No Market for Mohan Babu’s Son Of India In OTT Also

Mohan Babu’s Son Of India completed shooting a long while ago but due to various unknown reasons, the film did not release in theatres or on OTT. The movie boasts of music from legendary music director Illaiyaraja and Diamond Ratna Babu has directed the film.

Due to the long delay in release, the movie has not received any offers from distributors for a theatrical release. Due to this, the makers approached all leading OTT platforms but no one was interested in an old film. With no other choice, the makers are doing their own release theatrically in all territories.

Mohan Babu’s last role was a short yet important role in Suriya’s Soorari Pootru. He showed people that he still had that acting fire in him. Son Of India follows the story of a politician played by Mohan Babu. It is based on true events from the two Telugu states. It is being marketed as a patriotic action entertainer.

The film also stars Pragya Jaiswal, Srikanth, Tanikella Bharani and Ali in prominent roles. Manchu Vishnu has produced the film under 24 Frames Factory. Interestingly, Mohan Babu himself has written the screenplay of the film. It is all set to release in theatres on February 18th,2022.

Pawan Kalyan has recently been working on multiple projects at the same time. He has also been signing projects left, right, and center. It is clear now that the main focus of Pawan Kalyan is just to earn as much money as possible in the quickest time.

Due to this reason, Pawan Kalyan is mostly doing low-budget movies with small directors and charging high remunerations. He is also choosing only remake projects to save time on the script work. Pawan Kalyan has made it crystal clear that he wants to dedicate his entire time to politics.

Even Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak are low-budget remake movies but the remuneration is very high. Those two movies have worked out due to Dil Raju and Trivikram’s changes respectively but now Pawan Kalyan has signed another remake project.

He has signed the remake project of Samuthirakani’s Tamil superhit Vinodhaya Sitham. Fans of Pawan Kalyan are concerned about this commercial decision as it might affect his stardom. The main concern however is that while Tollywood heroes are aiming for the Pan-India market, Pawan Kalyan is not even thinking about it.

Fans always want their hero to be on top but Pawan Kalyan seems to be going in a commercial direction. Pawan Kalyan has a hardcore fanbase in AP and Telangana but his decisions lately are drifting him away.

The promo of the first single from Tirumala Kishore’s latest film Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu was released today. The beat of this title song sounds shockingly similar to ‘What Amma What Is This Amma’. DSP is the music director of this film as well.

This has surprised netizens as to how DSP managed to convince the director with the same tune of his own movie. However, this is just the promo of the song, and hopefully, the full song sounds different.

Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu is a romantic comedy that stars Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The film also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Urvashi, and Kushboo among others. Sudhakar Cherkuri has produced the project.

Alia Bhatt confirms Koratala movie opposite Jr NTR

Alia Bhatt is one of the most wanted actresses in India. The actress will be making her Tollywood debut with SS Rajamouli’s mega budget film RRR. Along with that, she has another massive project Gangubai Kathiawadi with another big director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the queue.

Speaking at a promotional event for the Bollywood film Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia made a huge confirmation of her second Tollywood project. The actress stated that she will indeed be working with Jr NTR’s next project with Koratala Siva.

“Yes, Koratala Siva came and narrated the story. I didn’t think twice. As soon as he completed the narration, I have agreed to come on board. I am looking forward to working with NTR again after RRR,” said Alia Bhatt.

The actress refused to reveal much about her role and concluded by complimenting Jr NTR and Koratala Siva.

“I wouldn’t want to comment on it now, but I am really excited to do more films in Telugu. I had a lovely time working with Tarak (Jr NTR in RRR). Even the director that I’m currently talking to (Koratala Siva) is someone who has done some great work till now.”

According to the latest poster released by the makers, the film has blocked not one but a total of 6 dates for the film release. The makers revealed that they have blocked 22nd April, 29th April, 6th May, 27th May, 3rd June and 10th June for the movie release. This surely is a funny take on recent Tollywood biggies like RRR and Bheemla Nayak announcing 2 release dates as a precaution.

The movie was wrapped up recently and Vivek Athreya revealed that this film will be a quite a different genre of comedy. “I can’t reveal anything much about the film but it’s going to be a fun watch for sure. But when I say rom-com, I’d also like to clarify that it’ll be nothing like my debut film Mental Madhilo or the madcap Brochevarevarura,” he said during a recent media interaction.

Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this project. Nadhiya, Harsha Vardhan, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Suhas will feature in key roles in this project.

His latest action-thriller Khiladi has done an extraordinary pre-release business of over 20+ crores in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. Just when things were going smoothly for the film, the makers have been hit with a roadblock.

The film planned for a February 11th release under the assumption that the AP Government will lift the night curfew and allow for 100% occupancy restrictions. But the AP government has given a huge shock to the makers and distributors by announcing that the restrictions will continue till 14th February.

Now the distributors are requesting negotiations and are not ready to pay the originally planned amount. However, the producers of the film do not want to reduce the business of the film. They have informed the distributors that they will not take any negotiations and are ready to postpone the film. They have told the distributors that they are ready to postpone to a later date.

Khiladi is an action thriller that also stars Dimple Hayathi, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Arjun Sarja, and Unni Mukundan among others. Ramesh Varma is the director of the film. Koneru Sathyanarayana Rao and Ramesh Varma have co-produced the project. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.

There have been solid reports suggesting that a script is getting ready for a mega multistarrer movie with Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the Tamil super hit movie Vinodhaya Sitham, starring Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah in lead roles.

Samuthirakani who directed the Tamil movie will also direct the remake in Telugu. Both Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej liked the narration of the movie. They have accepted the script due to their faith in a talented artist like Samuthikarani. The director has worked in a lot of Telugu films and has ample knowledge about the Telugu culture.

Mahaan Trailer: Vikram’s Show All The Way

The trailer of the much-awaited Chiyaan Vikram starrer Mahaan is finally out now and it is Mahaan in every way possible. From the looks of the trailer, Vikram plays Gandhi Mahaan, a righteous follower of Mahatma Gandhi who transforms into a liquor baron in Tamil Nadu.

The trailer gives us just enough information to suggest the reason for his transformation, MONEY, and FAME. However, as Mahaan scales through the ranks and becomes a king of the liquor business, he has to face his own blood. Chiyaan Vikram’s son, Dhruv Vikram plays the opposing force to Gandhi Mahaan.

The trailer ends with this line “Our names are bestowed upon us by God’s will, someday you will have to become Gandhi Mahaan.”

Apart from an intriguing storyline, the production values of the film are top-notch. The visuals by cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna are eye-pleasing. The terrific background score by Santosh Narayan aptly complements the trailer. Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram are also immensely watchable as the father-son duo in the trailer.

Director Karthik Subbaraj’s previous action-crime drama Jagame Thandhiram was rather disappointing. He will be looking to make a comeback with Mahaan. The film also stars Bobby Simha, Simran, and Sanath in important roles. SS Lalit Kumar is the producer of the film.
