Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger released on 25th August amidst massive hype and great occupancies all over. The film, however, met with poor reviews and below-par word of mouth. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is a pan-India project produced by Puri himself along with Karan Johar. Liger 1st Day was quite eventful and saw huge celebrations by fans.
Coming to Liger 1st Day collections, Liger started with terrific noon and special shows but started dropping by each passing show. The film managed to collect a double-digit share in Telugu states. However, this is also not on par if the pre-release business is considered.
The Telugu version pre-release business is valued at Rs 70Cr the film has collected in the range of Rs 13 Cr – Rs 14Cr. On Day 2, the bookings look very poor. The buyers have started worrying about the losses and only an unlikely massive turnaround can save the movie from massive losses.
The sports action drama also stars Ananya Pandey and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. Karan Johar and Puri are jointly producing the film. Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger was released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi as well as in Malayalam.
