Suriya & Karthi In Malayalam Remake Film

Suriya has more fan following in Telugu after Super Star Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan. Even though his earlier films were dubbed in Telugu, he has gained stardom with “Ghazni”. Later he established himself with movies like Surya s/o Krishnan, Veedokkade, Singam series, and 24. He also acted in RGV’s Raktha Charitra2. His younger brother Karthi was introduced in Telugu with Yuganiki Okkadu but seen the commercial success with “Awara”. Karthi made his Telugu debut Oopiri, a multi-starer featuring Akkineni Nagarjuna. Fans wanted to see both the brothers together on the silver screen but it has not happened till now.

Tamil producer Kathiresaan bagged the remake rights of recent Malayalam Blockbuster “Ayyappanum Koshiyum”. It is out and out action-thriller starring Prithviraj and Biju Menon. In Tamil remake, Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi names were heard initially but the latest reports say that Suriya and Karthi will be seen in the lead roles. According to the sources, Karthi to act as ex-Havildar, a role originally played by Prithviraj and Surya to be seen as a sub-inspector which was a Biju Menon’s character in “Ayyappanum Koshiyum”. In an interview, Karthi said that he is ready to share his screen with his brother Suriya if they come across the right script.

Sitara Entertainments owned the Telugu remake rights of “Ayyappanum Koshiyum”. Many stories rounded on social media saying Rana Daggupati and Nandamuri Balakrishna showed interest to act in the Telugu version, which is to be directed by B.Gopal. But there is no official word yet.

Senior actress Simran who made her debut in Kollywood & Tollywood in the year 1997 become star actress in a short span. She has acted in more than 20 Telugu films which include films with Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Mahesh Babu.

Last year she was seen opposite Super Star Rajinikanth in the film Petta. She is has a few more films lined up. There is a rumor that is surfing on social media that Simran has been approached for a role in Chandramukhi2. Chandramukhi2 is a much-awaited sequel for the blockbuster that released 15 years back. Simran trashed those rumors that she hasn’t been approached for any role in Chandramukhi2. Actually, Simran was initially roped in for Jyothika’s role in Chandramukhi but she couldn’t be part of that project.

Chandramukhi2 will be directed by P.Vasu who directed the first part. Choreography turned actor Raghavan Lawrence to star in this film along with Super Star Rajinikanth. Sun Pictures will be backing up this huge project.

Vakeel Saab Shooting Plans

Power Star Pawan Kalyan started the second innings of his film-career almost after a gap of 2 years. After delivering a disaster like Agnyathavasi, Pawan became busy in his political career. Then after the completion of general elections, he took some time and decided to resume his acting profession.

He announced his #PSPK26, titled as Vakeel Saab. This film is a courtroom drama based on a Bollywood movie “Pink”. Kalyan is playing Amitabh’s character. Venu Sriram, who previously worked for Oh My Friend and MCA, is directing this project. Vakeel Saab completed most of its shooting part quickly and it was scheduled to hit the screens on May 15th but shooting has been paused from March due to COVID-19 and 35 days of the shoot is still pending. There are chances to resume the shooting by the end of this month or early July. It takes at least one month for post-production work once shooting is done. If everything goes well makers are planning to release the film for Independence weekend.

The team released the title along with a simple and stylish first look on March 2nd and it got an overwhelming response from fans as well as the audience. Later a single “Maguva Maguva” sung by Sid Sriram was released on Women’s day, the lyrics of this has got a good response from listeners. This film is being produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor. S.S.Thaman is composing music, which will be the first album for Power Star. The other main cast is Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, and PrakashRaj. Naresh and Anasuya will be seen in supporting roles. P.S.Vinod is as a cinematographer and Prawin Pudi as an editor.

Meanwhile, Power Star has a very interesting lineup after VakeelSaab. He signed a pre-independence periodic drama #PSPK27 under the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi and bankrolled by A.M.Ratnam. This is the third combination of Pawan Kalyan and A.M.Ratnam after Khushi and Bangaram. He also signed a project under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. For this, he teams up with Harish Shankar (#PSPK28) who gave him a sensational trendsetter and a comeback blockbuster like Gabbar Singh.

There is no doubt in saying that Twitter is the most popular social media platforms when it comes to promoting films. Fans of all popular stars are present in strong numbers on this platform.

Twitter has turned into a battleground for fan wars. Right from the followers count, no. Of retweets and likes, trend counts etc. fans engage actively in these fights. Trolling other hero fans is also part of these wars. Recent incident of Heroine Meera Chopra and Jr. NTR fans is a classic example of that.

During a twitter chat, one of ntr fans asked Meera to say a word about ntr, to which Meera responded that she doesn’t know NTR which triggered ntr fans and an ocean of abuses were hurled against Meera. Other hero fans started their support to Meera and trolled ntr fans, thus beginning an unending troll war. From a neutral perspective, Meera Chopra is also to be blamed as she liked some tweets generalizing all the fans of NTR as abusive. And NTR fans should also take these type of trivial issues lightly. They need to remember that they do represent their idol in one way or the other.

Hope, common sense prevails and all fans stay away from abusing family members or actors for having an opinion different from theirs.

Lust Stories Telugu Release Plans

Lust Stories, an anthology film packed with four different chapters each directed by famous Bollywood directors. It was released on Netflix in 2018 and became viral within no time of its release. Gained attention with the trailer itself. It came as a sequel to “Bombay Talkies”.

Lust Stories was the trendsetter in the OTT platform. Later many web series were made with the adult content and being watched by the audience especially the youth. A sequel to Lust Stories titles as “Ghost Stories” and to be released on Netflix by the end of 2020. The creators are trying their best but success is yet a sour grape for them. The reason for this is there are very few audiences who watch regional web series. They are not still habituated to watch the content.

So, now a Telugu anthological series is being made based on “Lust Stories” and is the first-ever Netflix Original in Telugu. The theme was taken from Lust Stories and stories are going to be related to Telugu nativity and style. The news is that initially, it’s release was scheduled in July but post-production works are pending due to recent pandemic.

Coming to cast and crew, A capable lady director, Nandini Reddy who recently did magic with ‘Oh Baby’ is going to direct a segment starring Jagapathi Babu and Amala Paul in lead roles. Next, Sankalp Reddy who handled two complex scripts like Ghazi and Anthariksham to direct another segment and Eesha Rebba will be seen as a bold character in this. The other two segments are to be directed by ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame Tarun Bhascker and ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The details of the other cast are yet to be revealed.

If this series becomes a success, it will pave way for many other web series in regional languages. It may be premiered in Netflix by the month of August or early September. Let’s hope it does well once it goes on air.

Chinmayi Sripaada, a well-known dubbing artist cum singer. She dubbed her voice for all Tollywood Samantha’s films and also for the other actresses like Kajal Agarwal, Lavanya Tripati, Anu Emanuel, etc. As a #MeToo activist she raises her voice against harassment and sexual abuse of women.

Recently, in her twitter account, she tagged @chennai_police and complained about the threatening rape calls and messages she has been receiving. She also shared a screenshot that contained a message written to her in an abusive language. After seeing this her fans expressed their anguish by commenting that the culprit must be traced and punished.

She also stated that when she informed about these threatening calls, the authorities told her to take it easy. She decided to file a case against the person behind this and want to see him behind the bars. She sought the help of Instagram to find the details of that user.

This first look along with tilte Pushpa was released in the month of April. The team has planned to start their shoot from March first week in Kerala. But due to Corona outbreak, the Kerala government has rejected the permission. Now post lockdown Sukumar and team are planning to start their shoot on Kerala if the government accepts. The team has already searched for alternatives if the Kerala government denies permission. One of the alternatives is to shoot in Maredumilli which East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The team is making all the arrangements and looking for complete Tollywood artists so that they can travel without any restrictions.

This film is being directed by Creative director Sukumar. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen opposite to Allu Arjun and this project is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers in association with MuttamShetty Media.

Thalapathy Vijay, after delivering hat-trick commercial monsters Mersal, Sarkar, and Bigil is coming up with the new project “Master”. The interesting element is that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is playing a negative role in Master.

Master is an action-thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of a seat-edge thriller “Kaithi”. Vijay became close to Telugu audience with movies like Snehithudu, Thuppaki, Adirindi, etc on the other hand Vijay Sethupathii recently made his straight Telugu debut Sye Raa and also to be seen in Uppena.

Master will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. It was originally scheduled to release on the 9th of April but got postponed. Now it completed all its post-production works and ready to hit the screens. The first look, teaser, and jukebox got a huge response from the Tamil audience. The team released Telugu first look on Republic Day of this year but has not released even a single track. The Kutty story became an instant chartbuster and Vathi coming’s bgm turned viral.

Master features Malavika Mohanan as a female lead and, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Ramya Subramanian in other supporting roles. Young and talented musician Anirudh Ravichander composed tunes. Telugu version is to be released under East Coast Productions Banner.
