Super Star Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited film Sarkaru Vaari Paata finally releasing on 12th May worldwide. Promotional content which was released ao far has received very good response, especially the theatrical trailer which is out last week. Parasuram directed Sarkaru Vaari Paata Worldwide theatrical rights are valued at 119.5Crs. While the Telugu States rights valued at 98.5Crs, Karnataka rights valued 7Crs and TN & ROI 1.5Crs for each region. Superstar Mahesh Babu letter to his fans on Sarkaru Vaari Paata release and SSMB28

Superstar Mahesh Babu has written a letter to his fans ahead of the release of Sarkaru Vaari Paata. He has appealed the fans to watch the movie in theatres which is going to release on 12th May this month. He has even reported about the shooting details of his upcoming Trivikram directorial #SSMB28 which will have its shoot from June this year. Well this is an interesting letter from Mahesh Babu as he has never written such letters.

On the other hand, the pre-release event of Sarkaru Vaari Paata is happening today at Hyderabad on a grand level. Promo of the film’s mass song, Ma Ma Mahesha released yesterday to much fanfare. The song became a sensation with fans liking the attire of Mahesh Babu and his dances. The song clocked more than 7 Million Views in 21 hours and still counting. The trailer of the film has already made sensation by crossing more than 27 Million Views in 24 hours. The makers and director of the film are looking very confident about the film.

The film’s music has already received good applause from the fans and audiences. S S Thaman composed the music for the film.

Kannada star hero in Rajinikanth next film

Thalaivar Rajinikanth’s next is with the director Nelson Dilip kumar. In fact the director’s last outing Beast didn’t fare as expected at box office. So his next with Rajinikanth will be an important project for the young director. Thalaivar 169 announcement itself created huge buzz as Anirudh being the composer.

A lot of speculations are being heard about the project since it’s announcement. Aishwarya Rai and Ramya Krishna’s names came out as the lead actresses. Adding to the list another big star of Kannada film industry is likely to act with Rajinikanth.

The latest info is that Kannada hero Shivarajkumar might be a part of Thalaivar 169. The Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar is currently busy working on multiple projects. His next up is his 125th film Vedha. So the star actor reportedly will join Rajinikanth’s film in August.

Rajinikanth is a close friend to Kannada Kanteerava Dr.RajKumar and his entire family. Hence this collaboration will add more weightage to the film. Especially when it will release in Karnataka. And Shivraj Kumar’s Tamil fluency will help the film too although he didn’t act in a straight Tamil film till now. Let’s wait for the official confirmation.

Chiranjeevi who once used to be the leading Megastar of Tollywood looks out of the top heroes race now. Once upon a time, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh were the biggest stars of Tollywood. With new generation heroes, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, Prabhas and Ram Charan picking up, senior heroes market has started witnessing downfall and they are out of the race.

When Chiranjeevi quit movies for politics, the fight was only among these new top 6 heroes. But Chiranjeevi made a super comeback with Khaidi no 150 and indicated that he is still in the race. But with Acharya everything went wrong for Chiranjeevi. The movie is the biggest disaster for Chiranjeevi and the upcoming line-up is also very poor. Acharya has almost ended up seeing a loss of close to 90 crores which is very shocking. The film also stars his son, Ram Charan who is riding high with the success of recent blockbuster, RRR. But all these didn’t save Acharya. Distributors of Acharya are also demanding their money back. A distributor has also written an open letter to Chiranjeevi.

Looks like Chiranjeevi is failing to get new audiences in theatres. Trade analysts feel that like other senior heroes, Chiranjeevi is also out of the top race.

Pan India biggie Pushpa 2 is ready to go on sets

Recent Pan Indian biggie Pushpa‘s sequel, Pushpa : The Rule is ready to go on sets. Allu Arjun and Sukumar are riding very high with the success of Pushpa. The story is ready and Sukumar is working on screenplay and minor script changes. The shoot is learned to start from August.

Pushpa started out as a normal film was made into two parts. The film started to grab the attention and slowly became a Pan-Indian film with its songs and mannerisms becoming very popular throughout the country. Many celebrities started to imitate the dance steps and mannerisms of Allu Arjun. Now the makers are planning very big to make it a big success like KGF Chapter 2 and RRR. KGF Chapter 2 grossed more than 400 crores in its Hindi version alone and RRR grossed more than 1000 crores worldwide.

All eyes are on Pushpa : The Rule now as it too enjoys the same popularity like KGF Chapter 2 and RRR. KGF Chapter 2 is now the second highest grossing Hindi film (dubbed) after Baahubali 2. It has to be seen how Pushpa 2 performs at the box office.

Venkatesh to star in Salman Khan’s Bollywood film

Venkatesh is about to star in the upcoming Salman Khan’s hindi film. Venkatesh, one of the leading stars of Tollywood enjoys a good relation with Salman Khan. This will be Venkatesh’s return to Bollywood after 27 years. He debuted in Bollywood in 1993 with Anari, remake of his own film, Chanti. He also starred in another hindi film, Taqdeerwala in 1995. This was his last film in Hindi.

Venkatesh as said will play a role in Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Apparently Venkatesh and Salman Khan have been good friends for a long time. The makers were looking to cast a big hero from South. In fact, the buzz is it was Salman Khan who had asked Venkatesh to be a part of this project. Venkatesh will soon join the sets of the film in Mumbai. His role is learned to be a full length role, not an extended cameo.

Salman Khan interestingly is also playing a role in Chiranjeevi’s next film, Godfather, remake of Malayalam film, Lucifer. With movies getting Pan-India, the makers are casting stars from various industries to cater to the audiences.

Can you name a small movie that did well at box office? Took some time to think and even a movie strikes, you found out that was way long right? Yes it seems like the small movies era has took a break.

Few years ago a lot of small movies created sensation at box office. Taking them as inspiration a lot of young talent stepped into industry. The young generation directors like venkatesh Maha, Swaroop RSJ, Sandeep Raj and others have beautiful debuts to Telugu industry. But in few years especially after Corona the picture of small movies turned upside down.

During Covid, theatres were closed and people started watching movies on OTT platforms. Hence a lot of movies postponed for theatre release and some are released in OTT. Especially small movies released in OTT and people slowly got used to the OTT era. After Covid all the big movies made their way out and with the star heroes advantage they managed to pull the crowds to theatres.

But small movies failed in this area. They couldn’t bring the audience to theatres. Yesterday three Movies released and all three failed to get good numbers. Suma’s Jayamma Panchayati, Vishwak Sen’s AVAK, Sei Vishnu’s Bhale Thandanana despite having popular actors failed to attract audience to theatres. In recent times all the small movies are failing big time at Box office. So let’s see how long this trend goes.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata director P. Parasuram was once a small budget film director. All his films starred only medium range heroes except Ravi Teja who is also a tier 2 range hero. He has got a golden opportunity by directing Mahesh Babu for Sarkaru Vaari Paata. This was due to the success he got with Geetha Govindam. Now he is set to direct Naga Chaitanya for his next film.

After doing a big budget film, every director wants to continue the same momentum by directing another star hero with big film. But as per planning, Parasuram should direct Naga Chaitanya before beginning Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The cancellation of Mahesh Babu-Vamshi Paidipally film project brought Parasuram on board. Naga Chaitanya too seems to have told Parasuram to go ahead with Sarkaru Vaari Paata as that will be great opportunity for Parasuram. Parasuram promised Naga Chaitanya to do his next film for him. Parasuram too confirmed this now. It is very good to see a director standing by his words.

On the other hand, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is all set to release this May 12th. The pre-release event of the film is planned on 7th May.

Distributor writes a letter to Chiranjeevi for Acharya loss compensation

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starter Acharya turned out to be disaster at the box office. The project launched as a mega project that created hide buzz across the industry. Successful director Koratala Siva who doesn’t have flop till now joined hands with megastar. The project turned a hot cake when Ram Charan roped in for full fledged role.

With all the above reasons, Acharya raised expectations. So the pre business was massive for the film. Now the table turned down and Acharya failed at box office. This has left exhibitors and distributors in dismay. Acharya’s budget is 140 crores and the film expected to bring profits to all the stake holders involved. But instead of profits, everyone is getting losses for the film.

The Karnataka Distributor Rajgopal twho incurred huge loss wrote an open letter to Chiranjeevi. The distributor hoping a compensation from Chiranjeevi mentioned that he has suffered loss of 75 percent. Now, the movie is coming on Amazon Prime Video earlier than expected. The helpless distributor expressed that he bought the movie one year back and so he ran into debts. Hence the distributor with positive approach asked chiranjeevi for help so that he can work for the hero’s future projects.

Can Uppena fame Buchi babu wait for another 2 -3 years?

Uppena released last year and  became a massive blockbuster. Sukumar’s Assistamt Buchi Babu Sana made his debut as director and impressed everyone with his first outing. Buchi Babu gave a blockbuster with debut actors Vaishnav Tej and Krithi shetty. The impressive work by the debut director impressed and pleased everyone in the industry too.

The young director received many offers immediately after the hit. But he signed only one with mythri makers. Buchi babu prepared his mind to direct his next film with only star hero and he narrated the story to NTR. The story got a positive nod from the young tiger.  So it is said that NTR will do Buchi Babu’s film after Koratala’s film.

But Buzz now is NTR is planning to do Prashant Neel film first after NTR30 with Koratala. So NTR want to push Buchi babu’s film next to Prashanth Neel’s film. Now we have to see if Buchi babu will wait for another 2-3 years or will he direct any other film in between.
