Normally most directors will not accept their mistakes before their movie release and back their content regardless of the public feedback. In recent times, we have seen several Tollywood as well as Bollywood movies becoming disasters because of their director’s poor planning and refusal to realize the movie’s weaknesses.

Directors of some movies have backed all the content even if it is poor in quality and instead blamed the audience saying they did not know how to watch the film or content. Om Raut seems to be an exception to this trend. Initially, Adipurush was announced for Sankranthi release but many people feels the VFX is bad Om Raut accepted the feedback and started working on it instead of blaming the audience. He has spent sleepless nights for the past 6-7 months.

Now with new trailers and songs, Adipurush has successfully managed to turn negativity into extremely positive buzz and the movie is releasing with very high expectations. Other directors should learn from Om Raut and seek to provide better content if the teasers or trailers are criticized. Lashing out at the audience and asking them to learn to watch the film will only give further negativity to their project.

The grand pre-release event of Adipurush was held in the sacred city of Tirupati. Prabhas and the entire team attended it. The highly anticipated final trailer of“Adipurush” was unveiled by the makers today, which has received a tremendous response from everyone. Prabhas fans are on cloud nine, and they eagerly await to see their favorite hero on screen in the role of Lord Ram.

During the event, filmmaker Om Raut made a humble request to the film’s producers and distributors. Om Raut said wherever Lord Rama’s story is told, Lord Hanuman will be present over there.

He is mocked by the people in his village. Mathachan (Lal) and her son Winston (Narain) earn their livelihood from fishing, while Koshy (Aju Varghese) drives a taxi for tourists. Ramesh (Vineeth Srinivasan), an IT employee in Dubai, faces relationship troubles with his wife in India, and Sethupathi (Kalayirasan) from Tamil Nadu agrees to transport explosives to Kerala as a truck driver. How did the Kerala floods have an impact on the lives of these people? How were they able to survive that catastrophe? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Jude Anthony Joseph directed this survival thriller, and it stars Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, and Joy Mathew, Sudheesh in pivotal roles. Venu Kunnappilly, C.K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph produced the film.

The pre-release event of Prabhas and Om Raut’s mythological drama Adipurush will be the biggest event in the history of Tollywood. The team has created a big Ayodhya set for the event with lighting, big cutouts and a massive crowd is. expected to be present at the event. As said above, a grand set of Ayodhya recreated in Tirupati for the “Adipurush’ pre-release event. Ayodhya, or Ram Mandir, has been recreated in the heart of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, for the pre-release event of Prabhas’ ‘Adi Purush’. The event organizers have used the LED screens to show the replica of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, and the visuals of the same have been going viral on social media now.

Apart from that, a gigantic stage has been erected in the SV University playground that will see countless fans attend the event this evening.

Kerala exhibitors doing a strike against early OTT releases

The exhibitors in Kerala have reportedly decided to take a firm stance against filmmakers of Mollywood for opting for early OTT release of their films. It has been the same with the most of recent Malayalam films that despite having a good run in the theaters, producers have opted for early release on digital platforms.

The latest to join the list is the all-time blockbuster “2018” which was released in theaters on May 5 and will be streaming on Sony Liv from June 7, less than five weeks after the theatrical release. This left the exhibitors disappointed because this movie was running with house fulls across the state of Kerala.

According to the latest news, the theater owners have called for a strike on June 7 and 8 to protest against the early digital releases. It means that theaters will not operate across the state for the next 2 days.

Meanwhile, theaters that come under FEUOK (Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala) are already reportedly considering not continuing “2018” after its OTT release. It is also revealed that theaters in Kerala have started to refund ticket amounts to those who reserved tickets for June 7 and 8.

It should be noted that Kerala exhibitors are requesting a suitable OTT release window for movies for a long time. Except for a few major successful films, the Malayalam industry has struggled to attract decent footfalls to movie theaters because of direct OTT releases and the short gap between theatrical release and OTT Streaming.
