Things are getting ugly between the Director Puri Jagannath and distributors who have lost money because of Liger. There are a lot of controversial rumors that have appeared in this issue.

The latest news came that the Exhibitors have planned to do a strike on October 27th at the Puri Jagan office. Puri Jagan has responded strongly regarding this on a phone call it seems. The call got leaked and went viral on social media.

Even though I said that I will give money in one month, why this overaction by them? Exhibitors and distributors are all great people. Those people also have money like filmmakers, no one will fall on the road if one film fails, but they are overacting. Let’s see what they will be doing dharna said Puri.

Puri Jagannath went on to say that in Hindi they have given Liger movie to a distributor, and the calculations were very correctly shown by him, but if we see the calculations of our distributors we feel like beating them he said.

Before the release of Liger, there were a lot of overconfident statements made by the team along with the star casts. The main culprits are such careless and unwanted statements which were made by Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh, who created huge expectations in distributors and the audience view.

Looking at the confidence of the team, many distributors blindly invested in the film hoping for massive returns. But when the movie was released it became a terrible disaster.

There were also reports going viral that Vijay Devarakonda has also decided to forego Rs 6 crore from his remuneration and Puri has also started the settlement but there was no confirmation officially.

Liger is a sports drama written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vijay Devarakonda played the role of an MMA artist, while Ananya Panday played his romantic interest. Liger was produced jointly by Puri Jagannadh, Karan Johar, and Charmme Kaur. Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande, and Vish Reddy were seen in supporting roles.
