Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak censor formalities are now complete. The screening was done earlier today in Hyderabad. The film has been given a U/A rating while the runtime is 2 Hour 25 minutes. The censor report has been quite positive and the censor team has also appreciated the makers for the output.

The most interesting thing about the censor report is the runtime of the film. The original ‘Ayyappannum Koshiyum‘ was 2 hours 57 minutes long. Bheemla Nayak makers have cut down almost half an hour of the length which is expected to add to the gripping screenplay.

Pawan and Trivikram have taken utmost care to ensure the movie is loaded with a number of whistle-worthy moments. The run time has also been shortened considerably from the original to keep the screenplay gripping and tight.

Bheemla Nayak censor completion has now paved the way for the grand pre-release event scheduled on February 21st. The event is reported to be held in Yousufguda Police Grounds.

Rana Daggubati is co-starring along with Pawan Kalyan in Bheemla Nayak. The film also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, and Murali Sharma in key roles. Sagar Chandra has directed the film while Trivikram has handled the screenplay.

Boyapati Srinu’s pan India film announced officially

Boyapati Srinu’s superhit Akhanda has given him great acclaim with along with a great demand from the north market. The movie stood as the highest grosser of both Boyapati and Balakrishna’s careers. While the director is rejoicing this success, he has already moved on to his next project and is planning something grand.

As reported a few days earlier, the star director has made his next project official. He will be working with Energetic Star Ram in an action entertainer and this film will be a pan-India project.

Boyapati Srinu’s combination with Ram has evoked great interest as the two have quite contrasting styles. This move however suits Ram’s strategy at the moment. The young hero is working hard towards a mass action hero image. This is why his next project is with Lingusamy based on a faction backdrop.

After the Lingusamy project, Ram has this pan-India endeavour. The director has also hiked his fees for this project. Boyapati Srinu is demanding a remuneration of 12 crores for the movie whereas Ram is taking only 6-7 crores. Srinivasa Chitturi will bankroll this project under Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner.

‘Son of India’ starring Mohan Babu released earlier today and has got off to a disastrous start. The film is running to empty shows and in many areas, shows are even getting canceled due to lack of audience. ‘Son of India’ has failed to evoke any kind of interest in the trade circles and distributors showed no leaning towards the project. Hence Manchu Vishnu had no choice but to go for their own release.

Meanwhile, Mohan Babu has made some sensational comments regarding all the jokes floating on social media. ‘I enjoy trolls and jokes if they are filled with a dash of humour,’ said the senior actor. He however added that there has been a continuous targetted trolling against his family and it has crossed limits of late.

The senior actor also made an interesting allegation. ‘There is a troll army behind this trolling and two star heroes have hired 100s of people to troll us,’ he claimed.

Bheemla Nayak targets to create a new record

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak is releasing with the terrific buzz in trade circles and audience. The film will release on the 25th of this month and the fans are eager to catch Power Star in a cop role after a long time. The film is on its way towards a massive opening and is eying many milestones.

One of these is the US premiere record. Excluding the Bahubali series, no other Tollywood film(Non-Tuesday releases) has crossed $1Million premiers. The US advance bookings are quite encouraging and the Bheemla Nayak has already crossed the $100K mark. With such a massive positive buzz and massive anticipation among the audience, the makers are also confident of a great show at the box office.

 The pre-release event of the film will be held in Hyderabad on February 21st. The trailer will also be launched during this event.

No ticket hike for Bheemla Nayak in Andhra Pradesh

After the conclusion of the AP Cinema Ticket Pricing Committee meeting, it now appears that Bheemla Nayak will not have any ticket hikes. The committee in a statement said that all the factors were considered and the team will submit its recommendations to the government in a week.

The 13-member committee headed by the Chief Secretary of the State Home Department met recently to discuss ticket prices, snack prices in theaters, and ticket prices for big-budget films.

“Proposals have been received from the Telugu Film Chamber on the issue of ticket prices. We hope that the government will make a decision to satisfy the people and the film industry,” said a committee member.. The committee has also discussed the 5th show and concessions to Rs 100 crore budget movies. All the points will be presented to the CM Jaganmohan Reddy and soon a resolution will be brought.

This means that there will be no hikes or concessions for the movies releasing next week. Bheemla Nayak and Ghani are scheduled to hit the screens and it appears that committee recommendations will be brought forth only after Pawan Kalyan starrer’s release.

This week is going to be a slow one at the theatres with no other film barring Son of India hitting the big screens. There is an absolute lack of interest among the audience to catch this Mohan Babu starrer and hence the weekend will be mostly limited to the new releases on OTT. Here are the OTT releases of the week.

  • Bangarraju on Zee 5– A sequel to 2016 hit Soggade Chinni Nayana, Bangarraju is laced with extra star power and more commercial elements. With so many advantages going its way, the film was a decent fare at the box office. The movie has some elements that might interest the family audience and has a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Naga Chaitanya has joined the cast along with Krithi Shetty while Nagarjun and Ramya Krishna continue their roles from the original. Watch Bangarraju Here.
  • Hridayam (Malayalam) on Disney +Hotstar– Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer romantic drama is another of the exciting new releaseson OTT today. Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, the film was a massive box-office hit on its release on 21st January this year. Perfromance of Pranav Mohanlal was well appreciated. Allu Arjun’s brother is clueless on his debut film

Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Bobby is making his debut as a producer for Varun Tej starrer Ghani. Siddhu Mudda along with Allu Bobby are backing this project under Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company banner. The movie has already seen a number of delays and the makers announced recently that this sports drama will hit the screens on February 25th.

There was speculation in the market last week that Bheemla Nayak might be postponed to April 1st. Hence buyers had no problem in going for Ghani on February 25th. However, with Bheemla Nayak confirming its arrival on 25th Feb, things have now changed. Ghani was made on a huge budget and the makers hired Hollywood stuntmen and set up special sets. Now, Bobby is not seeing any way of recovering this amount as there is very little interest for Ghani in trade circles.

Adding to this, starting from Bheemla Nayak, Tollywood will see a biggie releasing every two weeks. This has made the situation rather tricky for Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Bobby. The makers were earlier in talks with many OTT players for a direct release. However, the quoted price was too high by the Ghani team and the deals didn’t go through. Allu Bobby might have to go his own Aha OTT platform but even that would be a loss-filled deal as the movie budget is too high and Aha. We need to wait and see how this problem is encountered.

MAA votes for Manchu family higher than Day 1 worldwide advance bookings footfalls

Mohan Babu’s Son of India is on its way to a disastrous state even before its release. With no buyers for it, the Manchu family decided to go for own release. Manchu Family is always in the news with their speeches and behaviour. From Maa elections, Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu have made a lot of controversial statements.

Manchu Vishnu, who is the current MAA President and producer of Son of India received around 400+ votes and won the elections. Son of India is set to release tomorrow and the total advance bookings footfalls are shockingly not even 100 worldwide.

The audience have also shown nil interest in this film. The advance bookings of this film are disastrous, to say the least with many shows selling tickets in single digits.

This was quite expected as the film didn’t evoke any interest nor did the family’s over-the-top statements help. The Manchu family needs to understand even now that gimmicks on social media and mere ornamental posts like MAA President are not going to help them to bring the audience to the theatres.
