Ticket prices have been a major issue for Tollywood for the last year and a half. First, it was the G.O released by AP Government last year where ticket prices were as low as Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 15 in certain B, C, and D centers. To recover their investments, filmmakers started seeking special permission and hikes from Telangana as well as AP Governments.
Many films like RRR, Radhe Shyam, and even the recently released Ante Sundaraniki had these hikes. While it worked in favour of RRR, it has mainly backfired for all the other films. This is why Gopichand’s Pakka Commercial makers have decided to keep the ticket rates low.
Netizens have responded very positively to these ticket prices. The same trend is expected in upcoming medium and small-budget films. The AP multiplexes will have a ticket price of Rs 150/- while the single screen will have tickets at Rs 100/-. In Telangana, multiplex tickets will cost Rs 160/- while single-screen will be at Rs 100/-.
Apart from Gopichand, the film also stars Rashi Khanna, Rao Ramesh, Satyaraj, and Anasuya in important roles. Geetha Arts and UV Creations have jointly bankrolled this action-comedy. Jakes Bejoy is the music director of the film. Pakka Commerical will release on July 1st.
