Both the films had a solid 4 day weekend. Both films competed neck to neck in several territories for each day. Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil collected 43 crores gross worldwide and Varshangalkku Shesham starring Pranav Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly grossed 38 crores worldwide. Both films’ advance bookings too look super strong and they have all the chances of grossing 100 crores worldwide. This is an amazing achievement for both the films.
Malayalam film Industry has been riding too high already with Premalu, The Goat Life and Manjummel Boys grossing more than 100 crores worldwide. Manjummel Boys has even went ahead and grossed more than 200 crores worldwide becoming the Industry hit there. Now with Aavesham and Varshangalkku Shesham performing well, it looks like Mollywood is going to have two more 100 crore grossers to its list this year. This is a phenomenal achievement for the Industry adding back to back 100 crore grossers in a month’s gap.
