0

With less than 24 hours to go for its release, the excitement for Prabhas’ Salaar is at an all-time high. Fans are eager to catch Prabhas in an out and out mass action entertainer after a long time and with Prashanth Neel handling the film, fans expect nothing less than fireworks.

Neel, who started his career with Ugram went on to become one of the most popular filmmakers pan-India with the KGF franchise. And now, the ace director himself has made an interesting revelation about the film. He has confirmed that Salaar story is the same as Ugramm and it is made with KGF style. So essentially, Salaar is a combination of his two most successful films. This is something that has been speculated for months and music director Ravi Basrur had also confirmed it some time back.

Neel has also confirmed that there will be no correlation whatsoever between the worlds of Salaar and KGF. The director revealed that Salaar is a story amidst contemporary setup while KGF was set in the 80s. There is no similarity between the two except the style of making.

Hombale Films are producing this much-awaited pan-India project. Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas in this project which also features Prithviraj, Jagapathi Babu, and others. Ravi Basrur is composing the music marking his fourth collaboration with Prashanth Neel after Ugramm, KGF:1, and KGF:2.

  • Boring second half

Dunki Movie Review and Verdict:

Dunki is an ordinary comedy drama that has a decent first half and some engaging episodes in the second half and SRK’s screen presence as it’s plus points. However, lack of strong characters/emotional scenes from Rajkumar Hirani act as minus points. Overall, it can be watched without many expectations.

Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam postponed from Sankranthi

0

A few months ago it was announced that Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Lal Salaam will release for Sankranthi 2024. The veteran star will be seen in a special appearance in this film directed by his daughter Aishwarya.

From Sankranthi, Lal Salaam was first postponed to Republic Day weekend. Vikram’s Thangalaan was also planned for the Republic weekend but it was postponed. With Thangalaan postponement, Lal Salaam is locking this release date. Rajinikanth’s cameo will be a crucial one in this film.

It’s a great decision from Lal Salaam makers as Sankranthi is packed with Telugu and Tamil biggies. Since this is a film having Rajinikanth’s cameo and not him in the lead role, it might not even get screens in Telugu had it released for Sankranthi. On Republic weekend, they will get a big release in both Tamil and Telugu. With Lal Salaam postponed, Captain Miller, Aylaan, and Vijay Sethupathi’s Merry Christmas are now left in the Sankranthi lineup.

The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead and is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner Lyca Productions. It is said that after the stupendous success of Jailer, the role of Rajinikanth in Lal Salaam has been extended slightly but its still a pretty limited one with a big impact.

Mahesh Babu overreacting to Guntur Kaaram songs, and putting a lot of pressure on the team

Mahesh Babu is overreacting to Guntur Kaaram songs, and putting a lot of pressure on the team. It is widely known that the response to the Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s Guntur Kaaram’s second single, Oh My Baby, was not good. Reportedly, the dismal performance had spread disputes between the team of the film.

However, it is not possible for a film to have every song to be clicked. Before release for very rare albums, it happens that all songs become hit. Recently, no Mahesh movie’s album’s songs have reached big. Only one or two songs in an album have worked well for his recent films. Mahesh Babu is overreacting to Guntur Kaaram songs, and putting a lot of pressure on the team.

For Guntur Kaaram, the intro glimpse song bit worked well. The film’s first single, Dum masala also worked to a decent level. The second single, Oh My Baby has received mixed response and the problem is: The team did not release the song after shooting.

The lyrical cut did not have the song video properly, and it looked like a bit song. Mahesh’s recent hit song, Kalavathi from Sarkaru Vaari Paata was successful because the lyrical video had good visuals from the film and a dance bit of Mahesh. So, everything worked for it and all the elements played a key role.

Mahesh’s Pressure on Guntur Kaaram team

Mahesh Babu is said to be pressurizing the team of Guntur Kaaram to rework, replace, or remove a song from the film at this time, which is definitely putting a pressure on the team.

It is widely known that the film, Guntur Kaaram is slated for Sankranthi release and the date is coming nearer and the team should complete the film in time. They should start re recording and post-production works. They will not have much time to spend on songs. One cannot understand why Mahesh Babu is overreacting on the song’s response from the fans. He should understand all things cannot work in the film, and he should avoid bringing negative vibes or extra work to the team at this crucial moment.

PVRINOX CEO responds on Dunki vs Salaar clash on shows count. The PVRINOX multiplex chains have experienced significant social media abuse due to reports of unfair screen sharing practices. On December 21st, Dunki, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will be released. The release date for Salaar Part-1 Ceasefire, which stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran and was directed by Prashanth Neel, is December 22nd.

PVRINOX CEO about Dunki Vs Salaar Clash on Shows count

After some prolonged fight on social media, Kamal Gianchandani, PVRINOX CEO responds on Dunki vs Salaar clash on shows count. “Normally, we try to keep Producers related matters to ourself. But this is one of those times for us to share our point of view. We have come across some absurd internet posts regarding unfair showcasing practices at PVRINOX.”

Kamal Gianchandani dismissed the rumors, further adding, “No one has greater respect and appreciation for all the Producers releasing their films in our theaters than all of us at PVRINOX. Commercial disagreements is par for the course with big films releasing on the same date. Not the first time. Won’t be the last time.”

He concluded by requesting that fans and some overly enthusiastic media circles stop arguing their theories. He said, “Everything will fall in place soon. Please put these ridiculous theories to bed.” Well, the distributors and producers with exhibitors will reach to a conclusion soon. It seems like PVRINOX will work towards screen sharing that pleases all in coming days.

Salaar team counter to PVRINOX team

As said above, Salaar team was not happy with the National chains allocating more shows for Dunki and not giving even minimum screens to Salaar. So to counter the problem, the team came up with a risky decision that they would not release the film in National Plexes in South India.

It looks like the gutsy decision has worked in favor of them and the settlement regarding the screen sharing between Dunki and Salaar will be happening is very soon in favor of Salaar.

Dunki – Reviews and audience WOM are very crucial

0

Dunki Reviews and audience WOM are very crucial. It is widely known that Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, Dunki, will be released in theaters worldwide tomorrow. The reviews and audiences’ WOM are very crucial for the movie. If it was a commercial film like Pathaan or Jawan, even an average or decent word of mouth could have worked big at the box office, as we have already seen.

But films like Dunki, which offer only content and not mass masala entertainment, need great reviews and unanimous positive word of mouth from the audience to put massive numbers at the box office. Dunki Reviews and audience WOM are very crucial.

All five films of Rajkumar Hirani have opened with unanimously positive reviews and responses. Shah Rukh Khan fans expect the same for Dunki, and for Dunki, there is also a big film, Salaar, in competition, which is a significant action film.

Commercially, there is no risk for the Producers of Dunki as both Raj Kumar Hirani and Shahrukh Khan are the makers. The film’s budget is just 85Cr without the remuneration of the actor and director. The nontheatrical business is done for 240Cr, so financially, there is no pressure on anyone for Dunki.

But it should collect big numbers like Pathaan and Jawan at BO to prove the movie is a success at the box office. For that, early reviews and talk are critical.

The film is aiming around the 35Cr range opening in India on day one, and as far as the overseas is concerned, a 3M+ start is expected by the trade. Overall, around 65Cr worldwide gross is being predicted on the opening day.

Tollywood doesn’t need to support Salaar makers on Dunki Politics

0

Tollywood doesn’t need to support Salaar makers on Dunki Politics. It is widely known that Rebel Star Prabhas’s Salaar and King Khan Dunki are competing at the box office on Christmas weekend. While the films are lined up for release on consecutive days, the heat around the clash has gone to the next level because of the issues in theater allocation for both films. Tollywood doesn’t need to support Salaar makers on Dunki Politics.

This evening, it was reported that Salaar’s release in South Indian Multiplexes like PVR, Inox, and Miraj Cinemas in southern states is on hold. The reason is said to be the politics or dealings of the Dunki team with the plex owners. So, this led to a discussion and argument of North vs South, and Prabhas fans want the others to support them. But to be transparent, Tollywood doesn’t need to support Salaar makers on Dunki Politics.

Tollywood does not need to unite to support Salaar Movie. Due to Salaar’s inconsistent planning, many movies have faced the consequences. It is widely known that the pan-Indian film Salaar was set to be released on September 28th but was postponed at the last minute and later scheduled for a December 22nd release. Recent releases suffered losses of crores because of Salaar’s change in release date. Salaar makers should take responsibility for their bold and daring decision to compete with a big Bollywood film.

Bollywood Trade argues that Dunki announced the release date first, and Salaar announced later, so they decided on the competitive release. Salaar will be prioritized in southern markets with maximum screens, so why can’t we do the same? This is a valid argument, and Tollywood doesn’t need to support Salaar makers on Dunki Politics as they face issues because of their own mistakes.
