Trivikram’s upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled SSMB28 is being planned to be released for next Sankranthi. The shooting for the film starts from June this year as reported by Mahesh Babu through a letter. As per schedule, the entire shooting will be completed by November and Trivikram wants to release the film on Sankranthi like his previous film, Ala Vaikuntapurramulo.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is presently busy with his current film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata. This film will release on May 12th this month. There are huge expectations on the film from fans and audiences. Mahesh Babu recently never appeared in such a massy role and the film is made on a large scale with huge cast. Songs of the film received good applause from the audience. The trailer of the film made a sensation by crossing more than 27 Million Views in 24 hours. Mass song of the film, Ma Ma Mahesha too garnered around 18 Million views in 24 hours.

Trivikram is also reported to be working for an upcoming remake film of Pawan Kalyan, Vinodaya Sitham. He will pen the dialogues for the film.

Acharya starring Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan released on April 24th and became the biggest disaster in Tollywood. The film has also almost seen a loss close to 90 cr. This is a poor record and also a big loss for a film in recent times. The film being a mega multi-starrer becoming a disaster is very shocking. Its loss is also affecting the upcoming films on the line.

The buyers of Acharya are still in shock of the film’s loss and don’t want to take any risk again. The buyers seem to be not ready to buy movies at higher prices. The distributors are not getting big offers from Exhibitors. The exhibitors offers are in the range of reasonable prices and distributors are quoting at higher prices which resulted the business being not closed in most of the stations. Many distributors of Acharya are also demanding money as compensation instead of upcoming films. A distributor has gone even ahead and wrote an open letter to Chiranjeevi.

Big ticket prices are also one of the reasons for this kind of losses. Films with poor and average mouth talk are getting out rightly rejected by the audience fearing the high ticket price. The same treatment is also given to the films which released a week after Acharya. It has to be seen how Sarkaru Vaari Paata deals this situation.

Vignesh Shivan recently directed Nayanthara in his romantic entertainer Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. The film feature Vijay Sethupathi, and Samantha alongside Nayanthara.
