Aavesham set for Fahadh Faasil’s first 100 crore grosser

Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil received positive review and talk after its release. The film had the highest opening for the lead actor in his career as well. Now, Aavesham is all set to become Fahadh Faasil’s first 100-crore-grosser film. The film is running super strong in all the territories.

Aavesham opened with a 3.5 crore gross in the home state of Kerala and it had collected 3 crore+ gross after 8 days of its release. And on the 8th day, it collected 3.25 crore gross. The 8-day gross stands at 28 crore in the home state of Kerala and the worldwide gross stands at 65 crore.

Aavesham is all set to cross the 100 crore mark in the next 4-5 days and this would make Fahadh Faasil the 100 crore hero afterwards. This will be a great achievement for Fahadh Faasil who is enjoying popularity across South Industries. Now, with this, it would further increase his popularity. Tillu Square OTT streaming date is officially out

Tillu Square starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran rocked the box office. The film achieved unanimous positive talk after its release and sky was the limit for its box office performance afterwards. Tillu Square went on to gross 100 crores worldwide creating a record for mid-range films. Now, Tillu Square OTT streaming date is officially out.

Tillu Square will stream on Netflix on 26th April. It will be available in all languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi as well. The film recently grossed more than 125 crores worldwide and may touch the 130 crores mark as well. So the film will see its last weekend box office performance this week. It will be streaming from the next week.

Tillu Square suffered a slight competition with Family Star starring Vijay Deverakonda but saw no impact with Family Star becoming a box office bomb. The film’s first lyrical song, Whistle Podu released recently and it received very normal reviews. Fans were completely disappointed with the tune and composition of the song. They started trolling the music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and targeted him with negative comments.

This didn’t go well with Yuvan Shankar Raja and his fans as well. He deactivated his Instagram account following this attack from fans. He didn’t respond to anything about the incident but just kept silent. Fans expected songs like Vijay’s previous hits, Naa Ready and Arabic Kuthu. But the released song, Whistle Podu didn’t match this level which made them angry.

Pushpa 2: The Rule First 1000 crore Business film in India

Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna is making noise with its pre-release business. The film’s teaser released already showcased Allu Arjun in an Ardha Nareeshwara Avatar bashing the goons. The teaser in a way disappointed the fans but not the buyers it seems. Pushpa 2: The Rule is now officially the first 1000 crore pre-business-made film in India.

No film has done a 1000 crore pre-business in India including Baahubali 2, KGF 2, and RRR. Pushpa 2 is making this happen with the film having a 200 crore business for the Hidni language itself. South India’s business may amount to around 270 crores. Overseas will be more than 100 crore. The total theatrical business of the film would stand at more than 550 crores. Netflix is said to be in the race for the streaming rights of Pushpa 2 for a sensational price of around 275 crores.

With the Audio and satellite business around 450 crores, the total business of film is around 1000 crores. The film has achieved a phenomenal mark even before its release. The film may create many sensations after its release. Makers may not leave the chance of continuing the franchise further if the film succeeds.

Teja Sejja Announces Next Project: Promises Bigger Than Hanuman

After the blockbuster success of HanuMan, Teja Sajja’s next project has been announced and titled ‘Mirai’. Based on a myth surrounding Ashoka the Great, the film also stars Ritika Nayak and is directed by Karthik Gattamneni and will tell the story of good vs evil on a massive scale with a historical backdrop.

Speaking about Mirai, Teja Sajja had earlier revealed, “Mirai has another Telugu actor playing the antagonist, and I play the lead, so it’s not a multi-starrer. My next film too is backed by a grand idea and is an ambitious project; it’s an action-adventure film.’

Mirai’s budget is significantly higher than HanuMan. The movie is beiing released in multiple languages. Manchu Manoj, Dulquer Salmaan are also said to be part of this film. TG Vishwa Prasad is producing Mirai under People Media Factory, with Vivek Kuchibhotla as the co-producer. Mirai will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and Chinese on April 18, 2025 in 2D and 3D.

Guntur Kaaram delivers good ratings on Television premiere

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram was released in theaters for Sankranti and opened with below-par word of mouth and reviews. Despite these obstacles, the film managed to collect more than 180Cr gross worldwide and collected close to 115Cr share, including GST. Excluding GST also, the film crossed the Rs 100 crore share mark making the film Mahesh Babu’s 5th consecutive 100 crore share film.

The film was a great testament of Mahesh’s superstardom and his box office. Pull. The film managed to do well on its digital premiere on Netflix. It was recently premiered on Television and was well received by the audience.

After the rise of OTT the satellite market has crashed completely. Recently many blockbusters or hit films also failed to deliver a minimum 6-7 ratings. Guntur Kaaram which opened with unfavourable wom and reviews did well at the Box office and trended on top positions on Netflix not only in Telugu but Tamil and Hindi also.

And now, it has performed well on its Television premiere as well. The World Television Premiere of Guntur Kaaram on Gemini TV registered 9.23 TRP in urban and 8.31 TRP in U+R markets, marking a successful premiere.

Poor advances for Happy days Re-release

Happy Days re-release has not exactly managed to create the ripples the team expected. The advance booking has been quite dull and it looks like this re-release has got no takers. Happy Days is considered one of the best youthful entertainers in Tollywood and is all set to release tomorrow in theatres.

Normally this film’s re-release should have worked well with the youth but shockingly there are very poor advance bookings for the film in Hyderabad itself. In other territories, it is expected to fare much worse. Re-releasing films during the election period when people are not showing much interest in movies is impacting the film badly.

Happy Days featured Varun Sandesh, Tamannah, Nikhil, Rahul Haridas, and Sonia in key roles. Sekhar Kammula’s film follows the life of eight friends who enroll in CBIT and how their life unfolds over the next four years. The film’s music was composed by Mickey J Meyer and it was one of the big reasons for the film’s success.
