Nowadays, the audience is waiting for OTT releases with the same interest as theatrical releases. Because of the corona effect, OTT platforms have become part and parcel of everyone’s life now. So now going in the flow, two new movies have fixed their OTT release dates.

Kiran Abbavaram, who has achieved success with ‘Rajavaru Ranigaru’ and ‘SR Kalyana Mandapam’, recently tried to impress the audience with the film ‘Nenu Meeku Baga Kavalsinavadini’. Sridhar Gade directed this movie. Produced by Kodi Divya Deepthi under the banner of Kodi Divya Entertainments.

It stars Sanjana Anand and Sonu Thakur as heroines opposite Kiran Abbavaram. This film, which was rushed with good publicity before the pre-release, could not impress the people at all with its poor content. Although the opening day collection was okay, it could not stand at the box office the next day. As a result, another flop came into Kiran’s account.

Now this movie has got its OTT release date locked. This movie will stream on Amazon Prime along with Aha Video from October 14th.

Sharwananad’s latest film “Oke Oka Jeevitham” was released on September 9 in Tamil as well as Telugu and has impressed the audience. Director Shri Karthik was successful in weaving the story by linking their mother’s love to science fiction. Although a few scenes seem to be stretched here and there, the storytelling and the performances of Amala and Sharwanand are the main strengths for the movie to become a hit.

The movie was a profitable venture for the makers, and also was a big relief for Sharwananad who had a series of flops before this movie. Oke Oka Jeevitham will stream on the Sonyliv platform from October 20th in Telugu and Tamil languages.

After a stellar performance at the SIIMA Awards, Pushpa stole the show at the prestigious Filmfare South Awards and swept one award after another. Just like SIIMA, the Icon Star won at the Filmfare Awards for the second year in a row.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister demands an explanation from Nayanthara

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan on Sunday announced that they have become parents to twin boys. Amid fans joy and congratulatory messages pouring in, the couple’s announcement has fallen into a controversy. While Nayan and Vignesh have not made an official statement, reports say that the babies were conceived through surrogacy.

Questions are being raised over whether the procedures stipulated by the Indian surrogacy laws were followed by the couple. Nayanthara and Vignesh got married four months ago.

During a press conference on Monday, the questions were posed to Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian who has said that an inquiry will be conducted. “The surrogacy itself is subjected to a lot of debates. But, the law allows individuals to involve in surrogacy if they are above 21 years and below 36 years of age, with the approval of the family,” said the minister.

Nayanthara and Vignesh got married on June 9th at a resort in Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu. It was a royal yet low-key event in presence of close friends and family members followed by a lavish wedding reception in Chennai. After the debacle of Acharya, Chiranjeevi pinned a lot of hopes on this political drama. As mentioned many times during promotions, Chiranjeevi’s Godfather is a more commercialized version of Mohanlal’s Malayalam Blockbuster ‘Lucifer’.

The film’s theatrical rights are valued at 80Cr and it has recovered just 58% In 5 days. The Weekend collections are particularly disappointing, especially considering everyone expected the film would have a big jump. It maintained the same collections as Friday. The Monday started on a very average note and now it appears that Godfather may not reach the breakeven mark.

Chiranjeevi’s Godfather now needs some miracle and a steady run for at least another 2 weeks for entering the profit zone. But looking at the current trends, that looks highly unlikely. In addition to these issues, Godfather’s overseas release was handled pretty poorly by the makers. The poor planning was quite visible in the main territories for Telugu markets like Australia, the UK, Chennai, and other overseas countries.

The original starred Mohanlal and Prithviraj played a cameo. Nayantara played a key role alongside Satyadev and Malayalam actor Indrajith Sukumaran. Salman Khan is playing an extended cameo in this project.

Recently Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Chennakeshava Reddy movie was also re-released. Released on 5th September 2002, this movie was directed by VV. Vinayak and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.

Recently, the producer again updated the quality of the movie with the latest technology and released it. Especially overseas, the movie had shows in the same range as a new movie released.

Today, producer Bellamkonda Suresh informed that the Chennakeshava Reddy movie has received gross collections of 5.39 crores at the box office. Moreover, Bellamkonda Suresh informed us that he is donating this amount of money to Nandamuri Balakrishna Basavatharakam Cancer Hospital.

According to them, it has crossed Jalsa collections by a big margin but in reality, it is nowhere near close to Jalsa. Overseas it has a new record but in India, Jalsa is miles ahead of chenna Kesava Reddy. Announcing fake collections for re-release films is surprising.

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan continues to cross new milestones with each passing weekend. The film had a terrific opening in southern states and was phenomenal in Tamil Nadu especially. While the Hindi version also performed fairly decently. And it continued to rise above the expectations on its second weekend.

According to the trade circles, Ponniyin Selvan-1 will collect Rs 25 crore in the lifetime collection of the Hindi region by looking at the current trend. The film faced Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan’s Vikram Vedha as a challenge but steamrolled over the gangster drama.

And it’s no need to say that this Periodic blockbuster has put on Tamil Nadu box office on fire. The movie had a massive second weekend and it crosses the 150Cr gross mark at the box office. Now it’s just behind Kamal Hassan’s Vikram and crossed all other movies. And it is expected to cross Vikram’s full run and become the no.1 grosser by next weekend.

Ponniyin Selvan’s rage at the box office is not going to end soon and this movie is all set to cross the 200Cr mark by next weekend, this will be the first ever film in Tamil Nadu to cross the 200 mark.

Ponniyin Selvan-1, based on Kalki’s novel, was released in theatres on September 30 in five languages — Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film stars Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and others. The second film is expected to release next year summer.

With the rising trend of Pan-India movies, the second part of this movie is foreseen to create more records.

The film is directed by Rakesh Sashii. Dheeraj Mogilineni producing the film under Shri Tirumala Production Private Ltd banner and Allu Aravind presenting the film under GA2 Pictures banner. This high-budget mythological drama will be arriving in theatres worldwide on 12th January 2023. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Directed by Om Raut, this movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair. Vamsi and Pramod of UV Creations will be releasing it in Telugu. Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh in this ‘Adipurush’ while Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita. Sunny Singh will be seen as Lakshman.
