Swasika, the actress who rose to fame with Lubber Pandhu, also starred in a recent Telugu film, Nithin’s Thammudu. The Malayalam actress says no to playing Ram Charan’s mother in Peddi.
In a recent interview, the Malayalam actress said that she was offered Ram Charan’s mother’s role in Peddi, but she rejected it. She said that she might take up such roles in the future if time permits, but not now.
“I keep landing mother roles one after another. I was totally taken aback when they asked me to play Ram Charan’s mom. This was for Peddi, a huge Telugu movie with a massive budget. I said no. I don’t know what would happen if I attempted it, but I’m not interested in playing Ram Charan’s mother at this time. So, I said no. If such a time comes in the future, I may consider it,” said Swasika.
Even netizens are also shocked at how Buchi Babu approached Swasika for a mother character. They say that if he had asked her for a sister character or some other, it would have been fine, and they firmly opined that she might not suit the mother character.
Interestingly, Swasika appears in a character that has both young and old age timelines in Lubber Pandhu.
