NTR to Unveil the Magnificent 56-Feet Statue of Legendary Sr NTR

The birth centenary celebrations of Legendary SR NTR are being planned in a grand way in the Telugu States. A 54-feet statue of NTR will be installed at Lakaram Tank Bund in Khammam. JR NTR will unveil the statue on May 28. Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar met NTR to invite him to the statue inauguration ceremony. The arrangements for the same were discussed by the both of them.

It is also being said that SR NTR’s statue will be in the form of Lord Krishna. According to the reports, the 54-feet-high statue, along with the basement, will have five feet of head, five feet of legs and 45 feet (0.01 km) of body part. The statue is being installed on top of a basement of 1,000 feet (0.3 km) with a width of 36 feet (0.01 km) in length. The cost of the statue is reportedly Rs 2.3 Crores.

The construction of the statue is proceeding at a rapid pace speed in the Khammam City. The huge statue, which will be seen from all corners of the city, will be a further attraction to the Lakaram Tank Bund. The statue will portray the TDP founder in ‘Krishnavataram’, one of the roles played by the legendary actor. Actually, the statue was to be inaugurated last year itself, but it was postponed because of the delay in the work.

On the work front, NTR is currently working on his 30th film. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is being produced by Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Hari Krishna K under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. The film marks Jahnvi Kapoor Telugu debut. Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the project. Anirudh Ravichandar is the music director. Ratnavelu is handling the cinematography and production design will be handled by Sabu Cyril. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is presenting this highly anticipated action entertainer. The film will be released worldwide on April 5th, 2024.

Shankar is no doubt one of the best directors in the Indian Film Industry. He has mastered the art of mixing both commercial elements and social issues and created a unique form of storytelling.

And being in that top position comes with a few advantages. Shankar has always been able to maneuver his way around dates, schedules, and deadlines. Most of the producers have complained that Shankar always changes the shooting days and alters the budget after the start of the shoot.

Pune Police stops the AR Rahman’s live show concert

Music director AR Rahman held a live performance in Pune on Sunday when police arrived on the scene. The cops came out and asked the show to stop, and a video of the same thing went viral after it was shared on Twitter by ARR fans. Following the incident, the Pune police released a clarification and said that the Singer-Composer had exceeded the deadline of 22 hours, i.e.10:PM.

Reportedly, AR Rahman was stopped when he was performing his hit track Chaiyya Chaiyya. However, since he performed even after 10pm, he was asked to stop his show, the authorities said.

Smartana Patil, DCP Zone 2, Pune Police, said, “Rahman was singing his last song, and while singing he did not realize that it was already past 10 pm, so our police official who was at the venue went and conveyed to him the deadline to be followed as per the SC guidelines after that he stopped singing.”

On Monday, AR Rahman tweeted pictures from the Pune concert and promised his fans that he’ll be back soon. He said, “Pune! Thank you for all the love and euphoria last night! Was such a roller coaster concert! No wonder, Pune is home to so much classical music! We shall be back soon to sing with you all again.”

The concert was held around the Raja Bahadur windmill in Pune. The timings of the live concert were from 8pm-10 pm. Since AR Rahman overstepped the deadline, he was also reportedly questioned by the officers. As per the media, he was asked why he continued to sing in the show after 10 pm, following which AR Rahman left the stage.

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released on 30th April to mostly positive reviews and special applause for the master director’s narration and Vikram and Aishwarya Rai’s performance. The film, just like its previous version released to packed houses in Tamil Nadu. It has been doing considerably well in overseas markets as well.

However, the same can’t be said about the Telugu and Hindi versions. The film has emerged as a box-office failure in Telugu states and the rest of India. In Telugu states, the film might close with a single-digit share, and in Hindi also, it may do numbers in the range of Ponniyin Selvan1. This is a poor performance considering the standard set by previous big-ticket sequels like Baahubali 2, 2. O and KGF 2 which is very poor for sequels.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 brought okayish numbers in Telugu and did decent box-office figures in Hindi. But the sequel is trending below part 2 in both these two languages. The film marked the return of Cholas and picked up from where the last part ended. Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi will star in this Mani Ratnam directorial. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film.

The 2nd part needs to collect at least 650Cr gross for hit status. Now, the question arises if the film can manage to score well on both these fronts despite the lower-than-expected buzz.
