Vijay’s Beast business on full swing, Huge craze in Trade circles

Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer Beast directed by Nelson is having it’s business on full swing. The film’s team today announced the release date as 13 April a day before the release of already announced KGF 2. Despite this, the film is witnessing huge craze in the trade circles. This will be the next release of Vijay after his blockbuster Master.

The film’s overseas right were sold for 32 crores. The rights for AP/TS were sold for 10 cr+. Despite competition from Pan India biggies RRR and KGF 2 the film’s team is very confident about Beast. Earlier film of Master too collected around 10 cr in AP/TS. Recently released song of the film, Arabic Kuthu was a sensational hit on YouTube with views more than 200 Million in a month. Another song of the film, Jolly O Gymkhana touched 20 Million Views in 2 days.

The film made on a big scale has director, Selva Raghavan in the antagonist role. The film was earlier planned to release on April 14. But to avoid clash with KGF 2 the team decided to release the film a day prior to KGF 2’s release. An official poster was released by the Sun Pictures regarding the same. It has to be seen how the film fare with RRR and KGF 2 giving a tough competition to the film.

Ajith and Karthikeya starrer Valimai released on Feb 24 this year. The film received mixed talk but earth shattering openings on the opening day at the box-office. The film even crossed Rs.30 crs share worldwide on it’s opening day. This film is a second collaboration of Ajith with the director H.Vinoth produced by Boney Kapoor. Valimai slowed down after the first weekend but picked up during the second weekend and finally now Valimai is a success in Tamil Nadu. This is also the hat-trick hit for Ajith.

Valimai witnessing drops during weekdays picked up in the second weekend with repeat views from families. Star power of Ajith pulled this off. This even made the film see a 150 cr gross worldwide after the third weekend which looked good. The film grossed more than 100 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. The film even performed good in the fourth weekend.

Valimai’s theatrical business is valued at 187 crores gross. The film with excellent performance in weekends has collected around 115 crores gross in Tamil Nadu till now and is a successful venture. After Vivegam becoming a flop, Ajith scored hat-trick hits in Tamil Nadu with Viswasam, Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Valimai has locked it’s streaming date on 25 March this week on Zee5.

With 20 cr budget to collecting around 200 cr The Kashmir Files saw a sensational run at the box-office. The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborthy directed by Vivek Agnihotri has a Kashmir Backdrop. The film is doing wonders at the box-office now. It is also unstoppable and increasing it’s momentum each passing day. It has already emerged as the highest grossing film in 2022.

Kashmir Files released a small budget had no star cast and crew. The film mainly depended on the exodus of Kashmir Pandits from Kashmir. This is now minting gold at the box-office. People who are unaware of the film are watching this film throughout the country. The film picked up it’s pace from the 3rd day at the box-office and is refusing to stop till today. The film even did huge on the weekdays which is shocking. So much so that the film has collected on Par with Bahubali 2 and Dangal on these weekdays. The film collected around 71 cr nett in the second weekend taking the total collections to 167 crores. Competition from the Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchan Pandey is also minimal. Now the film is inching towards 200 crores.

With the film strong even after the second weekend, it may easily touch the 300 cr mark after the third weekend. RRR which is about to release this friday might also face a stiff competition from The Kashmir Files. This is a great achievement with a 20 crore budget.

Director Harish Shankar is currently busy working on his prestigious film with Pawan Kalyan. Both have earlier teamed up for Gabbar Singh that created wonders at box office. Now they are coming together again with Bhavadeeyudu Bagath Singh.

Harish Shankar is known for commercial entertainers with lot of fans stuff. Some of his movies had lot of repeat value stuff like Mirapakay and Gabbar Singh. Now the director is eyeing to direct Superstar. 

Harish Shankar in many instances revealed that he wanted to do a film with Superstar Mahesh Babu. Previously he expressed his wish in front of superstar himself. He expressed then that Mahesh is director’s hero and he always wanted to work with him.

In one of the latest interviews, Harish Shankar revealed that he is preparing a script for Mahesh Babu now. For the last four years, Harish Shankar is in plans to work with Mahesh Babu and he is finally writing a script. Insider info is that the energetic director met the superstar three times in the sets of Sarkaru Vaari Paata. For RRR teaser release in theatres, the theatres owner association requested commissioner for special security in a city. Imagine what if the movie releases. Telangana CM KCR fired on The Kashmir Files today to everyone’s surprise. The film which has Kashmir Pandits exodus backdrop has been running very successfully throughout the country. CM KCR who organized a press meet today criticized both the film and the central government for aggressively promoting the film. He took a dig at the Central Government for supporting such films in the press meet.

He referred to ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for using such films for political gains ahead of elections. He even took a dig at them by saying that the country needs Development files not Kashmir Files. He questioned where did the BJP hid when Kashmir Pandits got massacred. He also referred to the political stands taken by BJP. He was not happy with some of the state governments offering leaves to the government employees to watch The Kashmir Files. He said there is a need for the change in the country and requested people to keep the BJP away from the country.
