The film team is busy in promoting the film and is just 10 days away from its theatrical release. However, the failure of the recent films seems to have impacted the film’s business.
Excluding Virupaksha all the April releases have turned as failures, so it has become a tough period for the buyers and Naga Chaitanya’s last film, Thank You also did not do well at the box office. The makers of Custody have expected 25 Crores theatrical business from the Telugu states and before a few days the buyers were also okay with the amount. But now the buyers are asking the movie for lesser prices and now the movie is going expected to do around 18 Crores business in Telugu states according to the trade circles.
The fans of the Akkineni family are very depressed as Akhil Akkineni’s Agent failed in a big way at the box office. Nagarjuna’s last film, The Ghost and Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You were also disasters. Now they need a strong commercial success to get a sigh of relief, and they have put all their hopes on Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Custody now. Overall, the success of Custody will not only regenerate the happiness of fans, but also it is very much important for the Telugu Film Industry as well.
Custody, is set to be released in theaters on May 12 and marks the first-ever collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu. The film also stars Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Sampath Raj and Arvind Swami in crucial roles. It will also be dubbed and released in Hindi along with Telugu and Tamil. The film will have its music and score composed by Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the cinematography is being handled by SR Kathir.
