Ravi Teja’s Ramarao On Duty Locks The Release Date

After the commercial as well as the critical failure of Ravi Teja’s latest film Khiladi, the actor will be seen on the big screens with his next film Ramarao On Duty. The teaser of the film dropped a few weeks ago and promised an action-packed entertainer.

Ravi Teja seems to be playing the role of a powerful man once again. This has worked out for him in Krack, where he played a police officer. Ravi Teja will be playing the role of a deputy collector in Ramarao On Duty, who fights for people’s rights, literally.

The makers recently released a release date poster of the film. Ramarao On Duty is all set to release on June 17th in theatres. Fans of Ravi Teja will be hoping that the trend of flop films after a hit stops with Ramarao On Duty. The OTT rights of the film have also been bought for a fancy price.

The film also stars Divyansha Kaushik, Rajisha Vijayan, Venu Thottempudi, and Naresh in important roles. Sarath Mandava is the writer as well as director of the film. Sudhakar Cherkuri has bankrolled the project under SLV Cinemas along with Ravi Teja’s own banner, RT Teamworks.

RRR crosses the epic Baahubali 2 premiers in USA

RRR mania is taking over the world and movie lovers are eagerly waiting for this much-awaited action spectacle. Fans are dying to see how Rajamouli has utilized Tarak and Charan together on screen. Billed as the biggest multistarrer of recent times, the movie’s advance bookings and premiers are in a much bigger range than Baahubali 2.

RRR’s US premieres collections have crossed that of Baahubali 2 and are on course for massive US collections. While the Prabhas starrer had collected a whopping $2.5 million from its US premieres, RRR has crossed this number with pre-sales itself and is heading towards $3 Million premiers.

The film is packed with grand action sequences, emotions and features two of the biggest Tollywood stars in it. With a runtime in excess of 3 hours it is the lengthiest film of Rajamouli’s career. While the runtime is slightly long, the makers have complete faith in Rajamouli and his vision.

RRR will release on 25th March and is expected to shatter many records on the opening days. The theatrical business is around Rs 500 crores and the Rajamouli is expecting to hit the Rs 1000 crore mark.

The trio of Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan are busy with the promotions and back-to-back interviews and events. The movie has done a record pre-release business and trade circles are expecting a massive opening across the territories.

Kannada audience not happy with the RRR release plan in Bangalore

RRR being a pan-India project is scheduled to release across multiple regions in multiple languages. Apart from Telugu, the film will release in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi versions as well. This would mean a wider reach for the movie and greater collections.

While this is good news for the makers, there is a section of the audience who are not happy with release strategy. The Kannada audience is reportedly unhappy with the RRR release plan in Bangalore.

The local distributors have allocated a majority of screens for the Telugu version. On the other hand the Kannada version has been allocated fewer centers.

Something similar happened in the case of Baahubali 2 back in 2017. During the release of the Prabhas starrer, the Kannada version didn’t get even 5 % screens. The film was released in a majority of Bangalore theatres in Telugu much to the dismay of the local audience.

The local audience feels that in Karnataka, the Kannada version should get the priority. Hence they are unhappy with the fact that their own distributors are ignoring the local language.

Shankar and Ram Charan film tentatively titled RC 15’s shoot is going at a brisk pace. The film is produced by Dil Raju. This will be Shankar’s straight Telugu film. Thaman happens to be the music director. Earlier Dil Raju planned to do a film with Shankar but backed out. The main villain in this film has not been finalized. The team wanted to cast S J Surya but nothing has been fixed. SJ Surya played antagonist opposite Mahesh Babu in Spyder. He also played many such antagonist roles in recent times.

Now another tamil star, Aravind Swamy is also under consideration it seems. Aravind Swamy played antagonist opposite Ram Charan in Dhruva, the remake of Tamil film, Thani Oruvan. Shankar is still looking at the options. Telugu actor Srikanth is also playing a main role in this film. Kiara Advani is playing the female lead.

Recently shoot of the film happened at Kakinada and Samarlakota. Majority of the shoot is also yet to happen. Music director Thaman has already starting composing tunes for the film and shoot for the songs is also about to begin. The film may also have release in Tamil and other Indian languages. It will also be a Pan-Indian release for Ram Charan after RRR.

Bheemla Nayak Prepones the OTT release because of RRR

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak is arriving a day before than sacheduled. Yes Bheemla Nayak is releasing on OTT platforms tomorrow. Earlier the film is planned to release on 25th March sinulateneously in Aha and Disney+ Hotstar. Now the OTt platforms decided to bring Bheemla Nayak 24 hrs early. So Bheemla Nayak will stream on Aha and Disney+ Hotstar from 24th March early hours. 

Disney+ Hotstar tweeted this surprise stating that Bheemla Nayak is coming a bit early. Then Aha followed and tweeted that the festival is arriving early. So now officially Bheemla Nayak will have its premier on OTT platforms on 24th March.

It is heard that the OTT release date is changed keeping in mind about the RRR premiers. Now a days OTT releases have also became prestigious. So OTT platforms are planning a proper date and time for the movie releases. On Friday 25th March, RRR is having premiers from early hours. Keeping on mind, Aha and Hotstar wanted Bheemla Nayak to have stronger impact.

Another zero share film for Raj Tarun

Raj Tarun is going through a series of failures at the box office. The young actor even went the OTT way with his last few films Orey Bujjiga, Powerplay, and Anubhavinchu Raja. However, all these three films failed to make any impact.

Now he is back with his latest release Stand Up Rahul. The film was released last week and failed to attract any audience to the theatres. It ended up a huge disaster and has failed to recover the rents from opening day itself.

Varsha Bollamma co-stars opposite Raj Tarun who plays a stand-up comedian in this romantic comedy. Debutant Santo has directed this film while Nandkumar Abbineni and Bharath Maguluri have bankrolled this ‘coming of the age’ story.

Like many other films released in the recent past, Stand Up Rahul also saw multiple delays. The lackluster promotions and cold response to the trailer and teaser further led to disastrous openings and subsequent run during the first weekend. Stand Up Rahul also stars Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and Indraja in key roles.

RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan directed by S.S. Rajamouli is about to release this week on 25 March. The film was originally planne to have premieres and midnight shows. But it is now clear that the team has backed out from the plan. The film will have no premieres and 1 AM shows. All the shows in India are about to start only after 4 AM in the morning.

The film made on large scale budget was planned to be released with premieres and midnight shows to draw the attention of the audiences. But all of a sudden these premieres were cancelled. No one knows the actual reason behind this. The team might have thought to lower the expectation.

On the other hand RRR’s advance bookings for the tickets is going on full swing in both AP/TS. But the film is not witnessing good amount of advance bookings in other territories. The Kashmir Files and Bachchan Pandey both receiving a good talk is a disadvantage for RRR in Hindi Market. Kashmir Files is on it’s way to touch 200 crores mark soon and it may even touch the 300 cr mark easily. This might affect RRR in Hindi.

SS Rajamouli is a thrilled man these days and he has every reason to be so. The much-awaited RRR is will finally release in a couple of days and the response has been phenomenal. Movie lovers worldwide have been waiting eagerly for this big-budget multistarrer and the advance bookings are proof of that.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is certainly on its course to a blockbuster opening and the ace director is ecstatic about it. He has been attending back-to-back events and promotional interviews and during one such interview, he expressed his excitement about the overseas pre-bookings of the film.

“RRR registered record-breaking pre-sales in the USA in December and again now. The same is the case in the UK too and the film has crossed the lifetime collections of many films with just pre-sales,” said Rajamouli.

He thanked the Indians overseas for being so supportive and patient despite so many delays. “I would like to thank the Indian audience overseas for their overwhelming love. I also extend my heartful thanks to the overseas distributors for the way they have owned RRR and have been promoting it.”

RRR is all set to release on 25th March and is expected to shatter many records on the opening days. The theatrical business is around Rs 500 crores and the Rajamouli is expecting to hit the Rs 1000 crore mark.

Ever since the release of KGF Chapter 1 in 2018, there has been a lot of excitement for Part 2 of the film. But the film has been subject to multiple delays as well as hurdles due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The makers had released the teaser to KGF a year ago and the response was overwhelming. It became very clear, very quickly that Rocky Bhai was back once again and in an even massier avatar. The teaser stands tall at 240M+ views, the highest for any Indian film.

In more fantastic news for the makers, the business of KGF 2 in the Telugu states is being quoted at 60 crores. This is a figure that many actors simply dream of. It is important to mention that this is the business ratio in the Telugu states alone. 60 Crores is on par with the business ratios for many star hero films. It is praiseworthy that Yash has managed to raise the bar of Kannada cinema to such a great extent.

KGF 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Archana Jois, Prakash Raj, and many others. Prashant Neel is of course helming the project and Hombale Films have produced the movie. The movie is all set for a theatrical release on April 14th, 2022.

Prabhas as Kalki in Nag Ashwin’s Project K movie ?

Prabhas is doing a film with young director Nag Ashwin tentatively titled as Project K. The film stars Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan alongside him. Made on a Pan-India level, the film is produced by Vyjayanthi movies. The film will be the costliest film made in Indian cinema. Team is very busy with pre-production works and shoots.

There are lot of rumours about the storyline of Project K in industry circles. It is rumoured that Prabhas plays the role of Kalki Bhagwan. The letter K in Project K also stands for Kalki Bhagwan. This rumour is quite exciting and his fans are even feeling excited now. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan too have already participated in the shoot. Details about their roles have not yet come out. Amitabh Bachchan is also rumoured to be playing a character called Ashwatthama.

Prabhas on the other hand had his recent release with Radhe Shyam. This didn’t fare well as expected. The film achieved a mixed talk and was not up to the mark for his popularity. His other film Adi Purush is also made on a Pan-India level and will be released in all the Indian languages. It has to be seen how these films fare.
