Sai Dharam Tej has scored a massive blockbuster with his latest release, Virupaksha. The film which was released on the last weekend had received terrific openings, and continued to get an excellent long run at the box office thanks to strong word of mouth from the audience. The film had a low buzz before the release but the great content and superb talk from the audience made it a winner at the box office and Virupaksha soars to new heights at the box office by breaking yet another milestone.
Virupaksha has maintained super strong collections even on the weekdays and now it has crossed the 40 Crore Share mark worldwide, In the Telugu States the movie has collected more than 32 Crores Share. It is the 1st film to cross 40 Crores Share in Sai Dharam Tej’s career. New movies getting bashed after its release has also become an advantage for Virupaksha.
Virupaksha movie’s story is set in the mystic village Rudravanam where Surya comes with his mother to meet his family. He falls in love with Nandini. Love starts to blossom between them, but suddenly the village people get killed one by one in suspicious circumstances. Surya starts chasing the mystery behind the mysterious deaths of the village. How does he get to solve this mystery is what forms the rest of the story.
This movie has an ensemble cast of Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon, Ajay, Rajeev Kanakala, Sai Chand, Brahmaji and Sunil. It was released in theaters on April 21st,2023. Virupaksha is directed by Karthik Dandu and is produced by BVSN Prasad under the banners of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. B Ajaneesh Lokanath composed music for the film.
