Tejaswi Madivada turns into an Assistant Director

Tejaswi Madivada, who has been away from the big screen for a while has kept herself busy with other endeavours. The actress has now turned into an assistant director for a web series. The web series is being directed by Anish Kuruvilla and Tejaswi is working with the actor-director as an assistant and getting a deeper feel of filmmaking.

“I have been thinking of taking up greater responsibility and wanted to learn new things in my field. I am glad that I got the opportunity to work as an AD for this project,” beams Tejaswi. “I have been quietly observing, learning, and enjoying so many things as an AD. I enjoy both — being an actress and an AD,” she said

“AD’s get a holistic and comprehensive understanding of filmmaking since they have to work on costumes, production, direction, etc. It’s not an easy job,” says the actress. “Being an AD is a lot more tiring than being an actress, explained Tejaswi Madivada. She also explained that this experience will make her empathize more with the ADs on the sets.

Dulquer’s impressive look as Lieutenant Ram

Dulquer Salman will be returning to Telugu screens after 3 years. The Malayalam star made an impressive debut in Nag Ashwin’s Mahanati in 2018 and since then has been taking time for his next Telugu project.

The actor will be next seen in Telugu as Lieutenant Ram in the untitled Hanu Raghavapudi film. The film’s shoot has already begun and the team recently finished a schedule in Kashmir.

Dulquer can be seen as an army man in the Glimpse of Lieutenant Ram released by the makers marking the star’s birthday today. The video carries soothing background music typical of all Hanu Raghavapudi movies. Dulquer can be seen in picturesque locations.

The movie is bankrolled by Swapna Cinema with Vishal Chandrashekar composing the music. Further details of the cast will be revealed by the makers soon.

Telangana theatres to reopen with 100% occupancy

Telangana theatres are all set to reopen on July 30th. All of these theatres will also be functioning with 100% occupancy now.

Representatives of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) met cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav a week ago. The members had submitted a memorandum to consider the opening of cinemas. With confirmation from the Minister, the theater owners have approved the opening of Telangana theatres starting from July 30.

Thimmarusu and Ishq will be the first major releases after the reopening of the theatres. The cinema theatres have been closed for more than 3 months now. Vakeel Saab was the last major release before the theatres had to shut down owing to Covid second wave.

On the other hand, theatres in AP have been mandated a 50 % occupancy just like last year. A number of movies that were supposed to release in April will now be scurrying to set a release date now. Movies such as Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, etc. are soon expected to announce official release dates.

Police take action on Yashika Aannand

Bigg Boss Tamil contestant and Tamil and Telugu film actress Yashika Aannand has been booked under various IPC sections after she crashed her car in Chennai on Saturday night. The accident left one of her friends dead on spot and destroyed the SUV on impact.

The police have now taken action against the NOTA actress and have confiscated her driving license

Yashika’s SUV car lost control, rammed into a railing, and fell into a roadside pit, killing her friend. The victim was identified as Vallichatti Bhavani, 28, who was employed in the UK as a software engineer. The native of Hyderabad, Vallichatti had come to Chennai just a few days ago to spend some time with her friends. She was supposed to take a flight back to the UK on Sunday night.

The police have confirmed that Yashika was not under influence of alcohol and that overspeeding caused the vehicle to lose control.

The young actress made her debut in Kajal Agarwal and Jeeva starrer Tamil film Kavalai Vendam. She later went on to star in a number of Tamil films and was also seen in Vijay Devarakonda’s NOTA. She was a Bigg Boss Tamil contestant in 2018.

Ram Charan and Shankar film picks pace

Over the last couple of months, there has been some confusion over Ram Charan and Shankar film. This prestigious project which was announced much to movie lovers’ delight was supposed to go on floors earlier this month. However, multiple last-minute schedules, Shankar’s legal troubles, etc. sidetracked the project for a while.

Ram Charan had met Shankar earlier this month along with Dil Raju and the trio decided to ramp up the shooting and finish it at the earliest without any further delays.

Now the project is shaping up well and will go on floors pretty soon. Kiara Advani has been paired opposite Ram Charan and the duo will start shooting from September 8th. A set is being erected in Hyderabad where a song shoot will commence the production of #RC15.

Ram Charan and Shankar are teaming up for the first time for a magnum opus, and expectations are way too high considering the fact that it is being produced by Dil Raju under his home banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Multiple plotlines and theories have been floated about this Ram Charan and Shankar film. Some say that the Mega Power Star will be playing the role of a young and dynamic IAS officer fighting corruption. There is another set that believes that RC15 is going to be a re-adaptation of Shankar’s Mudhavalan (Oke Okkaddu).

Power Star as Bheemla Nayak excites with a new look

The shooting of Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake resumed today in Hyderabad with all Covid-19 protocols in place. For the first since the movie went on sets earlier this year, a major update was given to the movie lovers. Pawan Kalyan’s character which was originally played by Biju Menon has been named Bheemla Nayak.

The film’s production house Sithara Entertainments shared a photo of Pawan Kalyan from the sets and wrote, “#BheemlaNayak is back on duty. @SitharaEnts #ProductionNo12 shoot resumes today with all the safety precautions!”

Tentatively titled PSPKRanaMovie, the movie also stars Rana, Nithya Menen and Aishwarya Rajesh in key roles. Sagar Chandra will be directing the remake while SS Thaman will be scoring the music.

Naga Chaitanya surprises with his OTT choice

It was reported earlier that Naga Chaitanya would be making his OTT debut soon. Now we have got an interesting revelation that the debut will be helmed by Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You director Vikram Kumar.

Naga Chaitanya, who has so far dabbled in love stories and family dramas will be debuting with a horror web series. This project will be backed by Sharath Marrar and will be an eight-episode web series. Every episode is expected to be shot in a gripping manner so that it invokes curiosity and thrill.

The team is now looking for a young crew who can handle this subject with the sensitivity and required lens of an OTT release. The young actor will join the project once he finishes his commitments with Amir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha and Thank You. Vikram K Kumar is directing Thank You which also stars Rashi Khanna in the lead role opposite ‘Chay’.

Naga Chaitanya now joins wife Samantha and father Nagarjuna as the key actors from Tollywood to dabble in the OTT web series. Samantha had made an impressive mark with her negative role in the Family Man 2 web series and Nagarjuna also recently confirmed the that he will be doing a project exclusively for the digital media

Thimmarusu trailer to be released by Jr NTR

Jr NTR will release the trailer of the Satyadev starter crime thriller, Thimmarusu. The movie is official remake of the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni. Thimmarusu will release on July 30, becoming the first major Telugu film to hit screens after theaters were shut down in the wake of the second wave of Covid-19.

“Thanks a ton, Tarak anna for your kind gesture. Means a lot for our film, Thimmarusu,” tweeted Satya Dev. The trailer of the film will hit the internet at 4:50 pm on Monday. 

The film stars Priyanka Jawalkar as lead actress and also features Bramhaji, Harsha Chemudu in key roles. Sricharan Pakala, known for composing music for Kshanam, PSV Garuda Vega, and Krishna and His Leela, has composed the music for this film

Directed by Sharan Koppisetty, the film has been bankrolled by East Coast Productions in association with S Originals.
