K Vijayendra Prasad lashes out at Jr NTR fans over RRR issue

Writer of RRR and father of director SS Rajamouli K Vijayendra Prasad has lashed out at Jr NTR fans over their ongoing dissent over RRR. Reportedly, a section of Tarak fans are unhappy with the way their hero’s role shaped out in the movie. The fans feel that Ram Charan’s role got more importance, especially towards the climax.

Unhappy with Rajamouli, some Tarak fans have been reportedly making abusive calls and threats to the ace director. Responding to this unprovoked attack, K Vijayendra Prasad in a recent interview termed the whole issue unnecessary.

“When NTR himself said that his career will be seen in terms of before RRR and after RRR, what problem do the fans have with it? How can they question his character in the movie, when he himself is super satisfied with it?” questioned the blockbuster writer.

Meanwhile, RRR is continuing its historic run and is bracing up for its second blockbuster weekend. The occupancies and advance bookings indicate heavy collections in the next two days and RRR is on course to center records in many areas.

After the stupendous success of RRR, all eyes are now on Superstar Mahesh Babu & SS Rajamouli combo film. Both Mahesh and Rajamouli have huge mutual admiration for each other and have been planning to come together for a while. Now, the project has been made official and every single update about the film is increasing the excitement levels of the fans.

Writer K Vijayendra Prasad and MM Srilekha have given enough hints and answered questions about the film and its genre in various interviews. Now director SS Rajamouli himself has spoken about the project much to the excitement of movie lovers.

The ace director has confirmed that the film will go on floors by the end of 2022. “Usually I will take about six to seven months from this point to get the storyline ready, get some of the pre-visualization and pre-production ready for the shoot. I think by this year-end, we should start rolling,” he stated.

Mahesh is currently focused on Sarkaru Vaari Paata and the film’s shoot will be wrapped up in the next few days. Post this he will be busy with movie promotions and SSMB28 with Trivikram. Rajamouli, on the other hand, is taking a much-needed break for a while and will get back to work on the Mahesh project.

Rashi Khanna’s shocking comments on South film industry

After a brief hiatus, Rashi Khanna will be making a comeback to Telugu films with a bunch of releases lined up later this year. The actress was recently seen in the Hindi web series ‘Rudra’ and her performance was well appreciated. However, the actress’ comments on the South film industry during ‘Rudra’ promotions has attracted some controversy.

The actress during one of the interviews spoke on the functioning of the Southern industries and said that the actresses are segregated on the basis of being ‘performers’ and ‘glam dolls’. She added that she has lost out on several projects due to being objectified as a pretty girl.

“In the South, they will label you as ‘lady’, ‘lass’, ‘milky beauty’ and it will only stop if you fight back. Half of the time it comes out because of the love fans have for you, but basic objectification is the problem,” she explained.

“They don’t want to see beyond the looks, that’s what I was facing in the South where people were not taking me seriously as an actor. While I think things have changed a little after Rudra, it will definitely change after my upcoming projects, which I think is only a good thing for me,” she added.

Rashi Khanna made her debut with the critically acclaimed Bollywood action thriller Madras Cafe. After the success of the film, she moved to Telugu and Tamil industries where she got a lot of offers and recognition. While her comments were about her experiences, they have not gone down well with a lot of fans back south.

She will be next seen in ‘Pakka Commercial’ with Gopichand and ‘Thank You’ with Naga Chaitanya later this year.

Young and energetic Naveen polishetty with Classy Anushka will be an interesting combination to look out for. Ra Ra Krishnayya’s director Mahesh P is holding the megaphone after 7 years. It is heard that the movie is a crazy love story between an elder woman and a young guy. The movie is going to begin it’s shoot from 4th April.

RRR picks the momentum, indicates a strong 2nd weekend at Boxoffice

RRR after its first week has registered staggering numbers and has established many new opening day and opening weekend records. However, as expected, the collections saw a slight dip during the weekdays. Now, with the 2nd weekend approaching, RRR is seeing a hike in occupancies and is picking up momentum towards another milestone weekend.

The advance bookings from Friday evening are excellent in all territories and languages. A solid weekend is expected and the next two days will be big in Telugu states due to Ugadi. All in all, RRR is in for another great weekend at the box office huge numbers are expected.

Overall the film has collected a share of 186.3Crs from the Telugu States and the worldwide share of the Telugu version is close to 263.2Crs. We need to see how much more will the second week to the already humungous collections of the film.

Vijay’s Beast is releasing on the 13th of April and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is releasing on April 14th. Hence the movie has a good 2 weeks of time to make the most out of the box office in both Tamil Nadu as well as Karnataka.

Casting couch cases on Pushpa movie choreographer

Casting couch cases are not new to film industry. We heard a lot of cases especially in Bollywood. The latest is on renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Ganesh Acharya choreographed Allu Arjun and Samantha for the latest sensation Oo Antava Mawa Oo Antava song from Pushpa.

The choreographer worked for more than 500 films in the Industry. He composed choreography for almost all the super stars and worked for blockbuster songs throughout his career. The dance master previously accused by Saroj Khan another star choreographer for using her name to trap young women. Ganesh Acharya and his assistant are accused under section 354 – A, 354 – C, 354 – D, 509, 323 and 504.

A female assistant of Ganesh master complained that the choreographer harassed her. She also told that her master used to show her porn videos and send lewd messages. She even accused that Ganesh master forced her for sex in 2010 for which she denied. He tried to convince her by saying that he will make her get more offers in industry. As she denied his wish, he made her to loose her membership in Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association. Let’s see how this case goes in future.

Tamil Actor Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer Beast is on the news for quite sometime. Vijay’s Earlier blockbuster Master raised lot of hype and expectations on his next project Beast. The film is directed by Nelson. Nelson had scored a big blockbuster with Siva Karthikeyan starrer Doctor. This even raised more expectations. The film is made on big scale. Anirudh is also the music director for the film.

Now, Vijay’s Brand is doing huge business for Beast despite the competition with KGF 2. Tamil Nadu territories business is being done close to 80 cr ratio. Telugu states are said to be sold for 10.5 cr and Kerala at 7.5 cr, Karnataka at 8 cr, Overseas for 32 cr and Rest of India will be in the range of 2.5 crores. Overall the theatrical business is in the range of 140 crs. The film needs to collect 280 cr+ gross worldwide for breakeven and even more for hit status.

Recently released songs have already brought the necessary craze and hype for the film. First single, Arabic Kuthu garnered around 250 Million views in a month and Jolly o Gymkhana with 35 Million views in 12 days on YouTube. The trailer of the film is said to be releasing tomorrow on April 2.

RRR fake numbers for Nizam and Ceded benchmarks

RRR team is said to be adding fake numbers for Nizam and ceded territories. RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan released on 25 March amidst much fanfare. Fans of both heroes had lot of expectations on this film. Rajamouli directing this film after his mighty Bahubali series is also one of the reasons for this. Promotional events and publicity was also done heavily for this film.

The film however achieved a positive talk and started to rule the box office from the day 1 and had a very good weekend. The film collected around 500 crs gross and 285 crs share in its weekend. But the film dropped on the weekdays witnessing drops in many areas. High ticketing prices is also a reason for this. Repeat audience are affected by this heavy prices. For 100 cr in Nizam and 50 cr in Ceded benchmarks, distributors and team are announcing the hyped numbers in these two territories. More than 10 crs are said to be added in these two territories till now.

The film has become a liability for both heroes and Rajamouli. Rajamouli who earned a brand with Bahubali should live up to this brand. It is also one of the reasons for these fake numbers.

The USA premiers are already screened. Unfortunately negative talk is making rounds from the premier. Though the first half received a decent talk, viewers felt that last one hour spoiled the film. Got to wait for few hours to know how it goes with the audience in India. With having festival weekend in front, the comedy thriller is expected to grab the audience to theatres.

As per the latest trend, Mishan impossible is expected to release on OTT with in a month. The streaming partner for this entertainer is Netflix.
