No other re-released film came close to this record afterwards. Vijay’s Ghilli is all set to challenge Mahesh Babu’s Businessman.
Ghilli starring Vijay is an official remake of the Telugu Blockbuster, Okkadu starring Mahesh Babu. Ghilli was Vijay’s biggest grosser then and is still loved by his fans. It is now re-releasing on 20th Friday and the bookings have already been on a sensational note. These bookings indicate that the film’s re-release will create a new benchmark in re-release openings.
So, it’s interesting to see a remake of Mahesh Babu challenging his direct film. On the work front, Vijay is currently working for The Greatest Of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu scheduled to release on September 5th this year.
