Baba re release 1st week collections, Jalsa still holds the record

On the occasion of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 72nd birthday, they re-released the film Baba, which was a flop 20 years ago. But it so happened that they delivered the film with high hopes, and now the film has completed its one-week run on the second release.

The film Baba, which was screened with among massive craze around rajini fans, unfortunately got caught in the rain’s storm. Tamil Nadu saw heavy cyclone while we saw the effect of the same in the Telugu states too.

As a result, many people did not show up out of their houses and Rajini fans could not enter to the theaters. This affected Baba numbers and the film took a massive hit in the collections.

The 1st week gross of Baba re release is around 2.25 Crores and Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa gross is around 3 crores, which means Jalsa still holds the re release collections record.

Baba re-release was done with a lot of dedication from the film’s team, few scenes were trimmed and climax was also altered.

Rajinikanth even dubbed freshly for the voice-over at the starting of the film. The audience liked all these changes and felt that if the new climax was adjusted at the original release time, Baba would have been a successful film.

Avatar 2 failed to beat the opening of Avengers Endgame in India

Avatar 2 has been released across the country and the feedback has been excellent so far at the box office. However, there’s a clear difference between the northern parts and southern parts of India as the film is showing excellent response in the latter.

Even before the release, North India bookings were a shock to Avatar 2 as the bookings were pretty low while south India bookings were very good. Before the release, everyone has expected the film will open big in every territory in India and also create a new milestone for Hollywood movies.

But now the film is looking at an opening of 40 Crores net and Avengers Endgame has 50 Cr+ opening in India. It looks like it is impossible for Avatar 2 to beat the openings of endgame, even if the night shows have Extraordinary bookings.

Avatar The Way of Water is a sequel to James Cameron’s Avatar which was released way back in 2009. Considering the sequel factor and the tremendous goodwill of the first part, the excitement is at its peak for part 2 in the audience. The hype is clearly getting translated into numbers. The advance booking of the film has crossed the 20 crore mark on day 1.

Avatar 2 has registered an average occupancy of 30-35% across the country. It also includes reports from the 2D version, which is performing low. On the other hand, 3D,4DX and IMAX versions are showing superb responses.

Considering a huge screen count of,more than 3800, the occupancy is promising, and the response will only get better in the evening shows with positive WOM.

ఒక్క క్షణం దిల్ రాజు మాటలు నిజమే అనుకున్నా.. అదే లాజిక్ ను తెలుగులో అన్వయిస్తే మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి, నందమూరి బాలకృష్ణలకు ఎక్కువ థియేటర్లు సమకూర్చాలి. అయితే ఇక్కడ దిల్ రాజు మాత్రం వారసుడు సినిమాకు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో భారీ సంఖ్యలో థియేటర్లను అందిస్తున్నారు.

తన సొంత లాజిక్ ఫాలో అయితే విజయ్ కి బాలకృష్ణ, చిరంజీవి సినిమాలకు ఇచ్చే థియేటర్లలో ఒకటిన్నర శాతం కూడా స్క్రీన్లు దక్కేవి కావు. కానీ దిల్ రాజు మాత్రం వారసుడు కోసం బాలకృష్ణ, చిరంజీవి సినిమాలతో సమానంగా స్క్రీన్లను లాక్ చేస్తున్నారు.

అయితే సమస్య ఏమిటంటే మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి వాల్తేరు వీరయ్య, నందమూరి బాలకృష్ణ నటించిన వీరసింహారెడ్డి వంటి ఇతర చిత్రాల ఖర్చులకు దిల్ రాజు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వకపోవడమే.

ఇటీవల దిల్ రాజు నిర్మాతల సమ్మెలో పాల్గొని భారీ పరాజయాన్ని చవిచూశారు. స్ట్రైక్ సమయంలో అన్ని సినిమాల షూటింగ్ ఆగిపోయెలా చేసిన దిల్ రాజు.. తన సినిమా షూటింగ్ ఆపని కారణంగా వివాదాల్లో నిలిచారు.

Dil Raju being a senior and one of the top producers and distributors, has spoken with sound proofs and perfect logics in the past when any situation of controversy raised in the Telugu Film Industry.

But don’t know what happened to Dil Raju all his late comments look foolish. In a new interview, he said Vijay is a bigger star than Ajith in Tamil Nadu and for that reason, he demands extra screens for Vijay’s Varisu film in TN.

It’s agreeable that Vijay has massive lead over Ajith outside areas apart from Tamil Nadu. But in Tamil Nadu, Ajith is on par with Vijay because of the enormous fan base which he enjoys.

For a moment if we agree to the words of Dil Raju, by applying the same logic he should provide the theaters in Telugu States to Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna, but here Dil Raju is providing a huge number of theaters for Varasudu in Telugu states.

If he follows his own logic, then Vijay could not get 1/5 screens of Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi’s films. But Dil Raju is locking the screens on par with Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi movie for Varasudu.

As we said already, Dil Raju has been the center of attraction for many controversies in the recent past. So, he should think carefully while giving this kind of statements, if not it will create more problematic situations for him.

After that, the film went to the Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Mahesh Babu acted under the direction of Vamsy Paidipally for Maharshi. Though the film became a superhit and received a national award Mahesh fans didn’t like the film as they felt it was a rehash of other hit films of Mahesh.

Varisu has almost completed its shooting and already two songs from the film have been released which were good hits.

However, these positive points are not in the discussions of the movie-goers, as the Controversies regarding the theaters allocation of Varisu in Telugu States had taken too many turns. We know that Varisu is being released in Telugu as Varasudu.

Dil Raju with a string of successes became one of the top producer and a distributor in Telugu Film Industry. But over the past six months, he has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. His strange and contradicting statements are the reason for criticism of him.

Dil Raju is receiving harsh trolling in social media too for the same reasons. A few years back, Dil Raju said that Telugu films that have not been dubbed should be given theaters for the festival seasons on a priority basis.

Dil Raju’s production Varisu is releasing for Sankranti 2023 and the movie has already attracted quite a lot of negativity in Telugu states due to theatres occupancy issues. The Telugu Film Producer’s Council issued a statement saying Dil Raju should follow his own statement that he made back in 2019 and priority must be given to Telugu films.

Now, the ace producer has found himself in another controversy after his recent statement on Vijay and Ajith. The stars are the biggest names in the Kollywood film industry and there has been a race to the no.1 spot between the two stars for almost 2 decades. While fans have continuously fought over who’s the bigger star of the two, industry insiders always kept a diplomatic silence on the issue.

Dil Raju, who is working with Vijay on Varisu has now broken this norm and directly declared that Vijay is in fact a bigger star with more market value than Ajith.
