RRR crosses 15Cr mark in Japan, sets a new record for Indian cinema

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is creating one record after another in Japan. The film has now crossed the Rs 15 crore mark in the country and is quickly rising the charts of the highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan.

The movie is going super strong in Japan and is set to cross $2M in a few days. RRR is now the fastest Indian film to cross 250M yen collection in Japan. The film will easily cross Rajinikanth’s Muthu at the current pace with a good margin. Muthu’s success in Japan is one of the most fascinating stories. This Rajinikanth starter created huge impact in the easternmost country and earned the superstar a massive following there.

After Muthu, Baahubali was also received quite well in Japan earning both Prabhas and Rana great adulation from the local fans. And now, RRR has also managed to win the hearts of the Japanese. The film was widely promoted in the country and Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and SS Rajamouli were present during the Japanese premieres and attended several events.

ED Office investigating Puri Jagan and Charmee on Liger budget investments

Liger has been a nightmare for everyone involved in the project. The problems of liger are still continuing. The latest buzz is that Enforcement Directorate that investigate economic offenses has focuses on liger team. Director Puri Jagannath and producer Charmee are under interrogation from today’s morning.

ED is investigating the allegations of the production house that politicians have invested money in the project. ED has already served notices to Puri Jagannath 15 days ago. Though nothing substantial has emerged, this might take another few months to know the clear picture.

As we know, Liger is a big disaster that failed to collect even 30% of the business it made. Distributors have also asked for compensation. Amidst all the clamor, this is the new headache for Puri Jagannath. We hope he gets to concentrate on work and regain his lost form.

Ever since the Liger movie was announced in the combination of Puri Jagannath and Vijay Devarakonda, it became a crazy topic for the movie-goers. The posters and promos of the movie, the statements given by Vijay Devarakonda and Charmee about the movie’s box office potential everything became a laughing stuff after the movie got released and became a disaster.

While Vijay Devarakonda is still confused regarding his next movie, Puri Jagannath also didn’t get any chance for his next movie. There were some news that he will once again direct a movie with his Son Akash Puri as main lead, but that didn’t happen.

Totally 12 Action episodes in Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy

Balakrishna is one of the biggest action stars of tollywood. His movies have high dose of violence and fights are exclusively choreographed for him. His action sequences under Boyapati direction has separate fans.

Continuing the same trend, Veera Simha Reddy which is based in Rayalaseema faction has 12 action sequences (small and large). Gopichand Malineni is a mass director with special emphasis on songs and fights. His last movie with Raviteja, Krack, had excellent action sequences. Hence, combination of Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni is on expected lines regarding action dose.

However, too much of masala spoils the dish. There were few instances where Balayya movies had overdose of violence, leading to flops. A section of audiences like women and children doesn’t like much violence, for them, too many fights aren’t palatable.

The movie has a big star cast like Sruthi Hassan, sandalwood star Duniya Vijay, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Honey Rose, Lal etc. The movie is lacing up for sankranthi release, tentative date is 12th January 2023.

It is already known that Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are locking horns for 2023 Sankranthi race. These veteran actors have competed many times during Sankranthi season. Fans and movie lovers are eagerly waiting to see this contest between their favorite heroes.

Distributors are eager to buy both these movies and test their luck despite the heavy competition for theaters allocation because it is Sankranthi Season. Hence, the prices are soaring much above than the average box office collections of both the heroes.

The festival advantage might help the buyers recover their investments. Hope both movies become blockbusters and make the distributors and exhibitors happy since they are seeing a dull phase since Dussehra.

Kamal Haasan vs Vijay sethupathi again after blockbuster Vikram

The crazy combination is back again. Kamal Haasan is on a roll, signing interesting movies with most happening directors. His latest movie is with H Vinoth is an action entertainer. The movie will be having Vijay Sethupathi playing as villain. This has furthered the excitement on the movie. Fans are eagerly waiting to see these actors together once again.

Vikram is one of the biggest hits in Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi career. They both played hero and villain respectively. Kamal as undercover agent and Vijay Sethupathi as Drug dealer have shown their swag and make the action entertainer, an industry hit. Though others like Fahad Fasil and Chemban Vinod are present, Kamal & Sethupathi are the no.1 & no.2 in the movie.

Such combination repeating in a movie directed by H Vinoth who is known to make good action dramas is worth waiting for. Though Vikram was a blockbuster, it has little scope to explore the acting skills beyond the swag and attitude.

Actors did well what they are offered. In Vinoth’s movie there can be good scope for acting and these two actors would make it a treat for the audiences with their stunning performances.

Kamal is currently working with Shankar for Indian 2 and after completing this movie he will go to Vinoth’s movie. He has a good line up after that as well. It is reported that Mani Ratnam is going to collaborate once again with Kamal.

In the past, they did a classic called Nayagan that is one of the best movies ever made in Indian cinema. Expectations are high for all the movies of Kamal that are lined up one after another. It’s ulaganayagan time in kollywood.
