Hanu-Man other language and Tantra digital premieres tonight

Tollywood Blockbuster, Hanu-man is gearing up for its OTT streaming. The film became a Pan India sensation grossing more than 300 crores worldwide. Released during the Sankranthi season, the film achieved a unanimous response from all sections of people. The Telugu OTT Version of the film had already come out. Many other language people are waiting eagerly for its OTT streaming. Now, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada language people can watch it on Disney+Hotstar from today.

The Hindi Version of Hanu-Man is streaming on Jio Cinema whereas the Telugu version streams on Zee5. Along with it, the recent horror thriller Tantra starring Ananya Nagalla also makes its way for the digital premiere. The film was released 3 weeks ago but didn’t work at the box office. It will stream on Aha Video from tonight.

Hanu-Man had already received criticism from other language audiences surprisingly. Now they might rake up the issue again after watching it in their own languages. But the team expects that it would do well in those languages also.

Bollywood Actor Ranveer Singh is rumored to be a part of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film. Rajinikanth and Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently collaborated for a film. The first look of the film was also released. The look and Rajinikanth’s style also created a bang for the audiences and fans. The film is not yet titled.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is making sure to rope in popular actors across the industries. In this process, he approached Bollywood King Khan Shah Rukh Khan for the role in this film. But Shah Rukh seemed not interested and denied doing the role. Now he wants to rope in Ranveer Singh for this role. It is also believed that Ranveer accepted it. Ranveer Singh is also rumored to work under the direction of a Telugu Director for his upcoming film.

Earlier, Ranveer Singh and Maverick Director Shankar united for the Hindi remake of Anniyan/Aparichitudu. But things didn’t materialize and the film was shelved. Now Ranveer Singh is on board for a film with another South Indian Director. The news is the team is heading ahead for the teaser shoot which is also announced for release on 22nd April. Lokesh Kanagaraj wants to bounce back after his earlier film Leo’s decent performance. Rajinikanth too must give a comeback after his Lal Salaam’s utter flop performance.

Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi release date details

After the release of ‘Thunivu’ there were a lot of expectations over Ajith’s next project. The Kollywood star immediately signed his next ‘Vidaamuyarchi’. But, due to various reasons, the project ran into various delays including the exit of Vignesh Shivan who was later replaced by Magizh Thirumeni. The unit started the film with a long outdoor shoot in Azerbaijan.

So far, 60% of the Vidaamuyarchi shoot has been completed and the shooting will resume on April 20th in Azerbaijan as soon as the elections complete. The makers are planning to release the film in October and there are massive expectations on this project. Anirudh will be scoring the music for this action entertainer and the team is waiting for him to compose the tunes so that the songs can be shot.

Ajith and Trisha play the main roles in ‘Vidaamuyarchi, where Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Das, Arav, and Regina Cassandra play key roles. The team has been staying in Azerbaijan for an extended period. Vidaamuyarchi continues the ‘V’ sentiment of Ajith; out of his last ten films, six of them have been titled with the letter ‘V.’

For various reasons, Family Star is carrying a very low buzz. The film is made on a high budget of almost 90 Cr and the low buzz is a matter of concern for everyone involved. The digital rights are bought by Amazon Prime Video. Dil Raju expected to achieve half recovery from non-theatricals and the rest needs to be achieved from theatricals for breakeven.

What’s also worrying the Family Star team is the weak advance bookings. Till Wednesday, Hyderabad city’s advance bookings are just 71 Lakhs. In comparison, Liger minted 3 crores and Kushi did 2 crores by this time. This shows audiences are a bit reluctant towards Family Star. In the U.S. advance booking is just $85K while Liger and Kushi had done $250K by this time.

Dil Raju needs Geetha Govindam’s range performance from Family Star as he has invested heavily in this project. While the Parasuram- Vijay Deverakonda combination and the presence of Mrunal Thakur is a big plus, Family Star needs to achieve an extremely positive talk as the buzz is very low. The makers trimmed 13 minutes to the final version even after censor and are hoping the trimmed version would appeal to the audience.

The positive sign for the film is the combination and release date and even if the movie opens with weak numbers, it can have a long run and big days at the box office if the word of mouth is positive. The weeks after the release have holidays like Ugadi, Ramzan, Sri Ramanavami, and May Day. Apart from that, it’s the summer season, and no notable releases in summer after this so the makers are hoping to attract the audience in big numbers.

Recently released Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys pulled off a major record. The film made with a minimal budget managed to become the Industry hit of Mollywood officially. No film with such a less star cast and budget has done this in recent times. Now, Manjummel Boys is releasing in Telugu on April 6th.

Manjummel Boys film’s plot happens in the background of Guna Caves. These caves got its name after becoming popular with Kamal Hassan’s film, Guna. This naturally made Tamil audiences own the film. Lal Salaam starring Rajinikanth became a box office dud. The film had Rajini doing an extended cameo appearance and was directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The film also had A. R. Rahman composed the music. It also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in pivotal roles. Lal Salaam’s OTT streaming date and digital partner are as follows:

Lal Salaam became a box-office embarrassment for Rajinikanth. This was also his cameo appearance after Kuselan/Kathanayakudu. The film performed very minimal and fans too were disappointed with the film. Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth attributed the failure of the film to many reasons like important scenes being chopped and script changes after Rajinikanth’s inclusion into the film. But this didn’t go well with the fans.

The film also took many days to stream on OTT surprisingly. But at last, it will be streaming on Sun NXT from 15th April. On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently working for Vettaiyan and another untitled film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The first look poster of this untitled film was also released recently. Rajinikanth needs to bounce back with these films to come out of Lal Salaam’s effect. The film had grossed only 36 crores worldwide which is a shocking and disastrous number for Rajinikanth.

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur starrer Family Star is slated for release tomorrow. The film’s censor formalities have also been completed recently. The film was given a U/A certificate and it had a run time of 163 minutes in it. But the team released a poster fixing it as 150 minutes. Many doubt if Family Star’s run time has been trimmed only for the Telugu Version.

The censor report also consisted of many cuss words in the film shockingly. The film which was made as a family entertainer with middle-class appeal having those words is truly unbelievable. However, all were muted by the board. The run time was also locked at 163 minutes i.e., 2 hours and 43 minutes. But now, an official poster shows the film having only 150 minutes i.e., 2 hours and 30 minutes. The team might have trimmed this 13-minute portion to make the film even crispier.

The film needs to attain positive reviews to meet the expectations. It is already having disastrous openings everywhere. No one expected the film to perform this poorly in advance bookings. All the earlier films of Vijay Deverakonda had very good openings. The combo of Parasuram and Vijay too seems not working to generate the necessary buzz. On the other hand, Tillu Square is already on the roll and nearing the 100 crore gross mark worldwide. Let’s see how Family Star fares at the box office.

Ayalaan was to be released during the Sankranthi season here as well. But Hanuman and Guntur Kaaram went neck to neck during the season and Ayalaan had no scope for release. The Tamil Version will be streaming on Sun NXT.
