It is very well known to everyone that Sai Dharam Tej’s latest film Virupaksha is a massive blockbuster in Telugu. Seeing the fantastic response in Telugu, the makers have dubbed the film into other languages and released it pan India wide in the Tamil and Hindi languages recently. However, the film failed to create any impact at the pan India level as it was unable to get even minimum numbers at the box office and failed to cross the big milestone of 100 Crores.
Everyone expected that the film will easily join the 100 Crores Club after pan-Indian release. However, the film failed miserably in the other languages like Tamil, Hindi. The film was unable to generate any kind of revenue. Overall, the Virupaksha’s Worldwide Gross is around 90 Crores and missed the 100 Crores milestone by a minor distance.
Virupaksha movie’s story is set in the mystic village Rudravanam where Surya comes with his mother to meet his family. He falls in love with Nandini. Love starts to blossom between them, but suddenly the village people get killed one by one in suspicious circumstances. Surya starts chasing the mystery behind the mysterious deaths of the village. How does he get to solve this mystery is what forms the rest of the story.
Along with Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles, this movie has an ensemble cast of Ajay, Rajeev Kanakala, Sai Chand, Brahmaji, Shyamala, Soniya Singh, and Sunil. It was released in theaters on April 21st, 2023. Virupaksha is directed by Karthik Dandu and is produced by BVSN Prasad under the banners of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. B Ajaneesh Lokanath composed music for the film.
