It has been nearly 2-3 weeks since the release of Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2 but going by the box office trends of both the films, they look unstoppable. Both films have been posting great numbers every day.
While Sita Ramam has done very well domestically as well as overseas. Karthikeya 2 has done enormously well in the Hindi belt as well, collecting more than 20+ crores in net collections. Sita Ramam has collected more than 60+ crores in gross. Whereas Karthikeya 2 stands at a whopping 100 crores in gross.
In addition to that, the poor reviews and talk surrounding the recent biggie release Liger, has also helped the two films witness a massive surge. Both the movies have witnessed a jump for the weekend, with houseful shows being added.
Extra shows are being added for Karthikeya 2 and Sita Ramam in place of Liger. Liger set out to shake India but looks like Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2 are the lion and tiger of the box office respectively. This just proves yet again that content will always be the king. It does not matter who the star is, it does not matter how much you promote the film. What matters is, content.
