market across all territories. Surprisingly, the Telugu states are valued at unforeseen 20 crore ratio. Tamil Nadu theatrical rights sold to 70 crores. Karnataka and Kerala where Vijay enjoys significant stardom were sold to 7.5 crores and 6.5 crores respectively. Overseas rights were sold to the whooping price of 35 crores.

The movie’s overall theatrical rights amount to 141 crores. The movie has to collect as much to be a breakeven movie. Considering the hype for the movie, this a tough ask but is achievable as director Vamshi Paidipalli is a successful director who has rarely seen a flop and has a high success rate in the career.

Vijay has been increasing his market with every film for the past 15 years. Vijay’s movies are creating a sensation at the box office, his films are expected to do minimum 200 crores or 300 crores. It is remarkable that his market is slowly increasing in Telugu as well.

Vijay’s previous film, Beast, was a disappointment, but its predecessor, Master, received good collections in Telugu States.

Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead in this big-budget action flick, while SS Thaman will compose the music.

Varisu will have strong competition during its release from both Kollywood and Tollywood biggies. Ajith’s Thunivu, Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, are also in the Sankranthi race.

Vijay Deverakonda and Sekhar Kammula joining hands for a film

Vijay Deverakonda is now being quite selective about his films and is trying out unique combinations for the future. He tried a mainstream commercial film in form of Liger and the result was not at all favourable. He will be next seen in Shiva Nirvana’s Kushi co-starring Samantha.

The film has created a great buzz due to Vijay and Samantha’s pairing. Post this project, there are reports of Vijay collaborating with Sekhar Kammula. The creative director has a huge craze, especially Overseas and in the Nizam region. This combo will definitely intrigue all. Sekhar Kammula is currently busy with script works for the Dhanush film.

Kammula’s project with Dhanush will release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. SVC Cinemas will bankroll this project and there is high anticipation for this film. Meanwhile, he also confirmed a sequel to his 2010 political drama Leader. Rana Daggubati will be seen reprising his role from the original in Leader 2.

Coming to Vijay Deverakonda, the young hero has reportedly signed another project with Gowtam Tinnanuri. This is the same project that Ram Charan had earlier walked out of. Vijay will also be tying up with Sukumar soon and with so many interesting projects lined up, Vijay fans are surely excited.

Sensational Kantara broke all the records of KGF2 in Karnataka

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara has established absolute supremacy at the Kannada box office and has done impressive numbers nationwide as well. The film has won the audience’s hearts all over and has emerged as a bigger grosser than Yash’s pan-India blockbuster KGF.

Now Kantara is an all-time top-grosser in Sandalwood. Records like top share and top footfalls in Karnataka all lie with this action thriller. The film has crossed mighty KGF2 gross numbers and shares in Karnataka. The film opened with 2Cr gross in Karnataka and collected more than 175Cr gross now.

Directed by Rishab Shetty who acted in the lead role as well, this small film has done the unthinkable by getting extraordinary reviews and box-office records both at once. Very few films have achieved both.

The film features Rishab Shetty in the lead role as a Kambala champion, Kantara also features Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, and Sapthami Gowda in supporting roles.

2022 is a sad and toughest year for Superstar Mahesh Babu

2022 is probably the hardest year for Superstar Mahesh Babu. He is going through tough times, seeing three major losses in the same calendar year. His fans wholeheartedly wishing him strength and courage.

Mahesh Babu is known as a family man with deep emotional connection with his brother. As much as Superstar Krishna was connected to his brother Adi Seshagiri Rao, this generation superstar Mahesh is also very much close to his brother Ramesh Babu.

Due to health reasons, Ramesh Babu passed away in this year’s January. This left Mahesh and Ghattamaneni fans in a shock. Ramesh Babu died at a young age of 56 years.

It hasn’t taken even a year to see the second loss in the family, his mother Indira Devi garu. As we all know how much he is attached to his mother, fans, and the entire Telugu movie fraternity paid condolences.

Superstar Krishna is known to be a fit human being who takes care of his health meticulously. He was healthy and sound even in the last week according to his personal physician.

However, things have turned upside down quickly. The third untimely death in the family within a span of one year. People close to the family are now consoling Mahesh and the family for these terrible losses.

No matter how much the support and love others show, losing blood relations is very hard to take. Mahesh revers his father deeply and considers him as God and inspiration. Unfortunately, a great son lost a great father.

It’s the end of an era in Telugu cinema, All senior stars passed away

Telugu cinema has lost its last superstar of its golden era. All the five Superstars who ruled Tollywood and taken cinema to the hearts of masses aren’t with us now. NTR, ANR, Krishna, Shoban Babu and Krishnam Raju were the biggest superstars of their era.

Each one of them has their own individuality and personality. Their influence was beyond acting, and they were successful in politics, philanthropy etc.

NTR is the eldest of them all, but ANR is the senior most in the movie industry. They both enjoyed superstardom in the black and white era. Krishna was very much fond of NTR and met him and asked for a role.

NTR suggested him to complete graduation. Krishna later did a couple of movies in which his daring attitude in fights impressed Producer Doondi. He was offered Gudachari 116 which changed his career thereafter. There is no looking back for Krishna, who went on to become a superstar. Unfortunately, the movie industry has lost him in his 80th year.

The demise of Krishna filled Tollywood with sorrow. It has lost the last legend of Telugu film industry from 70s era. This year has seen other legend passed away from this lot. Rebel star Krishnam Raju who was known for his powerful roles, passed away recently.

Except Shoban Babu, all these superstars have established their heirs in film industry to continue their acting legacy. Mahesh Babu effectively carrying his father’s glory.

But it is a tough time for Tollywood to see all the legends leave the industry. They have always been there for industry whenever there is a conflict. They lobbied for the industry’s welfare with various governments.

It is sad to say, but Tollywood has now truly become a family without the head of the family.
