Record bookings for Marvel’s Doctor Strange in India

The upcoming Marvel film Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness has set the box office on fire way before its release. The action-adventure film is now on its way to a record opening at the theatres on its release in India tomorrow.

The English version advance bookings have fetched Rs 17.4 (5469 shows) crores while the Hindi version has collected Rs 6.2 (4269 shows crores and Telugu version has collected Rs 0. 57 lakhs (346 shows). Overall, including the other versions, the advance bookings have fetched around Rs 25 crores in India.

There is great hype around this Benedict Cumberbatch starrer. It would be among the top 5 Hollywood openers of all time in India, right alongside films like Avengers: End Game, Spiderman: No Way Home, and Avengers: Infinity War.

Overall, it is being estimated that the film has sold around 6.5 lakhs tickets in India alone and this number is expected to shoot up in the coming hours. Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness is a sequel to Dr. Strange that was released back in 2016. The first version was a massive blockbuster and fetched great critical acclaim and is termed by many as one of the best Marvel movies.

KGF director Prashanth Neel is one of the most sought-after directors today. With just 3 films, Neel has displayed tremendous commercial viability along with a solid grip on mass pulse. This is what almost all the leading actors down south are willing to collaborate with the Kannada filmmaker.

After the monstrous success of KGF2, he will be directing Prabhas in Salaar. The shoot already started last year and some amazing action sequences have already been shot featuring the ‘Young Rebel Star’. The producers are also leaving no stone unturned and are investing heavily in these fight sequences.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel’s stocks have skyrocketed in with the massive success of KGF series. Tollywood producers have already committed a few films with him and Telugu producers are ready to give as much as Rs 50crs for a film making him one of the highest-paid directors in India.

Post Salaar, Prashanth Neel will direct Jr NTR in NTR31. This will be a high-budget Pan India film that will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Neel is also in talks with some top Tollywood stars like Ram Charan.

He recently met Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in Hyderabad. Ever since the meet, the rumours of their collaboration have become louder.

Anil Ravipudi to continue F2 series with another sequel

With the release of Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F3 just around the corner, there are rumours of a next installment as well. Director Anil Ravipudi has stated that he is working on F4 and has prepared a storyline for it. He has hinted that he is planning to take this ‘Fun and Frustration’ series on a grander scale.

This was presented to the producers as well and he is awaiting a green signal from them confirmed the director. Meanwhile, preparations have started for F3 promotions. This sequel film which is a comedy entertainer will release on May 27th.

F3 will see Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah, and Mehreen return to the their roles. Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore and Raghu Babu will also return with this sequel. Anil Ravipudi has promised that this time there will be double dose of entertainment. Sonal Chauhan, Sunil, and Ali have also joined the cast for this project.

Coming to the story of the film, Anil Ravipudi said that F3 revolves around the problems associated with money. “It is a universal subject and I want to tell people how money influences the world. F3 will be more fun than F3” he added.

F3 is produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Productions banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the film’s music.

Kamal Haasan’s upcoming flick Vikram is gearing up for release. The film director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently announced the completion of the film’s shoot. Along with Kamal Haasan, Vikram also features Fahad Fazil and Vijay Sethupathi. This action entertainer is produced by Kamal Haasan itself under Raaj Kamal films international.

Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is his most ambitious project and most expensive film yet. A lot of expectations have been weighed upon the movie and rightly so. The teaser looks promising and shows Pawan Kalyan in a new avatar.

After which rumors were floating around that Niddhi Aggerwal will be cast to play the female counterpart but there is finally some official confirmation. Hot Bollywood actress/dancer Nora Fatehi has been cast to play Roshanara Begum, the third daughter of Shah Jahan.

Nora has previously featured in dance numbers in Tollywood in Kick 2, Baahubali, etc. However, this will be her first appearance in a full-fledged role. The makers have deemed her fit due to her acting as well as dancing capabilities.

Acharya makers opted for an early OTT release to recover theatrical losses

The debacle of Acharya has made the makers take a pretty hard decision. The film is already running to empty houses and seeing drops with every succeeding show. Hence the makers have decided to go for an early OTT release in the hope of covering some losses at least.

The movie has tanked at the box office and has brought massive losses in every territory for the buyers. Now, Amazon Prime Video will stream the movie this month itself. The release date will be less than three weeks from its theatrical releae much to everyone’s shock.

Acharya makers will now get an additional Rs 18 crores for opting for an early release. This action entertainer starred Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in key roles and Koratala Siva directed it.

It is on its way to becoming the biggest disaster ever in Telugu cinema. More than Rs 80Cr loss is expected, Distributors demanding compensation of Rs 50Cr to cover losses. No movie has ever recorded Rs 80Cr loss in the history of Telugu cinema.

The movie was released amidst mostly negative reviews with many terming it the weakest movie by Koratala Siva so far. Acharya’s outdated storyline and subpar screenplay ended up being its biggest drawbacks.

KGF2 heading towards the highest grosser of 2022 by crossing RRR

KGF2 is scripting history at the box office. The film has done tremendously well in all the regions and is smashing records across languages. KGF2 has created another big sensation which only 3 Indian films have done so far. It has crossed the Rs 1000 crores benchmark at the box office. Only Bahubali 2, Dangal, and RRR have achieved this so far and it is indeed a massive moment for the entire team.

Now the film has achieved another massive feat. KGF2 is now on its way to becoming the highest grosser of the year and has crossed SS Rajamouli’s RRR. This is a huge achievement for the film especially considering the humongous success of RRR itself. The film had a big jump on Eid and is now heading towards highest grosser of 2022.

The film is just around 40Cr behind RRR and Will easily cross this mark considering the current pace, No one imagined this rampage at the box office.

While there were massive expectations for the film prior to its release, no one expected it to score this big at the box office.

This action entertainer also achieved a unique record earlier last week. It became the first film to gross Rs 100 crores + in four languages. This Yash starrer has managed to hit the Rs 100 crore gross mark in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. No other film has ever done something like this.

We will take severe action on Viswak Sen says minister

Vishwak Sen is in news for last two days for a controversy. The actor’s latest film Ashoka Vaman Lo Arjuna Kalyanam is slated for release on 6th May. The team planned a prank video as a part of promotions. It didn’t receive well by the audience. But the things got worse when a live debate is taken up by TV9 about the prank video. The heated argument between Vishwak Sen and anchor Devi Nagavalli went viral.

In the debate Vishwak Sen was upset on the anchor for making personal comments on him. Devi Nagavalli allegedly called him Pagal Sen and a depressed guy for which Vishwak Sen was upset. So a heated argument took place in who CC the anchor asked the hero to get out from the studio.

Shocked Vishwak Sen used a F word and told that he is least interested in coming to TV9. Then the anchor complained this to Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.  After knowing about the incident, the minister told that the behaviour of Vishwak Sen is not in good taste. He also told that severe action will be taken on the hero for the inappropriate actions and abusive language. Let’s see how the things will turn out for the hero before his film release.
