Mega fans blaming Rajamouli’s son on NTR for Oscars

The blame game between Mega fans and NTR fans is not over yet. During the RRR’s Oscar promotions in USA, most of the web media had written NTR’s performance need to be considered for Oscars. Now the Mega fans complain that it was a paid campaign run by Rajamouli son Karthikeya who is a fan of NTR.

According to Mega fans, Karthikeya desperately done this paid campaign for NTR because he did not get the appreciations like Ram Charan in India for RRR for his performance.

Mega fans and NTR fans are having a continuous fight since the RRR movie’s release. Both the fan bases are hellbent to prove that their Hero is the major lead, other hero’s contribution is less in the film’s success.

Both fan groups are creating fan wars by trolling each other without realizing that they’re demeaning their heroes’ efforts and RRR film’s international reach. Instead of being happy that their favorite heroes have received so much goodwill from RRR, they’re indulging in silly fan wars.

Hunt movie review: Decently executed cop thriller that leaves you wanting more

Movie: Hunt
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast: Sudheer Babu, Srikanth, Bharath
Director: Mahesh Surapaneni
Produced By: V Ananda Prasad
Release Date: 26th January 2022

Sudheer Babu’s Hunt is the latest movie to hit the screens this week. Directed by Mahesh Surapaneni, this remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Mumbai Police also stars Srikanth Meka and Bharath Niwas in significant roles. Let’s see if the movie managed to thrill the audience.

Story: ACP Arjun Prasad (Sudheer Babu), a friend of ACP Aryan Dev (Premisthe Bharath), begins an investigation to solve the latter’s murder mystery. Arjun makes the decision to meet Commissioner Mohan soon after solving the case ( Srikanth). At this point, Arjun suffers a terrible mishap and forgets his past. How will Arjun remember the specifics of killing Aryan Dev later? Who is the true offender? The key question is how Arjun will approach the matter.

Performances:  Look wise, nothing much has changed in Sudheer Babu. The actor performs well in action scenes but it is the emotional scenes where his weakness comes out. Bharath has got a key role in the film and while he has a small role, his presence can be felt throughout Srikanth gets a substantial role and is dependable as ever as a police commissioner. Mounika Reddy and Chitra Shukla are well-cast and do justice to their characters.

Analysis: While it’s admirable that director Mahesh Surapaneni wanted to create a gripping cop drama, his story lacks interesting passages. The interesting premise is let down by poor writing. The execution fails to create the necessary impact that a movie of this genre needs. While the movie starts well, the proceedings start to grow dull and uninteresting as it progresses. If only the second half was created in an engaging and engrossing manner, the outcome might have been fantastic.

Plus Points:

  • Casting
  • Core concept
  • Sudheer Babu and Srikanth

Minus Points:

  • Second Half
  • Dull Screenplay
  • Lack of gripping execution

Verdict:

Hunt could be a tediously long experience for those not into cop dramas. Except for the climax, which has been executed well, the film lacks the liveliness to hold one’s attention. Give it a try if you enjoy thrillers and have loads of patience, but keep your expectations in check.

Mythri Movie Makers have have had a great Sankranti 2023 with both their movies Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy performing great at the box office.

Mythri Movie Makers have entered the distribution business in Nizam and are hoping to hit big with their movies Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. Traditionally, Nizam region distribution is the strong area of players like Sunil Narang from Asian Group and Dil Raju who himself is producing Varasudu and Ajith’s Thunivu.

Now there’s a slight sharing issue that has cropped up for Mythri Movie Makers. From this Monday Multiplexes are offering a 45% share but Mythri are demanding 55% for Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. There are still discussions going on the matter and this is why the shares are not calculated for the movies from Monday.

Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya had a terrific two weeks run and is still going strong. The movie has already crossed the 100 crore share mark and is doing well overseas as well. Waltair Veerayya has crossed breakeven in all territories quite comfortably and has achieved blockbuster status.

Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy started pretty strongly during the Sankranti season. On day one, it gave Balayya’s career best opening and did a great job during the opening weekend. After the completion of festival days, Veera Simha Reddy dropped at the box office. Still, the movie has managed 100 crores gross. Both these movies have given a great festival gift to Mythri Movie Makers.
