The Struggles Continue For Ram Charan-Shankar’s Film Shooting

The struggles seem to be endless for Ram Charan and Shankar as there is now a new roadblock. Earlier, the art director Ramakrishna was sacked by the production house for some unknown reason leading to the stoppage of the shoot. They later roped in National Award-winning Production designer Ravinder Reddy.

Ravinder Reddy who is known for films like Eega, Magadheera, and so on was roped into work on RC15. But now it is being reported that he has exited from the film due to differences with producer Dil Raju.

After Ravinder Reddy took over as production designer, he started scouting for locations to build a lavish university in Hyderabad for the film’s next schedule which was supposed to commence in July. He found some vacant land in Shamshabad and started building the university set there.

However, during the construction of sets as well, the creative differences and logistical differences kept escalating. Ravinder said that there were compatibility issues between his team and Dil Raju’s team. He also said that no one from Dil Raju’s team responded to any queries leading to a compromise in quality.

Owing to all of these reasons, Ravinder decided to quit his role as production designer. Sources also tell us that Dil Raju is okay with this decision. The university set is ready however and the shooting needs to be commenced. Shankar is currently busy with the shooting of Indian 2 and will get back to RC15 only after the next schedule of Indian 2.

Dhanush Strikes Back With A Big Blockbuster At The Box Office

Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam was released in theatres yesterday and has opened very well at the box office. The Tamil version of the film has opened to very promising numbers and the advance bookings for the weekend look phenomenal.

It is also a much-needed comeback for Dhanush as he has had multiple forgettable ventures lately. His last few releases like Jagame Thandhiram and Maaran were trashed by critics and audiences. His small extended cameo in Gray Man was impressive but the film as a whole did not impress either.

It is also noteworthy that Dhanush’s last 4 movies have all been direct OTT releases. He would have been craving for a theatrical release and what better than Thiruchitrambalam. Going by the trade reports, a huge blockbuster revenue is on the cards for Dhanush and the team. The performances of Dhanush and Nitya Menon have won everyone’s hearts. Producer’s guild new rules for the Movies about OTT release and other issues

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) and the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATFPG) on Thursday announced new rules for movie OTT releases along with other measures to control movie expenses. The Producers Guild had called for a strike earlier this month that brought a halt to shootings of several Telugu movies.

“We have decided to extend the window period of OTT release to eight weeks. Hereafter, all the filmmakers will adhere to this rule and there is absolutely no question of flouting the agreement. We are also pursuing the existing agreements and if need be, we will change the terms and conditions with immediate effect,” said Dil Raju, the president of the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild.

A decision to regulate ticket prices along with food and beverage prices at the multiplexes was also taken. The Guild will now try to negotiate with multiplexes on their food prices as well. We have requested the management of all the multiplexes to make all these things at affordable prices,” he added.

“The Movie Artist Association and TFCC have agreed to reduce the increasing production costs and have decided to continue shooting activities within the stipulated budget thus giving no room for wastage of funds or resources,” said Raju on their efforts to control the production costs.

‘My counting will start from 200Cr for Liger’, says Vijay Deverakonda

Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is all set to release on 25th August. The pre-release business has been quite good and the overseas bookings have also been quite encouraging. Traditionally, overseas has been a weak area for director Puri Jagannadh. But, with Vijay joining his side, the bookings are happenings at a brisk pace much to the movie unit’s excitement.

It has been more than two years since we saw Vijay Deverakonda on the big screen. His last movie World Famous Lover got released on February 14, 2020. The movie had a pretty bad run at the box office and fans are waiting for something bigger and much more.

Jinthaak From Dhamaka Brings Vintage Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja

Jinthaak from Ravi Teja’s next film Dhamaka was released today and it is safe to say that Ravi Teja was his vintage self in this peppy dance number. The lyrical video also featured Sree Leela and a bunch of dancers as well.

The reception to the song has been mostly positive with a few odd negative responses. Some are calling it an instant chartbuster whereas some are calling it a generic and boring song. However, the audio and video look pretty promising.

From the looks of it, Jhintaak has all the potential to easily attract the masses. Both Sree Leela and especially Ravi Teja look their best while performing those dance moves. The hook step is also very catchy and looks like an ode to the famous ‘Jinthaak’ scene from Ravi Teja’s Vikramarkudu.

Jinthaak has been written by lyricist Kasarla Shyam. Bheems Ceciroleo and Mangli have given the song a unique flavor with their voices. The song has been shot in exquisite locations in both India and Europe. Sekhar has choreographed the dance moves. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director also.

Dhamaka has been written and directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina who has directed superhit movies like Nenu Local and Hello Guru Prema Kosame. Abishek Agarawal Arts who are fresh off of the blockbuster success of Karthikeya 2 are the producers of this film.

Director Shankar is currently the busiest director in the Indian Film Industry right now. He is juggling between the two biggest and the most anticipated movies, one with Ram Charan, tentatively titled RC15, and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.

While the shooting of RC15 has mostly gone down smoothly, it is Indian 2 that has posed problems for Shankar. Ram Charan’s RC15 shooting has been advancing rapidly and about 50% of the film has been completed.

Whereas Indian 2 went into production back in 2019 and has been facing multiple delays. Everything was going smoothly in the beginning but just then, a freak accident occurred when a crane fell on 3 crew members, killing them in the process. Ever since then, the shooting has been halted for multiple reasons.

There were a lot of differences between Shankar and the producers of Lyca Productions. Lyca also were not sure if they could afford such a budget for Kamal Haasan because of his box office status. But after Vikram, there are no questions regarding Kamal’s box office stamina.

All is merry now as Indian 2 is back on track once again. Kamal even confirmed the same as he wished his director Shankar for his birthday recently. The shooting of Indian 2 will resume in Chennai on August 24th. Kamal will join the shooting of the film after a few days. The makers are looking at a Diwali 2023 release for the movie.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is the most ambitious project in Pawan Kalyan’s filmography. This is the first time that Pawan Kalyan has decided to opt for a more different kind of role. The first look of the film also indicates that this is going to be unlike any other Pawan Kalyan film.

Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 has been nothing short of rage at the box office. It has been wreaking havoc ever since its release on 13th August in theatres. It has not only performed well domestically in the two Telugu states but has outshined movies like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan in the North belts. In fact, the Day 4 collections have been greater than Day 3, Day 3 greater than Day 2, and so on.
