Rajamouli hits 1000cr gross mark again with RRR at box office

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is continuing it’s rampage at box office. The film has been holding strong at the box office since its release. It’s not a one week bonanza, In fact the collections of the film has maintained a steady flow with audiences all over the world it released. RRR has managed to cross the Rs. 1000 cr mark at the worldwide box office in 16 days. The master director SS Rajamouli’s second directorial to achieve this feat. Only 3 Indian films has crossed 1000Cr gross mark worldwide. They are Baahubali2, Dangal and RRR.

Rajamouli’s previous directorial Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion collected 800 cr gross from the domestic market and 200+ cr from the overseas markets. Baahubali 2 is the first Indian film to achieve this feat. Then Aamir Khan’s Dangal joined the list of 1000 Cr gross. Now it is RRR that surpasses 1000 Crs gross and continuing it’s run at the box office. With this, Only Prabhas, Aamir Khan, Ram Charan and NTR are in 1000 cr club. As for the business of the film, with little to no competition, the collections of RRR are expected to continue to hold stead. In fact, Trade experts predict that the collections of the film could even see an increase over its third weekend.

Jersey postponed because of KGF2 massive advance bookings

14th April seemed to be a big day as three big films from three different industries announced their release. In Olden days this case is not a problem at all. But things changed now, Pan India culture has already started and regional language films have acquired the market all over India. So it is important to keep an eye on the other industry films too while releasing. Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey from Bollywood, Vijay’s Beast from Kollywood and Yash’s KGF 2 from Sandalwood announced their arrival on 14th April, 2022. But things changed last night and Jersey opted out from the race.

Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey release has been postponed once again. Jersey will now hit the theaters on 22nd April. The date has been postponed due to massive advance bookings of KGF Chapter 2. On 7th April, BookMyShow opened advance ticket booking in selected theatres in North India, Tamill Nadu and Kerala. Most of the shows are sold out already and this will tell you the craze for KGF2. So the stake holders of Jersey decided late last night to postpone the release to one week.

KGF director Prashanth Neel confirms his next film after Salaar

India’s most awaited film now is KGF Chapter 2. The high voltage action celluloid is ready to set the screens on fire. Rocking star Yash and the director Prashanth Neel is busy in promoting the film as the release is just four days away. As this being the sequel of the sensational hit KGF, a lot of hype had been created among the second part. Prashanth Neel’s next is Salaar with Prabhas that completed 30% of shoot already. After Salaar, Prashanth Neel will work with NTR. The film is tentatively called ‘NTR 31’ and will go on floors sometime next year. RRR has been the talk of the town recently and deservedly so. Rajamouli proved yet again why no filmmaker comes close to him in terms of creating the perfect commercial movie for a mass audience. RRR has been on a record-breaking spree, shattering multiple pre-existing records.

To add to that, it has now entered the illustrious list of 100 crore grossing movies in the USA, being only second to Rajamouli’s previous magnum opus Baahubali 2. This is an extremely impressive feat as RRR is a stand-alone single-part film, whereas Baahubali 2 was in a league of its own.

RRR will not cross Baahubali 2’s record any time soon but it can still hold its head up high for the accomplishments. RRR stars Ram Charan, JR.NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris in lead roles. DVV Danayya is the producer of the film. MM Keeravani is the music director of the film.

KGF 2 Makers Feels No Need To Spend Huge Money On Promotions

Normally, when there is a huge film up for release, the makers will do a lot of promotional activities to reach every section of the audience. The makers don’t mind splurging a large amount of money on pre-release events, audio events, etc. They hope that this will in turn help in collections.

A prime example of this is the recently released RRR. RRR undeniably has to be the most promoted Indian film by a long shot. From constructing grand sets just for the lyrical videos, multiple grand events in Mumbai, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala to numerous interviews in various languages, RRR has done it all.

But when we take a look at KGF 2, the makers are not as keen to spend huge amounts of money on promotion. As of now, there is no pre-release event planned in any language. The only promotions they have done so far are a couple of press meets and interviews.

The makers feel that the movie has already garnered a huge buzz on its own. They don’t want to spend extra money on these events. Going by the sensational advance bookings of KGF 2, the makers seem to be correct in their assumptions.

It is a common trend for top actresses to do an item song now and then to remain in the public eye. Item songs also cater to the masses thereby helping their brand value immensely. A prime example of this is Samantha’s Oo Antava Mawa Oo Antava Mawa which rose her stardom to greater heights. The song was even played at the Miami festival, the biggest festival in the world.

The latest actress to bag herself a role in an item song is the Beast actress Pooja Hegde. She will be seen sizzling in Anil Ravipudi’s F3, a sequel to the blockbuster F2. This will be Pooja’s second item song after her terrific moves in Rangasthalam as Jigelu Rani.

After every movie, Anil Ravipudi ropes in his previous actress for a special song in the film. Sruthi Sodhi, Rashi Khanna, and Tamannah have also all done special songs in his films. The next in line was supposed to be Rashmika but due to some reasons that has not materialized.
