Tamil Media And Critics Praises For Virupaksha

Sometimes, there is that one movie that releases with minimal expectations but becomes a thundering success upon release. One such example in recent times has to be Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha. The film promised a thrilling ride with the trailer and it delivered upon that promise.

The film received a unanimous positive response from the Telugu audiences. Virupaksha is currently still running strong in the Telugu markets and has crossed the 40 crore share mark already, which is the highest for Sai Dharam Tej.

Owing to this fantastic response to the film, the makers have now decided to release the film in other languages as well. We have previously seen this work with movies like Karthikeya 2 and Kantara, which, coincidentally are somewhat similar to Virupaksha in style and treatment.

Virupaksha is releasing in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam tomorrow in theatres. The movie team has also been busy promoting the film this past week. The movie was recently screened to the Tamil media and critics and has received a positive response. The reports are also good.

The film will also benefit from Samyuktha Menon’s presence in the film as she is familiar to Tamil audiences. It is to be seen whether Virupaksha can attain the same level of success in other languages as well.

Rajinikanth did not release any movies in 2022, and his last film Annaatthe was severely bashed for its outdated story and content. Therefore, there are heavy expectations for his next movie, Jailer. In addition to this, Nelson, who became one of the top directors with the success of Doctor, had disappointed everyone with Vijays Beast, which was a big failure. After the major debacle of Beast, it was even reported that Nelson will be removed from Rajinikanth’s film.

However, Rajini showed faith with Nelson, and the movie was shot throughout the country on several schedules. Jailer also brings together numerous superstars of the Indian Cinema. Besides Rajinikanth, the film has Malayalam star Mohanlal and Kannada star Shivarajkumar in major roles. Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff is also playing a role in the film, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Redin Kingsley, and Vinayakan also star in Jailer.

It was already been confirmed that Yatra 2 will be on the line for release before the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. Now, internal reports say that the project could begin production over the following months. The lead actor of the film has not been fixed yet. However, a few names like Tamil Hero Vishal and Prateek Gandhi, who rose to fame with his outstanding performance in Scam 1992 Web Series, were said to be in consideration for playing the role of YS Jagan.

Yatra was made on YS Raja Shekhar Reddy’s Padayatra Episode and the sequel was announced at that time itself. Now, the director Mahi V Raghav is said to have started working on the film’s production. Ugram releasing in theatres with lowest ticket prices

Allari Naresh’s Ugram is all set to release tomorrow and the unit is trying their best to come up with unique promotional ideas for the film. The action thriller has already created good curiosity amongst the audience due to Allari Naresh’s surprisingly violent characterization. Adding to this, several Tollywood young heroes like Nikhil, Adivi Sesh, Vishwak Sen, etc have joined in promoting the film leading to positive reactions from the audience.

The makers of Ugram have decided to slash the movie ticket prices in multiplexes and single screens across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This move is expected to benefit the film and if Ugram receives strong word of mouth then it would definitely be unstoppable due to the low rates.

Interestingly, Suhas’ Writer Padmabhushan also took the same route earlier this year. The film went on to become a box office success and was able to draw great crowds due to low ticket rates.

At a time when big movies are opting for government permissions for ticket rate hikes, the smaller films are doing the exact opposite and cashing in on the audience’s love. Ugram makers are hoping that the same result repeats here as well. Directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, the film also stars Mirna Menon in lead opposite Allari Naresh.
