Siddhu’s DJ Tillu Postponed Due To COVID-19

0

Siddhu Jonalagadda’s DJ Tillu release has been postponed due to COVID-19. COVID-19 is on the rise again in India, causing theatres and films to close operations. Many actors have tested positive for the virus recently, and shoots of films are also under halt.

Siddhu’s DJ Tillu is the new victim of COVID-19. The makers of the film took to Twitter to announce the postponement of the film due to the rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases in India. Some members from the team of DJ Tillu have also tested positive for the virus causing concern. In view of these situations, the makers are holding the release of the movie.

The postponement of DJ Tillu’s release is a shame as it promised an exciting adventure in theatres. The first glimpses and teaser of the movie were promising. Siddhu has also proved himself as a bankable actor in his previous two films. This means Bangarraju will have lesser competition at the box office come 14th January.

DJ Tillu will also have a hard time finding a release date later with many biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam also postponed due to COVID-19.

The film also stars Neha Shetty, Prince, Brahmaji, and Pragathy among others. Siddhu and Vimal Krishna have written the screenplay for the film. Vimal Krishna is the director of the movie. Sricharan Pakala is the music director of the movie. Thaman S is also involved in the project.

Telugu Film Producers Council condemns YCP MLA’s statements

0

The row of comments between AP Government and Tollywood is escalating day by day with both sides making strong statements against each other. Right after YCP MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s controversial statement, the Telugu Film Producers Council issued a statement.

In a strongly-worded statement, TFPC stated that:

“It is unfortunate that the honorable MLA has such an impression of the film industry. The success rate in the film industry is 2-5%. Film producers spend crores of rupees to make films and more often than not, they suffer huge losses. There are a few producers who have lost everything and are taking a pension amount of Rs 3000 per month from the Producers’ council. That is how dire the situation can be. It is not right to speak ill of the film industry and its people,” said the statement.

The YCP MLA had earlier said that the Tollywood industry doesn’t care about AP at all and the heroes sitting in Hyderabad, charge crores as remuneration. Reddy also said that the government’s action against Tollywood was for the sake of people.

Mahesh Babu Nephew Ashok Galla’s HERO Trailer Talk

0

The trailer of Ashok Galla’s debut film HERO is out now. In a trailer spanning nearly 2 minutes, it revolves around the life of our Hero, played by Ashok Galla. He wants to enter the film industry, and for that, he needs a director. What will he do in his search to find a director? Will he succeed? This forms the rest of the story.

We’ve previously seen a film about the struggles of entering the film industry in Ravi Teja’s Neninthe. This is an extremely interesting concept that has not been explored enough. Ravi Teja was a director, here Ashok Galla is an actor, or rather, a HERO.

From the trailer, it is quite clear that this movie has a lot of commercial elements. There is fighting, kissing, warnings, and a pinch of acting. The chemistry between Ashok and heroine Niddhi Agerwal looks promising. The duo also shares liplock with each other.

The movie needs to be credited for its production values. The film is shot on a large scale with no compromises on the budget. There is a grand sequence in a desert, exquisite sets for dance numbers, and much more. The film is also being produced by Ashok Galla’s mother itself, Padmavati Galla.

There are a few concerns regarding the template of the film. It seems to be following the age-old commercial template that has expired now. Ashok Galla looks stiff in his dialogue delivery, but this is excusable as it is his debut.

The film also stars a stellar ensemble cast of Jagapathi Babu, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, and Naresh among others. Sriram Aditya, who has previously directed Devadas is the director of the film. Ghibran is the music director.

Actor Siddharth is an extremely opinionated and vocal individual. The ‘Mahasamudram’ actor doesn’t shy away from expressing his criticism for the government and has been one of its sharpest critics. While criticism is fine in a democracy, things took an ugly turn recently. The actor, to express his disagreement with India’s champion Badminton player Saina Nehwal tweeted a rather crass wordplay.

It all started when Saina Nehwal tweeted regarding the recent Punjab incident that involved PM’s security fiasco. She stated that the nation can’t claim to be safe if the PM himself isn’t safe.

Siddharth in retaliation to this tweet by Saina posted an objectionable Tweet that has caught the attention and criticism of the National Commission of Women, His co-star Khusboo Sundar, singer Chinmayee and a number of Twitter users who have all lashed out at Siddharth. Many have even requested Twitter authorities to disable his account while others have requested for a stricter action from authorities.

Meanwhile, the actor has issued a clarification about his intention of Tweet. He said that it is a common phrase and there was no insult intended.

Radhe Shyam is one of the most anticipated movies of Tollywood which was supposed to release for Sankranthi 2022. But due to the current situation, the makers have postponed the release to a further date which is yet to be finalized. The promotional content like songs and trailer have received a very good response in all languages. The team has released a few working stills and these are doing rounds on social media. Here are Prabhas and Pooja Hegde working stills from Radhe Shyam.

AP Government imposes restrictions for theaters

0

In what will be a major blow to the upcoming Sankranti releases, the AP Government has decided to impose occupancy restrictions across the state. the theatres will now be functioning at only 50% occupancy all over. Adding to this, there will be a night curfew in effect from 11 PM to 5 AM.

Earlier last year in April, the AP government had imposed similar restrictions in the state. The decision has been taken in wake of rising covid cases across the country due to the second wave of covid. Already a number of other states have imposed occupancy cuts in theatres while others have even started a partial lockdown.

Looking at this development, the decision to postpone by RRR and Radhe Shyam seems to be a wise move. The Sankranti season was supposed to be a blockbuster one with RRR, Radhe Shyam, and Bheemla Nayak releasing.

However, everything changed after Bheemla Nayak had to be pushed to the February release, and RRR and Radhe Shyam also deferred their release due to rising Covid cases.

Now, Nagarjuna’s ‘Bangarraju’, Dil Raju’s ‘Rowdy Boy’s, Ashok Galla’s debut film ‘Hero’ and ‘Super Machi’ are lined up for the festive season.

After Baahubali, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa elevates Telugu cinema

0

Icon Star Allu Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is making waves at the pan-India level. The film might have suffered losses due to the AP ticket pricing issues and limited occupancies, but that didn’t stop its popularity from soaring. Pushpa made its digital premiere on Friday and has been receiving wide accolades from all quarters.

The rising Corona cases stopped many from going to theatres. However, a timely OTT release ensured that the film gets a wider reach and recognition. Celebrities from different industries, sportspersons, and netizens have been raving about the film over the weekend.

Back in 2015, it was Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali that made heads turn. The subsequent Bhaahubali 2 took Telugu cinema to global levels and brought massive pan-India recognition to Prabhas. Now with Pushpa’s other versions performing so well, and netizens raving about the film after the digital premiere, it’s Allu Arjun’s Pushpa’s turn.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, the revenue that it has generated in other languages is massive. There is no doubt that Allu Arjun is the sole driving factor behind Pushpa’s success. Allu Arjun showcased a one-man show during the promotions up north and is the sole reason for the movie doing so well in other languages.

Anupama Liplock With Ashish Becomes Talk Of The Town

0

Anupama Parameswaran’s liplock with Ashish has become the new talk of the town. This is the first time a debutant hero has been involved in an intimate scene with a top actress. This is due to the professional bond that Anupama shares with Ashish’s uncle Dil Raju, who is launching Ashish at a grand level.

In the trailer that was released a couple of days ago, Anupama was seen in a liplock with debutant hero Ashish, which sparked the attention of many people.

While some are praising Anupama for this bold move, some are trolling her for the liplock. Nevertheless, it has gotten a lot of attention from media and news outlets. As they say, any form of publicity is good publicity. All this will only help the film to bring in more audiences to the theatres.

The film will release on 14th January along with Bangarraju. The film is releasing on a grand level with multiple screens and theatres. This is due to Dil Raju and Sirish’s (Ashish’s dad) reputation as top distributors.

Rowdy Boys also stars Srikanth Iyengar, Karthik Rathnam and, Sahidev Vikram among others. Sree Harsha Konuganti is the director of the movie. DSP is the music director of the movie. R. Madhie has shot the movie.
