గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో పది వేల థియేటర్లను నెలకొల్పేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ సన్నాహాలు

ప్రభుత్వ రంగ సీఎన్సీ గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో సినిమా థియేటర్లను నెలకొల్పేందుకు సన్నాహాలు చేస్తోంది. రాబోయే రెండేళ్లలో 10వేల కొత్త థియేటర్లను గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో నెలకొల్పడమే లక్ష్యంగా పని చేస్తుంది. ఇందుకోసం గత నెలలో అక్టోబర్ సినిమాస్ తో సీఎన్సీ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్, ఐటీ మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ చేతులు కలిపింది.

గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో 100 నుంచి 200 సీటింగ్ కెపాసిటీ ఉన్న లక్ష థియేటర్లను తెరవాలని ప్రభుత్వంతో ఒప్పందం కుదుర్చుకున్న సీఎన్సీ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ సంజయ్ కుమార్ రాకేష్ తెలిపారు.

2024 చివరి నాటికి ఏకంగా 10 వేల సినిమా థియేటర్లను అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకొచ్చేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఈ సినిమా హాళ్లు నడపాలంటే పెట్టుబడి సుమారు 15 లక్షల వరకు అవసరం అవుతుందన్నారు. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతంలోని వ్యాపారులకు ఈ సినిమా హాళ్లు కొత్త అవకాశాలను కల్పిస్తాయని, ప్రత్యక్షంగా.. పరోక్షంగా ఎంతోమంది ఉపాధి లభిస్తుందని ఆశాభావాన్ని వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

2023 సంవత్సరం చివరకి కనీసం 1500 సినిమా హాళ్ళని ప్రారంభించాలని సిఎస్సి భావోస్తోంది. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలలోనూ థియేటర్లను బలోపేతం చేయాలనే కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ నిర్ణయం మంచిదే. అయితే ఈ నిర్ణయం ఏ మేరకు సత్ఫలితాలను ఇస్తుందా లేదా అనేది తెలియాలంటే కొన్ని రోజులు వేచి చూడక తప్పదు.

ఎందుకంటే అతి తక్కువ ధరలోనే ఓటీటీ ప్లాట్ ఫారంలలోనే కొత్త సినిమాలన్నీ చాలా తొందరగా ప్రేక్షకులకి అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చేస్తున్నాయి. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో కూడా ఓటిటి యాప్ లు చొచ్చుకుపోతున్నాయి. మరి అలాంటి సమయంలో ఇంత భారీ సంఖ్యలో థియేటర్లను కొత్తగా ఏర్పాటు చేయాలనే కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ నిర్ణయం సరైన విధంగా అమలు జరిగి మంచి ఫలితాన్ని ఇవ్వాలని కోరుకుందాం.

Government’s initiative on 10,000 Theatres in Rural areas with a budget of 15L per theatre

State-run CNC is stepping up efforts to establish smaller theaters in rural areas as well. It aims to set up 10,000 new theaters in rural areas in the next two years. Last month, CNC Electronics, The IT ministry has joined hands and launched a joint venture with “Cinemas”.

The agreement has been signed with an aim to open around 10,000 small movie theatres in rural areas, each having seating capacity of 100-200 seats. The timeline for the agreement period has not been defined.

“The concept of cinema halls in villages is still new. The aim is to start small cinema halls with around 100 seats. CSC cinema halls will open new avenues for our VLEs (Village-Level Entrepreneurs).

“”Entertainment sector is booming in India and our VLEs will help in the growth of the sector in rural and semi-urban areas. CSC cinema halls, which will also work as a commercial hub, will make our services more accessible to the people in rural areas,” CSC Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Rakesh said.

Under the memorandum of understanding, CSC (Common Service Centre) plans to open 1,500 cinema halls by the end of 2023 which will also act as a hub of various CSC activities in rural areas.

“We are launching CSC Rural Cinema for the entertainment of villagers in remote areas. India is the world’s largest entertainment market in terms of movie consumption. Our venture will have features to control piracy of films. We have already got over 5,000 express of interest requests from VLEs. We hope to make around 10,000 cinema halls operational in rural areas by the end of 2024,” Punit Desai, Managing Director of October Cinemas.

Dhamaka, the new Film of Mass Maharaja Raviteja is a pakka mass entertainer. The film is being directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina and Raviteja fans have high hopes for the film.

The promotional content of Dhamaka has worked well so far. The songs released from the unit are superb, especially the mass Raja song went viral. As said above, being a Mass entertainer it is creating a perfect impression among the audience.

Raviteja’s brand as a mass hero, young and sensational beauty, Sree Leela acting in the female lead role, has helped the film to get the craze. Director Trinadha Rao has a good image as a commercial director, and he has a good track record with his previous films being super hits, this is helping Dhamaka movie to do excellent business in trade circles.

The theatrical business of Dhamaka is said to be in the range of 20 crores. As the film carrying positive buzz in trade circles, Dhamaka has a high chance of recovering the trade and becoming a super hit at the box office.

Dhamaka is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under people media factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer. Prasanna Kumar Bezwada has composed the story—screenplay and dialogues for the film.

The makers are planning to release ‘Dhamaka’ in theaters across the world on December 23 as a Christmas gift. Ravi Teja has disappointed with ‘Khiladi’ and ‘Rama Rao On Duty’ films earlier this year. We hope he will give a comeback with this film.

HIT 2 appeals to limited audience as post-weekend numbers drop

Adivi Sesh starrer HIT 2 was released last week amidst positive buzz and great anticipation. The film is a prequel to the 2020 investigation thriller HIT which starred Vishwak Sen in the lead role. Sailesh Kolanu, who handled the previous installment has handled this project as well. While HIT 2 was released to mostly positive reviews and good occupancies over the weekend, the weekday performance has been quite a dampener.

HIT and HIT 2 both had very good starts but both films struggled after 1st weekend This Adivi Sesh starter has now witnessed a big drop n Monday and Tuesday. The franchise has been able to attract only a particular set of audiences.

Especially in Andhra Pradesh, the film has not been performing well. Overseas and Hyderabad performance is fine but in other territories, HIT 2 saw dwindling occupancies and a lack of interest from the audience in general.

The film had a terrific first day, and it continued its sensational performance on the weekend at box office. In Nizam, the movie’s theatrical rights are valued at 5Cr and On its 1st weekend itself it collected 5 Crores share, which makes it achieve the Break-even mark.

The upcoming Sankranthi season will see a three-way clash between Waltair Veerayya, Veera Simha Reddy, and Tamil dubbing movie Varasudu. The theaters allocation issue will be a huge headache now with so many rules and logics, discussions pouring in.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu which is releasing in Telugu as Varasudu has the backing of Dil Raju one of the top producers of the Telugu Film Industry, and reportedly he has already blocked a substantially high number of screens for the film because he’s the producer.

Now, Vizag Film Distribution Association has issued a letter to local exhibitors which is in connection with the much expected Sankranthi clash.

In the letter, it is mentioned that exhibitors should prefer Telugu films during festival seasons like Sankranthi and Dasara. “The association had extensively discussed the need to prioritize Telugu films during the festival seasons. Exhibitors are hereby requested to do the needful and give top preference to Telugu films during the festival season” the letter read.

This comes after a few weeks when TPFC had issued a statement, saying Telugu films Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veeraaya should be preferred for screening in Telugu states over dubbed film, Varasudu.

But all said and done, rules and regulations are only for namesake in the Telugu Film Industry. Powerful and influential people will make things go their way. We know that Dil Raju has the command over a huge share of theatres in both the Telugu States.

The other big production houses and distribution giants like Geeta Arts and Suresh Productions have good terms with Dil Raju. So anyways, he’s going to win in this battle of theatres and mend the rules according to him.

The restaurant named AN Restaurants was started by Suniel Narang and Bharat Narang in collaboration with Namrata Mahesh. ‘AN Restaurants’- Minerva Coffee Shop will have a grand opening on December 8th.

Mahesh Babu is also said to have recently made a large investment in real estate. He is one of India’s highest-paid actors. Furthermore, he earns more money from brands because he endorses many of them.

The first branch of the AN restaurant is coming up in Nira Towers on Road: 12, Banjara Hills. Palace Heights is also being set up and it will be launched soon.
