Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand had no other release from 2018 and it was only in 2018 July, that his action adventure Shamshera was released.
With the debacle of Shamshera, all hopes were now pinned on Brahmastra and the film is now doing record-breaking business in all territories. Brahmastra opened to positive reviews and good word of mouth.
Now Brahmastra has collected 125Cr nett over first weekend and has set a new benchmark for Hindi films. The previous record for direct Hindi films was Sanju which collected Rs 120 crores.
The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna in key roles. This fantasy adventure film is a pan-India release and the lead cast along with director Ayan Mukherjee and producer Karan Johar have been extremely busy promoting the film all over.
