2018 tells us the story of many people who are living in the God’s own country, Kerala. Anup (Tovino Thomas), is a former soldier, who fears death and leaves the military. He is mocked by the people in his village. Mathachan (Lal) and her son Winston (Narain) earn their livelihood from fishing, while Koshy (Aju Varghese) drives a taxi for tourists. Ramesh (Vineeth Srinivasan), an IT employee in Dubai, faces relationship troubles with his wife in India, and Sethupathi (Kalayirasan) from Tamil Nadu agrees to transport explosives to Kerala as a truck driver. How did the Kerala floods have an impact on the lives of these people? How were they able to survive that catastrophe? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
Jude Anthony Joseph directed this survival thriller, and it stars Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, and Joy Mathew, Sudheesh in pivotal roles. Venu Kunnappilly, C.K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph produced the film.
