RRR crosses Baahubali2 in Japan, heading towards all-time top grosser

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is having a monumental run at the box-office in Japan. The film was released in Japan last month and after a decent opening, it picked up pace brilliantly and hit several milestones during the last few weeks.

RRR has now become the fastest Indian film to reach ¥300m mark in japan. It has collected ¥305.5m in 34 days. The top 3 grossers in Japan are as follows

Muthu – ¥400m
RRR – ¥305.5m
Baahubali2 – ¥300m

Rajinikanth’s Muthu created huge impact in the easternmost country back in 1995 and earned the superstar a massive following there.

After Muthu, Baahubali was also received quite well in Japan earning both Prabhas and Rana great adulation from the local fans. And now, RRR has also managed to win the hearts of the Japanese. The film was widely promoted in the country and Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and SS Rajamouli were present during the Japanese premieres and attended several events.

RRR collected over 1200 crores at the worldwide box office in its initial run during ints release in March and now the film is continuing where it stopped its record-breaking journey. It will be interesting to see how the film will perform in China, which is considered to be one of the lucrative markets for Indian films.

కాగా, ఈ ఏడాది.. మహేష్ బాబు కుటుంబానికి తీరని వేదనను కలిగించింది. సోదరుడు రమేశ్‌బాబు, తల్లి ఇందిర, తండ్రి కృష్ణల మరణాలు ఒకదాని వెంట ఒకటి జరగడంతో మహేశ్​ మానసికంగా ఒడుదొడుకులు ఎదుర్కొన్నారు. ఇక ఐదున్నర దశాబ్దాలపాటు చిత్రసీమను ఏలిన నటశేఖరుడు నవంబరు 15న తుదిశ్వాస విడిచారు. కార్డియాక్ అరెస్ట్‌తో అంతకముందు రోజే అర్ధరాత్రి గచ్చిబౌలిలోని కాంటినెంటల్ ఆస్పత్రిలో చేరారు.

వైద్యులు వెంటనే ఆయనకు సీపీఆర్​ చేసి కార్డియాక్‌ అరెస్ట్‌ నుంచి బయటకు తెచ్చారు. అయితే కీలకమైన అవయవాలు పనిచేయకపోవడంతో ఐసీయూకు తరలించి వెంటిలేటర్‌పై వైద్యం అందించారు. కృష్ణ క్షేమంగా తిరిగి రావాలని అభిమానులు శ్రేయోభిలాషులు ప్రార్థించారు. సూపర్​స్టార్‌ను బతికేందుకు వైద్యులు గంటల తరబడి శ్రమించినా ఫలితం లేకపోయింది.

అలా నవంబరు 15 తెల్లవారుఝామున 4.09 నిమిషాలకు ఆయన తుదిశ్వాస విడిచారు. దీంతో సినీ, రాజకీయ ప్రముఖులు ఆయన పార్థివదేహానికి నివాళులు అర్పించారు. అనంతరం నవంబరు 16న ప్రభుత్వం లాంఛనాలతో అంత్యక్రియలు నిర్వహించారు.

Animal welfare board issued a notice to Dil Raju: The producer of Vijay’s Varisu

Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu is in trouble as the Animal Welfare Board of India has issued a show cause notice to its producers Sri Venkateswara Creations for using five elephants in the film without seeking proper pre-shoot permission from the board. The board has termed the shooting ‘illegal’ and a ‘violation of Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001’.

“The Board has received a complaint regarding illegal shooting of animals by M/s Venkateswara Creations using Elephants-5 without the pre-shoot permission from the Animal Welfare Board of India in Tamil Film “Varisu”, which is the violation of Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001 (as amended in 2002). The Board has not received the Pre-shoot application from you for Tamil Film “Varisu” till date (sic),” the official statement of the board read.

The board has now directed the makers to submit a detailed explanation seeking reasons behind the violations of the law within seven days. “…failing which AWBI shall take any or all such action as it may deem to consider proper and necessary for the welfare of the animals (sic),” the statement read.

The Animal Welfare Board of India issued a show cause notice to the Varisu team.

An official response to this show cause notice from the makers of Varisu is awaited.

Meanwhile, Varisu is creating ripples in Tollywood and Kollywood. Hot debates and harsh comments have been a daily affair. Producers of both the industries are becoming increasingly aggressive on media regarding the allocation of the theaters for the film in the Telugu States.

The statements are getting out of hands and creating unnecessary rifts between the two giants. Producer Dil Raju has responded on this controversy today and said that he will talk on the whole issue in a press meet soon.

NTR30 is creating ripples on the internet. Apparently, the movie will have big action sequences on water and that is the hot topic of today. NTR Fans are excited, so as the movie lovers.

Koratala is one of the good action movie directors of tollywood. He has a separate style in dealing fights. He has chosen water backdrop for his movie with NTR. This untitled movie will be massier than all other koratala movies, as suggested by the director himself in one of his interviews during Acharya.

The team is doing pre-production works at rapid pace and there have been few updates regarding the same. The director has been seen discussing music with Anirudh and pre-production planning with cameraman and art director Sabu.

Latest update is that the movie having action sequences in water. For good locations which are apt for demand of the script, the team is busy in location hunt. It will be for the first time in TFI that a movie is being made on the water backdrop

NTR and water has this special connection after RRR. He was associated to the water element in that movie, and fans are seeing Ntr30 as the extension of that connection. It’s a strange coincidence, but water as a theme looks grand on screen.

Dil Raju has finally spoken amidst all the fuss about him allocating more theaters for Varisu and Tamil producers’ warnings to tollywood. He claims that he is not after money, but his main intention behind doing movies is for passion.

In Masooda success meet, he has addressed the media regarding his intentions. When Telugu producers council have advised him to prioritize Telugu movies instead of dub movies, his response has been awaited.

Dil Raju indirectly clarified that he is keen on supporting good movies, be it Masooda Or Love Today. His passion for movies is beyond the profits.

Hence, the other side of the coin is not being recognized by the media according to him, and he said that he would bother much about it as well. He also said to the media people that he will address the issue in a different press meet.

It is true that Dil Raju is a passionate producer, and his filmography shows that as well. He produced good movies like Bommarillu, Kotha Bangaru Lokam etc. against the trend. He also distributed movies like Happy Days, which were decent offers for the new filmmakers.

No one is complaining to that aspect of Dil Raju, however the issue with allocating more theaters is an entire different issue. We have to wait and see his response in this issue specifically.

Dil Raju has been getting flak for so many reasons since few days. Be it the Telugu Film Producers Council OTT release decisions. Regarding the OTT release, or the decision of stopping the film shootings for few days, all the time fingers have been pointed out against him.

In the past, Dil Raju was also accused of Forcing Nikhil’s Karthikeya-2 to postpone for thank you, for which he was the producer.
